Blaze was feeling like a caged animal. He paced the floor. He was waiting to hear from Helen.
He was livid at Carlos Leo Nuevo. He was supposed to keep her safe. He should have known better.
Blaze cleaned his gun. He needed to keep busy. It was dark outside. He gritted his teeth then slammed his gun down. He wouldn't wait for Helen. Sera might be dead by then. He made plans to rescue her.
He changed his clothes and dressed in all black. He put on a cap covering his hair. He snuck out of the tent and made his way slowly to the white house where his wife was being kept.
Blaze waited until the guard at the door was distracted, as soon the guard lowered his head to light a cigarette, Blaze snuck up behind him and wrapped his arm around the guard's neck, choking him out.
Blaze held his his thick arm there like a vice around the man's neck and wouldn't let go. The man struggled as he kicked his legs and tried to grab for his gun to no avail. Blaze was very strong.
Once the man passed out, Blaze pulled the man behind a bush. He took his key card and entered the building.
Leo was brought into the compound by Dorinda. She had him climb into a laundry cart and wheeled him in past the guard. The guards knew Dorinda well, they never checked her. The guard just nodded and turned to scan the woods around them.
Helen was waiting inside for her.
" Hey, what do you got in the laundry basket there? Looks heavy." Helen said, startling Dorinda.
Leo peeked out. "Just me. Nothing to see here, move along Helen we are on a mission."
Leo wanted to get Sera out of there before Blaze had found out that he had screwed up.
Helen helped Dorinda push the cart into the ally behind the house. Leo was wearing green fatigues, he fit in as just another one of the guards very well.
" You're in big trouble Leo." Helen chimed in. He glared at her.
" Manuelo won't come after me, I'm not afraid of him."
Helen bit her finger nail and smiled. " Hmm. I wasn't talking about Manuelo. Blaze knows his wife has been kidnapped and is being used by Manuelo as a walkie-talkie to speak with the dead."
Leo turned white. " How the hell does he know that?" He barked.
Dorinda shushed him then. He looked frantic. " How did he find this out?" he whispered.
Helen shrugged. "He has a connection to his wife. He felt her."
Dorinda saw a guard coming their way. She said," We must act now. Enough chitter chatter."
Leo tucked back into the basket. Helen and Dorinda pushed him into the house through the back entrance. Dorinda used her key card to open the door.
Leo jumped out of the laundry basket. Helen walked ahead to scan for trouble. Dorinda entered the room to where Sera was being kept. She untied her from the bed. She was angry. They didn't need to tie her up, She wasn't going anywhere.
Dorinda motioned for Leo to pick up Sera. He lifted her into his arm. He kissed her forhead. " Ah we got you now." His back was to the man that had covertly entered the room. He didn't even feel the knife slide up to his throat.
He held very still.
Helen grabbed the man and forced the knife to the floor. She put him in a choke hold. He used his hand to block her from getting a full grip on his neck. She whispered," Not like this, we are getting her out. Leo is trying to rescue her. Blaze calm down." He relaxed then and nodded. When she released him he jerked forward and went after Leo again with his knife. Helen kicked his foot and he landed on the floor.
Leo placed Sera into the laundry basket. Dorinda quickly moved her near the back door.
Leo slowly backed away from the seething Blaze, raising his hands up in front of him. " I got her back. I came for her. I will get her safe. Trust me."
Blaze lurched up from the floor to go for him again as Helen stepped on Blaze's back holding him there.
" Enough, you will get us all killed!" She said.
Blaze nodded then coming to his senses. He stood up and went to Sera. He reached down and picked her up, holding her to his chest.
" I'm here love. You are safe." She didn't respond. " What the hell did he do to her?"
Blaze worried, he gently kissed her eyes, her face, her lips. She blinked and began to stir. He saw her open her eyes.
"Are you real?" She asked as she looked up at her husband.
" Yes love. I will return to you soon, go with Dorinda and Leo. I promise I will be with you again soon." He kissed her again and gave Leo a scathing look.
They rushed off with Sera hidden in the cart. Leo followed Dorinda as if he was her guard escorting her home.
He was sweating That was close. He knew that Blaze had meant to slice his throat. If he hadn't been holding Sera, he would be dead now.
Leo jumped into the jeep and started it up. He slowly drove off toward the gravel road. Dornida and Sera were in the back, hidden under some linen. Sera was still very weak.
" Dorinda, what happened? What did he do to me? Did he...?
She wanted to ask him she had been forced by Manuelo.
" No Sera, he didn't. He was too afraid of you. He had his doctor drug you. It nearly killed you. We got you out just in time.
Manuelo was bringing in a new doctor, one that would gain control of your mind. He is a monster.
I have seen him work with other people before. He leaves them Iike vegetables after he extracts the information he is seeking."
Blaze went back to the tent with Helen. He was relieved that Sera was out of Manuelo's reach.
Helen was concerned with Blaze. He was a very dangerous man. He had no fear, except when it came to his wife.
She looked like a little thing. A sleeping angel. She was all lightness and beauty. Her blond hair and looks made Helen think of an angel. Hmm. She would ponder how it would feel to have a man, this man look at her like that. He was more than just in love with her. He was possessed by her.
Sera and Dorinda were clinging to eachother as Leo bumped along. "How much farther?" cried Dorinda.
Leo yelled back," Not far. I'm not taking you back to the same villa you were before Sera, we are going to another location. A safe house."
Leo had decided that he would take them to his family. He trusted his brother completely.
He was the only one he could trust right now. Well he trusted all of his 9 siblings, but Charlie was like a twin to him. They were 13 months apart. Charlie was the older brother. He also has 8 sisters.
His mother and father had raised them all to put family first. The family motto was to respect the family, respect the danger.
He pulled into the back of Charlie's home. It was unassuming, however Charlie had seen Leo driving up to his house on the many security cameras he had placed along the only marked road coming onto his property.
He waited in the trees. When Leo pulled up and got out, he jumped out and grabbed Leo from behind and tackled him to the ground. Leo didn't fight.
" Nice to see you brother." Charlie affectionately slapped his brothers clean shaven face.
Leo grinned. "Brought you gifts."
Charlie ran to the Jeep. He saw Dorinda sitting up in the back seat. He smiled and took her hand. "Let me help you my child." He pulled her up. He didn't notice Sera laying there as well. Leo came up then and pulled Sera up from the heap of linen she was hidden in. She flopped into his arm.
"Leo, I can't walk." She whispered. He nodded. He held her to himself as he lifted her over his shoulder and carried her limp body inside.
Charlie frowned seeing her then. "Two beautiful woman? Is this one alive?"
He moved her long flowing hair away from her face and peeked at her eyes. She smiled up at him. He felt a warm glow seeing her smile. She was quite beautiful when she looked into your eyes and smiled like that. He pulled her off of his little brother's shoulder. He gently placed her on his bed.
Sera thanked him then went back to sleep. She was safe. She slept deeply.
Blaze was yearning to be with his wife again. He would take this whole compound down, then return to his lover, so he told him self.
Manuelo went in to check on his little song bird. He didn't see her in the bed that he had tied her to.
He thought maybe she was in with the other women. He didn't see her there either. He ran to his guard. The man was found dead, lying in the bushes. He had a knife wound across his gut, he was eviscerated.
Someone was inside his house, his compound. He told his guards to bring the new guy to him. He had a few questions to ask Blaze.
Helen had gone back to the house and quickly dispatched the guard that Blaze had choked out. She hated loose ends.
She also wanted to make it apparent that Sera had been taken by his rival, Oscar Chaves.
She made sure that it looked like one of Oscar's men had done the job. The way that she had killed that guard was how Oscar's men operated. Slit their guts open.
