Chapter 20: Information

Roman

Esmi took the letter and headed out to deliver it, I waited for her to tell me it was done, and right after, I got a call from Larkina. I was hoping to get the information I sought and then I would have to get rid of the problem, no one could find out Rowe was my son if the information was true. I saw her number answering it and I knew that I was not well-liked among the bears but I had to try, I said, "Don't hang up but I need to talk to you." She was silent at first before replying, "Sorry, you would need to talk to my future husband," I had to stop her from hanging up so I said, "This is about Rowe, his son." I knew I had her attention when she said, "Go on," I got straight to the point and said, "I got a strange email yesterday, who is Rowe's mother?" She said, "It's not me if you are asking," I already knew that after looking into her, she was raising my granddaughter with Barron.

I smiled, "No, of course, you are not the mother but I need to know, who is his mother?" She said, "I don't know but you should talk to Barron after all, it was his night of adventure that resulted in his son," and then she hung up. I could tell she was hiding something but not enough proof so I called my P.I. and told him about the unique job I had for him. I returned home and Lily was downtown with Issy, I went to my office linking Axel to join me so we could discuss what I found out on the little trip I took with Esmi. Axel became my best friend and we talked about everything, we were on the same page and he was loyal to the end. I asked him about my son and he told me, "They moved Toffe again to prison on the island," I said, "Good, I will visit him soon, I had a witch prepare a potion that will force his loyalty finally and he would be back in society as my Crown Prince."

I would rather put him on the throne than Kyan because something doesn't seem right about him, he is strong, very strong that sometimes I believe that he could Alpha Command me but I know that is impossible. He will not be easy to control when I step down but if I put my puppet Toffe on the throne, he would be easy to control and work in our favor. I would pair him with Issy for good measure to solidify his reign, despite what I promised, Lily. Those girls are my bargaining chip and I also have one of my ally's daughters set up for Kyan, I need to get him to take the deal. Axel told me about the progress of the building of the Valmores Skyscraper, I wasn't angry, I just wanted to get them to work for us, as far as we knew, they were strong and upcoming Alphas. Alpha Ares kept refusing to have a meeting with me and although he knew I was a King, he still turned me down.

It was not easy to get a meeting with him and a few years back his brother almost ripped my Beta's head off for turning up at his girlfriend's office to deliver a message. However, Alpha Ares was a different problem to deal with at another date, I went into detail with Axel about the issue I created with Rowe and he looked at the email sent about all the information on Rowe. Axel looked at me and said, "I told you assaulting Polly was a mistake, the bears are blocking our progress with the land that we need to connect the underground tunnels." I said, "I know, if I hadn't screwed over Barron, he would have partnered with us." Axel laughed and said, "If you think Barron would have partnered with us then, you are crazy, you do know Barron is a distant relative to Aidan's great-grandfather right? They are cousins although they are different species, Barron would have never partnered with us and then you forced him and Sophie apart, you should be lucky he hadn't caused a civil war."

I looked at Axel because he was right, I needed at least Dominic on my side, the only problem was, no one had seen him in years. I sent Axel on a mission to locate Rowe, we have word that he is here on business for his father and I smiled, he was closer to Frogger Forrest but close enough. He will be leaving here soon to go back to Bearmore for the upcoming birthday party for Barron and although I wasn't invited, I may need to crash it and force a meeting with the Elders if Rowe is my son. I headed upstairs as I got word that Lily was back and Issy was heading over to Kyan's house, it's like everyone has been avoiding me these past few months. Lily was putting her items away and I stood by the door watching her sexy ass in the sundress, I love summer and I walked over hugging her from behind and she said, "Hey, you finished work already?"

I said, "Yes, it's time to spend time with you," we both ended up in bed making out., I loved Lily more than anything, even more than my mate, and as long as I could have both in my life Troy was contented. Lily fell asleep after our passionate lovemaking, I got up when I got word that Levi was at the Palace door, I was shocked that not even two days home from my business trip, an Elf was here. I headed downstairs and he was already in the foyer, I smiled, I hadn't seen the Elf in ages, Levi said, "I have two of your men tied up in the truck, they were following me so I came to you to find out why you were having me followed." I looked at Prince Levi and said, "You are in my territory so I was just concerned for your safety after all, I wouldn't want your brother on my ass if anything happens to you." Levi smiled and said, "Don't you think I can't take care of myself, my lord?"

I smiled and said, "No offense, Levi, I was being cautious but since you are here, it would be great pleasure if your brother would revisit our broken treaty so we can remain strong in Ravena." Levi smiled and said, "Most treaties go through me or Jared if you can get him to sit for five minutes but I would look into it, now don't send your men after me again or I would see it as hostile and you don't want an angry Elf King on your hands, Roman," before he walked out and I watch him drive away. I hate that the elves are so not easy to get on a leash and I might have to find a way to take them out if they continue to piss me off.

Barron

After Lark filled me in on what happened yesterday, I was furious, I knew I should have killed that b***h Esmerelda for the stunt she pulled, she took most of what little knowledge of Bearmore over to Roman. I don't think she was the one who told him about Rowe, Rowe was ordered to return to Bearmore immediately and he reached back last night, I filled him in on what was going down. Polly shuts down because it brings up old traumas, and she is alone in her room until Levi returns to take her to Elvira, Levi told me about this brief visit to Roman and could sense his anxiety, he knows he f****d up and it is playing on his mind. I felt when Aidan entered the room, I turned to him and told him what we found out. Aidan loved the mind games we were playing on Roman, we wanted him to crack before taking him out.

Levi came down with Polly who had been crying and she ran towards Aidan hugging him, Aidan whispered something in her ear and she passed out. He carried her over to Levi and gave her to him saying, "She needs to rest, nothing will happen to Rowe," Levi walked through a portal Aidan had opened to get to Elvira immediately. Polly was worried about her son and we all felt it, Levi and Polly are engaged as Aidan promised to marry them as soon as he takes out Roman. Aidan left after talking to Rowe, he liked the kid and Rowe respected him, Rowe decided to check on my daughter, who was at my parent's house as Lark would be a busy day. My phone went off and it was Roman who wanted to meet me, I said, "You can't demand to meet me, Roman so spill it out," he said, "I want to know the truth, Barron, you are an honorable man."

I started laughing saying, "You are invited to my birthday party, we will talk then," before I hung up. Ty scared the s**t out of me just appearing from through the wall and I said, "You need to f*****g knock pale face." He growled because he hated the nickname I gave him since he was half vampire. He said, "I could use a snack so try me," then I saw Elijah behind him, I hadn't seen that pale face in forever, he smiled saying, "I was busy getting my c**k sucked," I laughed and asked, "Was it, Jasper, or Mary?" Elijah looked at me with cold red eyes and said, "Both," we all laughed. Elijah was a cool guy but was scary because he hardly smiled, he lost his father at a young age and his mother retired when he was old enough to take over Vampora. I filled them in and we had a plan to force Roman to admit what he did to Polly in front of everyone or deny it, where he would have no choice but to leave it alone.
