ch 14 the stand

Becka stumbled back a little dazed but not for long she came roaring back teeth and claws out. she wasn't going to let this nobody win. Becka slashed her claws to the side of the white wolf and pushed her back. when the white wolf lay on the ground her snow white fur was turning a brilliant red. Emma shifted back to allow her wolf to heal faster. Becka advanced on her quickly. " tonight you die!" Becka screamed as she lunged at Emma. Emma's eyes turned suddenly snowy white and her body began to light up absorbing the earth's energy. mid air Becka started crying out in pain as light hit her and dropped her. she hit the ground with a thud whimpering out.

Emma eyes still snow looked at Becka in pitty. " last time for mercy Becka. "

" what the f**k are you?" Becka pushed herself to her feet.

" the minute your mother had all those white wolves slaughtered, " focusing her eyes on Becka. spookily void of anything but white snow. " all their power the gifts bestowed on them by the moon Goddes herself before they were born," beckas eyes grew with shock. " all their gifts were bestowed on me since there was no other white wolf to be born. I am the last born white wolf......until my child is born. something even more sacred will be mine and Colin's wolves together. this child will balance the earth and create peace. yin and yang. imagine what will be bestowed on our pups. this little guy in me right now ." becka looked up at Emma in disbelief and shock.

"NO! you're lying! you're pregnant?...." Becka said in shock. " you can't be! he is mine you b***h! you can't have him!" Becka glared at Emma in pure hate.

" the fact that we were married days ago should tell you something and the fact that I'm having our child should seal it for you." Emma's eyes closed as she spoke. " now Becka, I will give you one last chance before I end this. you and your hunters won't make it out alive if you don't back out now."

Becka laughed crazily her eyes wild. Anger oozed from her pores. without warning Becka shifted back to her wolf and lunged at Emma. With a swift movement Emma shifted to her wolf. her sharp claws sliced Becka's side. Becka grabbed at her side letting out a sharp scream of pain and confusion. " you b***h! the hunters are out there! if I die the entire town dies!" the beautiful white wolf bowed her head in anticipation of Becka's next move. Becka was irratic and her eyes were wild. circling the snowy wolf growling at her Becka lunged at her back. Becka latched onto her back causing the white to turn red. Becka was thrown off onto the ground as a white fury foot came down next to her. " you wont win Emma. give up." becka raised off the ground her movements becoming more sporadic the angrier she got. her breath coming in short pants.

" trust me when I tell you I will kill every hunter who has helped you. no one threatens my pack." Emma was calm as she leaned towards Becka. her movements no longer making sense and she was hurt. Emma had shifted into her human form as becka had. " you are hurt. concede now and you live.... ignore these warnings and you won't..." Emma looked at Becka in pitty knowing her pride wouldn't allow her to give up. " I'm begging you Becka. stop this" Emma waited for Becka to respond. Becka lashed out at Emma her hands shifting to claws. Emma moved swiftly out of the way nodding at Becka in understanding that she was not giving up. Becka let out a loud piercing whistle right before Emma shifted back to her wolf. in a swift move Emma grabbed Becka with her jaws. clenching down on her throat and ripping it from her. Emma shifted back to her human form tears in her eyes as Becka laid on the ground her body lifeless. Emma kneeled down the tears now streaming down her face. " this isn't what I wanted!" Her hands covering her face now as she leaned over Becka.

from the corner of her eyes she saw a shadow in the distance. a whizzing noise flew past her ear and landed in the Earth beside her. she looked at it with no expression on her face. an arrow stuck in the ground beside her. as she was still kneeling beside Becka's body the ground now crimson ,Emma reached for the arrow in the ground. she rose from the ground arrow in hand as she amplified her voice to the forests edge. " leave now if you want to live" her voice boomed and echoed through the forest. another arrow struck the ground. silver tipped arrows came out of no where. the town had become a war zone. Emma's eyes changed glowing white as she put her hands together. a ball of light had begun to emerge between the palms of her hands. the light now glowing with a burning intensity. wind began to pick up along the forest edge, yet around the town it was strangely calm. the town started to wake up with activity as people became curious about the noises going on. a ball of lightning shot from Emma's hands as a swarm of silver tipped arrows came reigning down on the town. people began to run and duck for cover but the arrows never came. they all looked up to see the most beautiful iridescent dome protecting them from the war that had begun.

Emma mind linked Colin to surround the hunters within the forest. do not attack until I tell you to. it is important you do this. I am using everything I have right now to protect the towns people. wait for my signal.

yes my future Luna. Colin was in love with Emma. he knew she would make am amazing Luna some day when his father and mother stepped down. Emma, I love you.

Emma smiled inside her head as she watched the hunters try to swarm the dome. they couldn't penetrate it. she waited until she saw all the hunters at the dome silver swords and silver tipped arrows trying to make their way into the dome. Emma mind linked Colin one more time. it's time! attack now! the wolves attacked the hunters catching them all off guard as they ripped them apart. they had no way of retreat and they were trapped between the barrier of the dome and the wolves. once every last hunter was gone Emma released the dome over the pack town and fell to the ground unconscious. the last thing she saw was Colin running to her screaming her name.

Emma woke up in the darkness but she was not afraid. her wolf was resting peacefully as a clearing began to light up. the moon lit a path towards the waters edge as the light danced across the ripples. she smiled at the beautiful sight. she walked to the water as it felt like it was calling her to it. out of the water rose a beautiful lady wearing a white dress that fell to her shoeless feet. she was absolutely beautiful perfection in every feature. her smile gave Emma strength and calmed her.

"hello my little Emma. don't be afraid. come sit with me." she made her way out of the water onto the edge and Emma not frightened made her way to sit next to her. " you must have so many questions my dear." Emma stared at her in awe.

" who are you? am i...?" Emma started to realize she may not have made it through the battle.

" I am the moon Goddess little Emma and no you are very much alive. you are resting after using so much power." she looked lovingly at Emma. " you and your wolf are very rare you know. one of the most powerful beings I have ever created." the woman turned from Emma casting her glance across the expanse of water.

" why me? how could I ever deserve such a gift? am I even worthy of such a gift?" Emma looked at her confused.

a playful laugh escaped the moon Goddess lips. " you are pure of heart." she glanced back at Emma. " only someone with such a pure heart deserves such gifts. in time all the gifts will come to you." she just kept smiling sweetly and lovingly at Emma. " you are the last of your kind. but soon you and Colin will keep both of your lines going. he is a black wolf and you are a white wolf both of you equally rare. take care of each other and love each other because together you both will do amazing things for your pack and all of wolf kind. you two are the last of the royal lineage and therefore must go on. you will be queen and he will be king and no one deserves it more than the both of you." she raised up on her feet and began to descend into the water. she glanced back at Emma and spoke her last words. " stay pure in your heart and love him. there have never been two people more suited for each other than you both. Emma it's time to open your eyes." with her last words she was gone.
