It was the summer and I was taking my daughter to the park and hopefully get some shopping in, her father's birthday was coming up and she wanted to get him a gift and she was excited. I had also planned a birthday party for him and invited some of his allies as long as we needed some fun time with everything happening around us. We had been having quite a few women turned up missing and sneak attacks by rogues now and then but nothing our warriors couldn't handle. Since rejecting, Clarke, there was no need for potions and he had moved in with his girlfriend. Barron had allowed her to be around the family to patch things up with his brother, however, he didn't trust her one bit and I believed he had his reasons. I turned to watch Sapphire run off to the play area with the kids and I sat on the bench watching her, she was so happy and bubbly.

My guards were not far behind, especially with the future heir to the throne running around. Barron had changed the law so his daughter could be Queen when he stepped down, he didn't want any issues because she was not from our union but her mother was a Princess anyway. Rowe is also heir to the throne in case anything happens to him or Sapphire, Barron made changes so his family could be on the same page as everyone else. The Elders did give him pushback because they believed in only male heirs to the throne but he got it changed anyway. "Hey baby, where are you?" I smiled and said, "At the park," and closed the link, I could feel Barron close by and his love for me, I also love him despite the lie I told about finding my mate. I wanted to tell Barron the truth but it makes no sense causing unnecessary drama when everything is so perfect between us.

He sat next to me leaning in for a kiss and I kissed him, I could see the other parents staring and smiling because their King was around. Sapphire turned around running toward him yelling "Daddy, come play with me." He picked her up and spun her around and she was laughing with pure joy, he kissed her cheek and said, "I'm on a lunch break, so we will play when I get home," she asked, "Can I eat with you, Daddy?" He looked at me and said, "Come let us go and eat." I got up and held my daughter's hand as we walked back to the car and he drove us to the restaurant for lunch. We were at lunch and Sapphire was having fun just having us sit together as a family, Barron's phone was going off but he focused on us. He just told me he would check his messages later and if it was that important, they could link him or his Beta, I kissed him for being so thoughtful when our daughter said, "Eww, gross," we all laughed.

After lunch, Barron left us to go back to work and we headed into the mall to get his gift and for me to get a dress for his formal birthday party. The mall had a lot of people and my guards blended in well, Barron was not playing about our safety. I ran into Davina, Rowe's girlfriend, she was a beautiful woman but most, if not all elves were beautiful. Rowe didn't care about the intermixing law, he hadn't marked her or planned to, they were having fun and he wished Roman would oppose him but everyone knew Roman was not coming into Bearmore anytime soon. They all hate him here, and after what happened to Polly, anyone whether warrior or not would gladly avenge Polly, the People's Princess. Davina seemed to be shopping for a dress and I saw a ring on her finger, I wasn't going to pry but that looked like Rowe needed to talk to his parents and I smiled. I was looking at a shirt for Barron when I saw Esmerelda, Barron's former secretary walking over to me, she said, "Larkina, how nice to see you?"

I saw Draven get closer to me, he was my bodyguard as Moore went to Sapphire, it didn't seem like anyone trusted Esmerelda. I asked, "What do you want, Emi? I am not going to talk to Barron about getting your job back, I am just a stay-at-home mom," she said, "Oh no, my lady, I just want to give you this," handing me an envelope, I was skeptical to take it but I did, she turned and walked out. I opened it and it was a number, I called it and it was King Roman on the other line, he said, "Don't hang up but I need to talk to you." I said, "Sorry, you would need to talk to my future husband," he said, "This is about Rowe, his son," I said, "Go on," he said, "I got a strange email yesterday, who is Rowe's mother?" I said, "It's not me if you are asking," he smiled, "No, of course, you are not the mother but I need to know, who is his mother?" I said, "I don't know but you should talk to Barron, after all, it was his night of adventure that resulted in his son," and I hung up. I had promised to tell Barron and Rowe about my conversation with Roman later when I got home, I hope that he doesn't know about Polly.

I had Esmerelda bent over the edge of the bed as I pounded into her, she was my true mate, I found her when she was working for Barron as his secretary. I used her to get inside the building because of the fated bond and it got her fired, I didn't care because now, she works for me right under my wife's nose. No one knows that she is my mate but Seth and he promised to keep my secret as I also knew about his mistress. Esmerelda was loyal to me and didn't care that I wouldn't leave Lily, I paid for everything to keep her satisfied, and she knew I cared for her. I even missed how close I was with the Fae Twins and Emile, Elijah never really liked me, and Dominic was always scary but I respected him, I screwed over Barron in a big way and I know he would never forgive me for it. I smile because I loved them once, I hated killing them but it was a necessary sacrifice to get what I wanted and build the empire I have today. The others alive still haven't forgiven me and if they could kill me without starting a civil war, they would, however, the throne I was on outranked all of them. Something about this particular throne had the Kingdoms respecting it, I was on the throne that if I would become a Supreme which I am trying to find a way to do, they would all bow down to me. I read about the Supremes but that throne was vacant for more than ten thousand years, there was a prophecy about them returning but I don't believe in fairy tales.

Esmerelda went into the bathroom and I read the email from my informant, he claimed that Rowe was Polly's son, not Barron's. I was shocked because she wasn't married or mated, she was betrothed to Levi, that's why I made the intermixing of species law in hopes that it would stop the treaty but Emile still went through with it to stick it to me. I wished that I could kill that f*****g Elf but rumor has it, he was not easy to kill, some even believe that he was immortal. In Ravena there is no such thing as immortality, even the vampires could be killed, it was just a myth if not I would have found a way to be immortal. I continued to look at the email and then when I got to the end, he stated that the bears hid the identity of Rowe's father and the father was me. I dropped my phone shocked thinking how could this be and then it hit me, that it would have happened when I had taken her all those years ago.

I need to confirm this information, I needed to talk to someone close to Barron, everyone stated Prince Rowe's mother was unknown. Barron had a one-night stand that resulted in Rowe and no one ever questioned it, if this gets out the intermixing law would be challenged. I was brainstorming, I didn't realize Esmi was back until she hugged me again as I looked out the balcony of my penthouse suite. I couldn't let Lily find out about this because my marriage was already rocky with her after what I did to Sophie, it pained me to do it but I owed Alpha Septh and it was the deal I made. I love my kids and it pains me that my daughter hates me because of this, but I couldn't let her be with Barron. I had to keep Polly's assault quiet, I assaulted a Princess, someone of status, and that would not sit well with everyone in Ravena.

We couldn't afford another civil war or rebellion, I needed to keep everyone in line and fear was the best way. I did regret it, I had known her a long time, and I just wanted to scare her so she would get Emile and her brother to work with me. When I saw that she was going to marry Levi as part of their treaty, I snapped and then after that, it was just torture, hoping she would get her two brothers onboard. However, that backfired quickly until it came to me and I sent Esmi to take a letter to Lady Larkina, Barron's betrothed, and see if I could get the information out of her.
