"Aurora.' he dropped his stuff and began taking off his black suit. "What is it and why are you up by this time? Are you alright?' he asked with concern.
"Don't act as if you don't know why I am up by this time of the day.' I snapped as I bit my lower lip from yelling at him.
"You broke your promise, Lake. I heard you are getting married. I thought you said you weren't interested in getting a Luna anymore. Why are you getting married and…"
He came over to me and held my shoulders with a calm demeanour.
"Aurora, I'm sorry but I have to get married." As soon as he uttered those words, my heart shattered.
"Without me?" I whispered with my eyes welling up but I didn't want it to drip down my eyes.
I didn't want him to see me cry when I'm not a baby anymore.
I'm tired of trying to act cool at this moment but this is so painful. Is he abandoning me?
"This is my responsibility, Aurora."
"I don't give a damn about any responsibility. You failed your promise and that's all that matters. You don't want me anymore just say it.'
"I'm getting married doesn't mean you are not important to me anymore. Stop thinking about such things. We are still going to be as we were before and go on vacations and all, no one is stopping that from you. If that is what you are worried about, don't think about it. Nothing is changing, we are going to be the same. Stop trying to figure out something which doesn't exist.'
"But I still don't want you to get married.'
"Aurora, it's my responsibility, listen to me.'
"I don't give a damn about any responsibility. You can get married as long you f*****g like, I don't give a damn anymore." I yelled at him and kicked the vase in front of me as it shattered into pieces.
"Aurora.' he called in a furious tone.
"But just know one thing, I'm not accepting your wife or the new Luna of this pack and she will never be a mother to me because I don't need one.' I ran off to my room as I ignored his callings.
"AURORA.'
I slammed the door to his face as he almost caught my hand when he came after me.
One week later, Lake got married despite my warnings as I cried so bitterly that night and shut the door to my room all day.
Despite the multiple calls I got, I didn't attend his wedding at all and he doesn't deserve it.
Humph!
The next day I got up with a grumbling stomach knowing I haven't eaten for the past two days.
I walked down the staircase holding my stomach in my white shorts with a black crop top with my n*****s perking out.
I was so tired as I strolled to the fridge to fetch what I was going to eat since Mrs Jane, our cook, wasn't around and had gone on a vacation for two weeks.
"Who are you?" I got startled when I heard a sweet voice behind me and I knew for sure that it wasn't Mrs. Jane.
I shifted to the direction of the voice and saw a lovely lady in her sexy black lingerie and her stunning black hair and her bright black eyes were stunning.
She was curvy and her aura was a bit calm but nothing like her personality.
She looked so much like those hip hop bad bitches with the attitude she was portraying.
"I should be asking you the same thing.' I uttered with annoyance.
Who the freaking hell is she? Why does her eyes annoy me so much?
"Oh! Oh, you are Lake's adopted daughter.'

Was that how he described me to this b***h? Or did she say that on purpose to get on my nerves?
I know this is our first meeting but Alphas who are especially females tend to have a nasty personality especially when they are married to an Alpha from a high status.
Their attitude pisses me off to death that I wish I could strangle them with my claws.
She must be Lake's new wife. So he finally got married.
I rolled my eyes and walked past her with a scoff.
I better order some food instead of staring at her stupid face and listening to her voice.
Seeing her in the kitchen is making me lose my appetite.
"Hi, Aurora. I hope I didn't offend you.' she quickly uttered as I stopped at my tracks.
"I know this is the first time I'm meeting you but can we be…"
"I don't want to be friends with a b***h who is ruining our home. I don't want you to be my mother so don't act like one. Leave me alone and stay away from me."
I ran off and went inside my room.
I got up as early as possible to avoid Lake and his new stupid wife.
Took my bath, dressed up and ran out of my home as I rushed to school.
I didn't want to see anyone right now.
I got to school with my driver dropping me off.
No one tagged along with me as I sat down on my seat without seeing anyone.
"Come on, what's the matter?' Quinn came to me and sat down beside me as soon as she entered the classroom. "I came to your home and Lake told me you've gone to school. Why are you in such a bad mood?'
"Lake got married.' I blurted out and looked over at her as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Is that such a bad thing? You should be happy.'
"Happy? He brought some stranger into our home and I should be happy?'
"Aurora, what's wrong with that? Can you explain to me why you are so pissed at your uncle for bringing in a new Luna. Is she being rude to you or something because I don't understand why you are so against it."
"That's because you don't know anything at all, but yourself.'
"What's that supposed to mean Aurora? See, I don't want to fight with you because you seem so angry right now. Calm down your nerves and tell me the reason you refused to attend his wedding. I tried calling you but you refused to pick up my calls and listen to me. Why are you so mad that he is getting married? You should be happy, I mean, be the happiest Beta in the world.
