*Ding* the elevator finally arrived it’s destination. Francis walked ahead of Annette into an office with seemed to be at the top of a sky scrapper, a woman in her mid forties stood before them with a cigar between her lips… she leaned against her desk dressed in a white shirt and black pants, a long dark fur coat hung over her shoulder and she gazed steadily at Annette. Picking up a glass of wine that stood on her desk she took gentle steps towards her, taking a glimpse at Francis she took out her cigar and handed it over to him before taking a small sip of her wine. “Annette. V. Vladimir” she stated in a low British accent, Annette smirked and slid her hands into her pocket… she tilted her head taking the office in view before turning over to the lady that stood in front of her. “Nice place you got here” the woman turned over to Francis giving him a signal to leave the room before leading the way to a leather chair that stood at the end of the office. She sat with her legs crossed and fixed her eyes on Annette who stood in front of her. “Being a fan of the rouge community is not enough reason for you to volunteer” she stirred her glass gently still staring at Annette “You definitely have other motives, I did some research and I found out that our so called fan hangs out with a detective from the Aket investigation bureau” her gaze fell to her glass awaiting Annette reply, her right brow sprung up after a minute of silence and she turned over to Annette “So…?” “...I love the contrast…” Annette shrugged, she definitely knew that just being a fan wouldn’t cut it and was quite surprised it worked – I mean she’d come up with the plan on the spot and blurted it out. “Miss Vladimir, do you know why I asked Francis to bring you here?” she stood up from her seat and casually adjusted her fur coat over her shoulder. “Well it’s definitely not because I said I was a fan” “Right… Let’s just say I know why you are here” she moved towards her desk and picked up a file that laid upon the desk while setting down her wine glass on the desk. She opened the file and stared at Annette who was eager to know what she knew about her being here. “Mr. Venin and Clara Vladimir were murdered in their living room at 10:00pm, their thirteen years old daughter who happened to be only survivor reported that her parents was attacked by a man beast… quote and quote humanoid” she flung the file over to Annette who stood puzzled, she couldn’t believe that this woman actually figured it out. “No need to be alarmed sweetheart as a matter of fact I also want to get to the end of this mystery” she picked up the glass again and gulped down the remaining drop of wine. “Why is that?” Annette muttered staring at the files that laid in front of her. “Well quite frankly if the bastard had only killed Venin, I wouldn’t have a problem with it but he got my sister involved too” she smirked “Your sister?” Annette walked over to the lady in front of her perplexed, her mother had never once mentioned anything about her family before and she doubted the words of this lady. “I’m Louisa Lane, sister to Clara Lane and apparently your aunt” Annette chuckled at this statement and crossed her hands over her chest “And where precisely has this aunt been all this years” she frowned taking more steps towards Louisa so their faces were only inches apart. “Well since my niece decided to be moving from city to city looking for little pieces to fix her puzzle, I decided to be patient and wait for you” Louisa stated. Moving away from and Annette she moved behind her desk and pulled out the last drawer. “For ten year?” “Look, I didn’t know I was an aunt until after my sister's death, so you don’t expect me to warm up to you. If not for the fact that you also have my sister's blood I wouldn’t have requested to see you. Your bastard father is the reason my sister is dead so of course it took me so long to finally say hi” she blurted pulling out an album from her drawer “This are my family pictures, you can go through them if you don’t believe me. My parents were against your mom’s idea to marry Venin and cut off all ties with her after their union” Annette picked the album from the desk and carefully went through the pictures… there was no way she would have prepared all this in just a few hours – she was telling the truth, Annette looked up at Louisa and couldn’t tell if she was happy or not. Once again she was far from the truth about her parents death but some how she felt this new connection she’d made would help in her quest. “So, what do you want?” she muttered “The toxin you took would soon start to take its effect so you need to think carefully before you reply” Louisa said staring out at the beautiful night sky. “If we both have a common enemy why use a toxin on me” Annette held her head feeling really dizzy “I don’t know the kind of person you are, for all I care you could be some form of goody two shoes… I mean you hang out with a cop” “He’s my best friend and if I was a goody two shoes I would have come here with back up” she stated supporting herself with the desk “Look the cops didn’t believe me, so why would they now. I have decided to get justice for my parents death in my own way” Louisa turned over Annette, she could feel the rage coming from her. She was determined to get back at her parents murderers with whatever method she could think of. "Well then it seems we are on the same page, what a waste” she sighed handing over another vail to Annette “I’m putting everything on the line now by trusting you, don’t let me down” Annette gulped down the substance in the vail and nodded “What do you want me to do?” “I want you to be bait” Louisa grinned.
