Letter 5
Hi Bianca,
Well, we just passed Wednesday, Day 12. It’s been eight days since I wrote that last letter. I don’t understand the nature of the upcoming crisis any better, but the urgency has been impressed on me very clearly.
I woke up the next morning, Day 5, sweating profusely. I don’t know whether my thinking about the matter the night before put it in the forefront of my brain, or whether the Voices decided to start shouting more intensely, but suddenly my mind was filled with swirling images like you see in movies about submarines. “Dive, dive, dive” coming out of imaginary speakers in my head. And very definite instructions that I should be doing something about it. If only I knew what.
