CHAPTER 3: THREE BROTHERS

1755 Words
AMERY'S POV "You can't be serious." "Heck I mean every word." "I see no reason you're both being this bothered about this. Just let her go and let's forget we even saw her." "Easy for you to say, Quincy. Don't you realize how huge everything going on is?" I woke up to a splitting headache, positive my headache was birthed from the jabbering of whoever the people around me were. I felt tired and weak, confused on what was going on or where I was. I managed to look around me, the voices getting louder. My vision felt blurry for a while, leaving me with nothing but the sound of their voices. "Levi-" "No can do, Asher," I heard another man speak. "We need to take this opportunity we are given and grasp it to the fullest. We finally have her with us here, so it's best we get rid of her as smoothly as we can." My eyes immediately jolted open on hearing the last words from whichever man it was. In an instant, I looked around me again, realizing I was in a foreign looking room with three men standing few meters away from me. Though all I could see was their back views, the strong scent from them had now become familiar, making me immediately realize they were the three men from the woods earlier. Heck, it wasn't all a dream. Acting on my first instincts, I immediately rose my body in an attempt to get off the bed I was laid in, only to realize I'd been shackled down to the bed. Though everything still seemed strange and unfamiliar, one thing was sure - they meant no good. "Who are you!" I yelled out to them, insanely frightened by the situation of things. "Why do you have me here?" My loud voice did the trick, finally having them turn in my direction, the three of them staring directly at me. I felt cold shivers run down my spine at their stare, my eyes slowly descending on them one after the other. Now fully clothed, they all stared intensely at me, looking devilishly handsome. Perhaps the sexiest men I’ve ever set my eyes on. I immediately caught the grey eyes of one of them, recognizing him to be the handsome stranger that carried me all the way here. The other two weren't left out, having their own god-like gorgeousness. With rich colored hair, beautiful alluring eyes and a tight muscular body their clothes failed to hide, they all looked like Greek gods. Or goddamn models. They were captivating, breathtaking to the point that I found it impossible to take my eyes off them. It was almost crazy. To find myself attracted to three different men, all at the same time. I swallowed then looked away, reminding myself they were no good. After all, they had just kidnapped me and had me shackled down to a bed. "Let me go!" I resumed yelling at them. "Who the hell are you people? You'd better let me go this instant. What do you want from me anyways? I-" "Shh, darling." Like it was magic, I immediately pressed my lips against each other on one of their commands. The one with streaks of silver white and black strands mixed in his tousled hair, he looked at me then shook his head, a smirk appearing on his face. What was that effect he had on me? Fighting the urge to do nothing but stare at him until I got lost in his light hazel eyes, I resumed screaming at them. That was until the handsome man with white hair stormed over, irritation painted all over his face and with him letting out a threatening hiss, he stuffed a random cloth into my mouth, thereby literally shutting me up. My screams came out in muffled sounds and he obviously didn't care as he covered my mouth even harder, glaring menacingly. "Keep that pretty mouth of yours shut," he said in a tone that caused me to shiver, making me realize it was an order. "Another sound and you lose that tongue." I gulped, staring at his emotionless grey eyes. My breath hitched, heating running down at his close proximity. He pinned me against the bed, his grip having more effect than imagined on me. I quickly swallowed every word of objection I had. "That's enough, Levi," one of the men said, moving towards the one whose grip was tightened on me. Another hiss escaped his lips before he shot me a final glare and loosened his grip on me. "Stop scaring our little mate." Watching him get pulled away by the other, I shivered and let out a sigh of relief, quickly remembering his words again. Mate? What in the world did they mean by that? "It's okay," the one that called me ‘little mate’ said, taking a seat close to me on the bed. He gave me a reassuring smile then placed his hand over mine, my body immediately tensing up at his touch. I flinched, taking myself by surprise with my reaction. He looked at me, obviously noticing my reaction then gave an attractive smile. "You don't have to be scared." The man whispered and for a moment, his deep baritone almost convinced me. Heck, I was beyond scared. I was in an unknown place with unknown men who just kept on uttering strange nonsenses to me. Slowly, I looked at the trio again. I could finally differentiate them. The cold greyed one with white hair being the one occasionally sending me death glares. In contrast to him, the emerald green eyed one with midnight black hair sitting next to me was nice enough to offer me charming smiles. The last man of their group standing by the window, arms folded with light hazel eyes and a mix of black and white hair seemed extremely uninterested in what was going on. "Who are you guys?" I asked again, this time directing my question towards the man seated next to me. Out of the trio, he sincerely seemed like the only one who was going to be a tad bit willing to listen and answer me. "What do you want from me?" I asked again. "I'm Asher," he introduced softly, as if I was a fragile doll he didn’t want to break. "And these are my brothers. We-" "Would you go straight to the point?" The white hair guy rolled his eyes. "Would you stop being such a jerk to our mate?" Asher immediately retorted to the man I believed was his brother with a harsh tone. I heard him let out an exhale before returning his gaze towards me, an enthralling smile reappearing on his face. "It's okay. You don't have to be scared." Earning a nod from me, he moved closer to me until there was almost no space between us and carefully freed me from the chains I was tied with. We were so close, I could literally feel his breath on me as he moved, touching my hands and feet gently and delicately until I was completely set free. "There you go." "Oh," I breathed out, suddenly realizing I held my breath the whole time. "Oh. Thank you." "Now, back to the introductions," he continued with a spark in his eyes. It managed to make my insides tingle. "I'm Asher and these are my brothers. You see the grumpy looking one over there, that's Levi." Levi. Even his name sounded as emotionless as he looked. "And the one standing by the window like he was forced to be here?" He said with a light chuckle. "That's Quincy." "Oh," there was something about his tone that made me feel at ease. With him close to me, I somehow felt safe and no longer scared, prompting me to easily tell him my name. "I'm Amery." "A beautiful name for a beautiful girl," he grinned, checking me out seductively. My cheeks suddenly flushed. "Now tell me, Amery, how did you get to this part of the woods? Obviously, you aren't from around here." "No, I'm not," I replied, eager to tell him how odd I felt in the woods. "I got lost. I was walking and got lost." "A little clumsy, aren't you?" He said, giving my chin a little lift. "It's okay, that's fine with me. So, what pack are you from?" "Pack?" I asked again, a new wave of confusion finding its way to me. "What do you mean by that?" "Are you f*****g with us right now?" Levi interrupted our calm interrogating session with his usual irritation. "Don’t f*****g lie to our face. What pack are you from?" What an asshole. I looked at Asher again, hoping to meet his eyes so I could feel a little bit of comfort. All he could offer me was a glance, then he immediately rose to his feet to walk towards his brother. "Levi, calm down." "Fine," he let out, of course not without another glare. "I'll be calm." "Amery," returning to his nice and comforting self, Asher again sat next to me. "I think you're taking things a bit too lightly. You don't have to be scared to admit to being a werewolf. We're also werewolves and we're your mates. Didn't you feel it already? Don't you feel the bond between us?" Werewolves? What! "What?" I asked, genuinely confused. "What are you talking about? You're a wolf? What? I'm a human and I really don't understand what you're talking about? What mate? What bond?" Asher went silent for a while before turning to face his brothers. "Guys, I don't think she knows what she is." "Bull s**t," Levi spat, taking the lead in an instant. "She's lying. She's f*****g lying. But it's fine. Let's see how much longer you can keep that act on." Before I could utter a single word or hide behind Asher, Levi appeared in front of me, looking at me dangerously in the eye. He was doing it again. Staring at me in the manner that made it literally impossible for me to look away. In a way that spun my insides in a twist and caused my breath to hitch. Unable to break our locked gaze, something hot flickered between us. However, his cold greys darkened, growing even more distant and before I could dare blink, he invoked the greatest of fear and shock in me as he transformed into a gigantic white wolf right in front of me.
