Blakes Point Of View
"Well what do we have here?" Logan called out as the blonde bombshell made her way back into my place.
What the hell was she doing? had she not heard our little exchange whilst she was outside? Most girls wouldn't come within an inch of a guy like Logan. But here she was, a goddess dressed all in red, waltzing into the bar and right into trouble! I wondered how long it would be before I called the cops.
The girl, who I'd learnt from Kal was called Piper, completely ignored him and walked up to me at the bar. She was the most attractive woman I had ever seen. Her blond almost white hair was pinned up and away from her face which gave me a better view of her stunning blue eyes which were fully focused on me right now. I felt like she could see right into my soul, that there would be no way of hiding anything from her. She wasn't wearing much make-up and her skin was completely flawless. Her body was to die for. curvy hips and ass, small waist and perfect breasts in perfect proportion. I figured she'd had a lot of unwanted attention in the past and was probably used to shrugging it off. The thought of any other man appraising her the way I was right now pissed me off. I didn't want to think about anyone else going near her. That didn't mean I wanted her myself and I certainly didn't want her being attacked in my bar!
"I'd like to order some dessert please" She told me in a clear firm voice. Jesus darlin' couldn't it have waited?
"I'm sure we could help you out with that couldn't we fella's" Logan said to her, voice dripping with innuendo.
I clenched my fists tight at my sides. I despised Logan and right now I just wanted to rip his head off of his shoulders. I would kill him if I got half the chance, but he wasn't worth doing time for.
"That's quite alright" She replied without looking back at her audience. She cut her eyes back to the table where she had been sitting. She'd left her bag out there but didn't seem worried about it. More like she was looking somewhere else. I didn't waste any time thinking about that. Women made no sense to me, especially the pretty ones.
"C'mon I'll give you the best dessert you've ever had!" Logan continued.
"That's really not up to you," she said quietly, almost menacingly. Did she have no flight mode? She must have a screw loose to keep challenging him, either that or she had a thing for bad boys, although she looked a little to mature for school girl crushes. She looked outside again for just a second, when she looked back towards me her expression was one of relief. Maybe she was worried about her bag after all.
Logan was irritated beyond belief. He'd had enough of this girl showing him up in front of his crew. I had no time to react before he lunged forward and grabbed her arm tightly.
"LOGAN! What the f**k?" I yelled at him but he wasn't interested in anything I had to say.
He shook her roughly "Don't play hard to get angel, you didn't wear a dress like that this evening for nothing." Logan loved nothing more than to frighten women, it gave him a real kick.
Piper looked at her forearm where his giant meaty fingers were leaving their mark. She place her right hand on his and ran her finger tips over his lightly. I felt sick. Surely she wasn't leaving with this Asshole?
"That's better," Logan said quietly.
Quicker than I'd ever seen anyone move in my life time she picked up her left foot and smashed it down on top of his. There was and almighty crunching sound and I physically winced imagining how much that had hurt!
"FUUCCCKKK" Yelled Logan, but she wasn't finished. She grabbed the hand that she had previously been caressing, lifted it above her shoulder and twisted away from him so that his dominant hand was now crushed against his back. She finished off by grabbing his neck and pushing his face down onto the bar.
"You crazy f*****g b***h!" One of the boys screamed from behind her, but no one moved.
"Logan, is it?" She asked him voice saccharine. He nodded his head as best as he could with it being glued to my bar.
"Well, Logan, I've had a pretty eventful day and just want to eat in peace, so if you and your buddies could leave me the f**k alone whilst I order my dessert I'd be so grateful." She had a killer smile on her face, and even though I knew it wasn't from happiness I still had to fight myself from smiling back at her.
After another 10 seconds of complete silence she let Logan go. I fished my mobile out of my back pocket and held on to it. I couldn't be sure that the guys wouldn't kick the s**t out her right here and now. I'd need to get the emergency services out sharpish.
"Cheesecake please," She said, locking eyes with me again.
"I'll bring it out," What else could I say?
She walked back out of the bar and back to her table. I was absolutely floored by her!
"We're out of here!" Logan declared and turned away from the bar "You're customers are giving this place a real bad name, you might want to bar her" he used his thumb to point towards Piper "Or who knows what could happen to your family business."
Another day, another threat. "I'll give it some thought" I muttered, knowing that I would do nothing of the sort. Hopefully he wouldn't burn the place down!
Logan studied me for longer than was necessary, and then turned on his heel. One by one they walked out, except for Logan, he was limping pretty badly. Once he'd gone I allowed myself to chuckle before I remembered Kal. I bolted into the kitchen but it was empty. The Chef and Kal had cleared out. I didn't blame either of them, Marco had nothing to do and my brother was trying to stay as far away from Logan as possible.
I grabbed the cheesecake from a dessert stand and cut a generous slice for my only customer. I doubted very much she'd eat it being the size that she was but at least I was being nice. 'Why bother though?' I asked myself. She was never coming back in here again after the way Logan had behaved, and I didn't want her to anyway. Women were a complication that I didn't have time for. But that girl blew my mind! The way she had handled the whole situation had been awesome and that was before she'd kicked his ass! She certainly didn't need any looking after.
I shook my head to clear my thoughts and went back out to the restaurant. Piper was outside on her phone. Considering how loud she had been in the bar earlier she was incredibly quiet now. I found myself straining my ear to see if I could catch any of her conversation. Was she on the phone to her husband? She wasn't wearing any rings, so boyfriend maybe? I didn't want to interrupt her phone call so I hovered with her plate for a bit, feeling like an i***t. Hang on a sec, this was my diner, I didn't have to wait for anyone's permission to serve their table. I stomped out onto the decking, this chick was already causing me way too much hassle. The sooner she was out of my hair the better.
