                 ~°CHAPTER 6 ~°

**6 days later**

I woke with a feeling of sadness, I'm a little depressed about today because tomorrow we leaving earth to go to the other planet.

I sat in my tent zoning out into my thoughts. Why did this day had to come, It felt like only yesterday my birthday took place.

“Morning.” Cole greets while handing me a cup of black coffee.

“Hey. What time is it?”

“Uh- 6:12 Am.” he awnsered.

It's early, but here at the camp it's normal time.

“You okay?” He asks.

“Yeah I'm fine.”

“Okay, well I'm going to get ready for later, see ya.” he says then walks away.

I wonder how we are going to get into space though, like I haven't seen any spaceships or shuttle's yet so how am I wondering.

I look up and see Nicholas passing by, I called him quickly, I wanted to ask him something.

“Yeah?” he says.

I quickly stood up and went outside where he is standing.

“Do think this is a good Idea?” I ask him.

“What's a good idea?”

“Going on this mission.”

“For as long as I have known you, you're quite a risk taker, but no I don't think its a good idea but its not a bad one eitheir. We are just going to have to see,” he says then gives me a hug “Don't worry, it will be fine.” he adds.

We both walk to the fire where everyone is standing.

After a while my mom came to me to ask if I can come to the office.

“Good, are you ready? ” Doctor Zavier asks.

“Yeah. How long will it take?” I ask them.

“It rakes ten minutes to take the blood samples, and maybe 30 minutes or more to rest, dear.” my mom explains.

I sat in the chair while mom puts stuff on my arm. She then sticks the needle into my thickest vein.

“If this works, you don't have to go to space.” my moms says. She looks a little worried.

“Who are you going to test on?” I ask.

“Anna's sister.” she replies.

“Who's Anna?”

“My wife.” Doctor Zavier says.

There is silence, only the people's voices coming from outside.

“All done,” my mom says while taking out the needle and wiping of the blood “Here eat this, and then go rest for while.” she says and hands me a suger cube. Rather would prefer a chocolate but that sort off stuff doesn't exist anymore. We only have suger, coffee and a little coco bean tree.

** 2YA, before Lisa's death**

“Have you ever been inlove?” Lisa asked.

“No, not really.”

“When I was in a relationship, I felt loved but I was never inlove,” she says “Anyway...whats your type?” she asks

“Tall guys.” I awnsered.

“That all?” Lisa asked.

“Yeah. And maybe they have to be in the military field, but alot has changed. ”

“What about a doctor? ”

“Nah, maybe their sons, but yeah...no.”

“Well hopefully you find true love soon. ”

**Present **

I woke up feeling nauseous and dizzy. The dream I had is still bothering me, I can't remember if it actually happened or if it's just a thought.

I walk outside into the coldest breeze I've ever felt. I walk to the nearest table and sat down. A women walked towards me with a glass of water and handed it to me.

“Good to see that you're still alive.” she says.

“Yeah, me too.” I said.

Jean later came to me asking if we can talk.

He looks upset as if something is bothering him.

“Did you hear?” he asks.

“About?” I ask a little confused.

“Me and Diana broke up.”

“Okay, I'm sorry, but what does that have to do with me.”

“Nothing, I just wanted you to know.”

“Jean. I'm sorry, I really am, but nothing is going to change. I'm still going on this mission.” I tell him.

“I know. But there was still hope.” he says.

I didn't know what to do or what to say. Jean has always been there for me, before me and Cole. I feel bad for the way I treated him these last few months, but even though I feel like this, he deserves it some how.

“Emy!” Cole shouts while running towards me “Can we talk. I want to show you something that I think you'll love. ” he says.

He took my hand and led me to his tent.

“Why isn't your tent with your families? ” I ask him when we got there.

“I need my privacy sometimes, you know.” he says.

He took a small box out of his back pack that he usually takes on missions.

I took the box and opened it carefully.

Inside the box there is a type of small jewelry case.

“You can put your necklaces and some photos in it, it's small enough to fit in your pocket.” he says.

“Wow, this is amazing... Where did you get this?” I ask.

“When we were on that trip to the town. I found it an old antique shop that I was suppose to plant. I took it because I knew that you'll like it.” he says while holding my hand.

“This is...” I didn't want to say anything further, because I could feel my tears wanting to burst out “Thank you.” I said and gave him hug.

Hugging him makes me feel safe. His skinny muscular body tight with mine. He is really tall but I fit right under his chin, only a little shorter.

“Promise me you won't let go. ” I said in a soft tone.

He put his hand on my cheek, looking into my eyes.

“I promise that I'll be there for you, and nothing will hurt you.” he says.

I stared into his green eyes. I have this feeling to kiss him, but I know it'll ruin everything. But I know that I'll regret either way.

I placed my hands on his shoulders, and stood on my toes, I then tell him that he can stop me anytime. He didn't say anything, before I could do something, he leaned in to kiss me himself.

The feeling that I always wanted is happening right now, the feeling that nothing can hurt you and everything in the world feels so small. I never knew what a kiss was supposed to mean, but now I know.

His gentle lips on mine. He grabs my waist and pulls it closer to his. He's moving his hands around my back. And I'm just keeping my hands on his shoulders.

We both stopped when we heard footsteps coming from outside.

I took my hands off his shoulders and put it next to my hips. I never wanted that to stop, it's a shame it did.

He smirked and looked up.

“I always wanted to do that.” he says.

“I never actually really thought about it-”

I look behind me and see Jean standing there, Cole got mad and walked away.

“Why?” Jean asks.

I didn't awnser him ofcourse. I quickly ran out of the tent after Cole.

“Cole! Wait!” I shout.

“Can't believe we stopped because of him.”

“We stopped because of the footsteps. You know what will happen if someone catches us.” I tell him.

“Why? Because of the rules... Because of our parents? No one cares about the stupid rules anymore!”

“Why are you acting like this? ”

“I- I'm sorry,” he apologizes and sigh “I just want our last day on this planet to be special.” he explains.

“Emy!” my mom calls me.

“We have the rest of our lives to figure this out. We'll always be together, Cole. But for now, don't get angry because of this, it's not worth it.” I tell him, then I walked to my mom.

My mom puts her arms around my shoulders.

“They are making some food. Doctor Zavier is giving a speech as soon as his done injecting the serum into the person. We'll find out tomorrow if it works.” she tells me.

We went to sit on a peace of wood.

The poeple were talking about where they lived and their dreams before the first explosion and out break. It's sad to think about what our futures would've been like if this didn't happend.

“Where are you from originally Doctor Omèny? ” Doctor Zavier's wife Anne asked my mom.

“Australia. And my husband came from Canada. But we moved to Scotland while I was pregnant with Émony and that's where she's born. We later then moved to Dallas, and you Anne?”

“We... I came from Paris, but while I was on a tour to Japan, I met Zavier. ” she tells my mom.

“That's probably where Cole and Anika was born right?”

Anne laughed and tells my mom all the details about how Doctor Zavier and she fell inlove.

I asked a few people where they're from aswell.

“The United Kingdom. ” a women said. More people started telling me where they're from. Places like, Texas, Ireland, Tokyo, Mexico, North Carolina, New-york and so forth.

“South Africa. ” a women said.

“Wow that's really far from here. Do you speak Afrikaans? ” I ask her.

“No not really. I only grew up there so I only know a little of the language. Want me to translate something? ” she asks.

“Uh yeah, ” after a while of thinking I finally replied “Where are we going?”

“Waar na toe gaan ons.” she replies.

“Wow. How about...what's for dinner? ”

“Wat is vir ete.” she replies again.

I told her I find the language pretty interesting and that I like it.

It's actually amazing how people from different places can come together and be one.

After a while of chatting, Doctor Zavier came to the fire. He then clears his throat and begins with his speech.

“We are sending them off in a rocket from Russia. ” he starts.

I look at my side and see Cole and Jean walking together torwards us.

“Their organization is still intact so it's safe.

We are leaving tomorrow morning before the sun rises. But if Plan B works before tomorrow, we don't have to do this plan. ” He says further.

“Is that plan A.” a man asks.

“No that's plan C. Plan A was to plant explosives in cities but it does nothing to the w(i)nd's, we have to shoot them in their mouths like usual. And before you ask, Plan B is to find a cure. ” my mom tells him.

Everybody stood in silence not making a sound, the only noice is the wood burning and falling and the wind blowing that's making the tree's russel.

“Get some rest everyone. We have along day tomorrow. ” Doctor Zavier says.

Everybody started walking towards their tents. All sound you can hear now is the zippers closing.

I aswell headed to my tent after saying goodnight to my mother.

I still wonder why Cole and Jean was away for so long. Wonder what they talked about.

I turned to my side, pulling up the thin blankets.

I hear Cole's voice, Jean's aswell.

Cole asked me if he can come into my tent. Ofcourse I accepted.

He shivered while climbing under the blankets. He then held me tight.

I'm a little confused about how his moods can change, “What did you an Jean talk about?” I ask him.

“Nothing serious. He wanted to warn me about me being with you. So we talked about it and he finally came to his senses.” he says.

“Oh okay.” I said a little sarcastically.

His body is so warm, I can't even feel the cold anymore.

“Are you scared about tomorrow? ” I ask him.

“Kinda. And you?”

“No. Because I know you'll be there. ”

“Yeah. But we don't even know the planets name yet. What if something goes wrong. ” he says worriedly.

“Nothing will happen, you know why...the scientists and astronauts already sended a few stuff up there like a camera. They've found plants, tree's and even water. So we know there is air. ” I tell him.

“We are only four people going up there.” he says.

He sees that I've fallen asleep. I actually fake slept, because I didn't want him to leave.

“Good night.” he says and kisses me on my cheek.

He pulls me in tighter and finally after a moment he fell asleep too.
