"Aurora, calm down.'
“She is taking over my home and Lake away from me and you think it makes me happy? No, it doesn’t make me joyful. The clan is forcing him to get married, and he did. The headlines and social media are buzzing with their marriage and wedding all over the internet. It pisses me off. What do you expect me to do? Be happy.’
“He’s a grown up man. An Alpha. Of course, he needs a woman. This is 2024, Aurora. He needs a companion, Luna, and a wife. Imagine how lonely he is going to be in bed for all these years he’s been taking care of you. I’m sorry to say this, but they are times he would want to have s*x with a woman. “Are you trying to tell me he is getting married because he is lonely?”
“I’m trying to make it make sense. I’m not saying he’s getting married because he is lonely. What I’m trying to say is, he’s an Alpha and you are only his niece, not his Luna. Come on, stop acting a spoiled brat. You’ve been like this.’
“I am thinking of him.’ I reacted with a frown.
“But that’s not the way to think of him.’
“Why is no one thinking about my feelings?’ I slammed the table and everyone in the classroom looked at me with raised brows and a frown.
I got sort of embarrassed and walked out of the classroom with Quinn running after me.
I was getting frustrated with all these conversations and rumours.
“Wait up, Aurora.’
I stopped without looking back at her as I clenched my fist.
“I’m your best friend. I’ve known you for years and I understand how you feel. You don’t want anyone to take away the love and attention Lake has been giving you and you are afraid he’s not cherishing you anymore, but this isn’t true. You know how Lake loves you till death. He can’t see someone else and forget about you. He’s still going to care for you and love you for who you are. Lake isn’t like that sort of alpha, you know.’
“You understand nothing, Quinn.’
“Then, make me understand.’ she got closer to me.
“For the first time in my life, Lake broke his promise and got married without my approval. And you want me to believe he is still going to love me no matter what? After what he just did to me by bringing in another woman. Lake is f*****g going to change and I’m seeing it already.’
“You are taking things too far.’
“I’m not taking anything too far.” I argued and walked out on her. “You will never understand how it feels. He's changing, Quinn.’ I murmured and strolled along the hallway.
I could hear her sighing behind me.
I got home after school closed and went upstairs, avoiding anywhere, but my room when I noticed the door to Lake was a little cracked with claws all over it.
What happened here?
I walked closer to it with my curiosity getting the best of me.
What I saw before me baffled me.
Lake was completely naked. He sat down on the bed with his legs wide open.
“Ahhh…fuck.’ he stroked his crotch, going faster and faster. “Damn.’ he groaned out loud with his head lolled as he spilled his sperm on his white fluffy rug.
He panted and collapsed on the bed with his eyes closed.

Suddenly, my phone began buzzing in my pocket.
I quietly ran away from the door and dashed upstairs to see who was calling me.
It was Quinn.
I rolled my eyes and switched off my phone.
I didn’t want to talk to her now. I wasn’t in the mood for any conversations right now.
My thoughts were on what I just saw and I wondered why he was jerking off when he was married.
Isn’t his wife satisfying him enough?

I scoffed and lay down on my bed. The words of Alpha Killian kept interrupting my thoughts, and he was right.
Lake seemed lonely and needed a companion, like Quinn said, but he never cared about all that from the beginning.
Why now? Or was it the reason I didn’t know him well enough?
Could he have been hiding his feelings away from me?
Someone opened the door. I stood up from the bed to see who it was.
Lake.
“Am I interrupting something?”
Instead of answering him, I scoffed and folded my arms across my chest and rolled my eyes.
He seemed fresh, smelled good and was all dressed up as if he hadn’t just jerked off a moment ago.
Has he forgotten what he has done to me? Why pretend not to know what he has done?
He came inside and closed the door behind me and gave a long sigh.
“I know you are really mad at me and I don’t blame you for it.’
“Don’t blame me for anything because I don’t give a damn.’ I snapped. “If you like, blame the world for what you’ve done. I don’t care.’
“Can you calm down and listen to me, Aurora?”
“I’m not listening to you because you never listen to me. You broke your promise and got married. Celebrate your wedding and go ahead with the court papers and the clan. I was left in my room for two days and you didn’t bother to visit me because whatever decisions you take in your life aren’t my concern.’
“Aurora, the way you are taking things is not the way it is supposed to be.’
