Chapter 8-Rory and Max's Support

"I'm sorry about Max". He looks at me with deep sadness in his eyes and I just want to cuddle him, wait what?!
"Max"? I ask
*"Me. I'm Rory's wolf"*. Max chimes in again, but a lot more calmer now.
"Oh, urm... Hi Max". I said nervously. I see a smirk from Rory or Max, whichever one was in control.
I hear a slight "cute" from his lips but I pretend that I don't hear anything.
The moon catches my eye and all I can think of is Jericho. Did she know I was pregnant?
"So are you going to tell me the truth about what the nurse said"? Rory asks me again but I tighten up all over. Will he hurt me if I tell him that his best friend raped me?
"Can I ask you this, Rory"? I began asking him. I needed to know if he could be trusted or not.
"Would you hate me if I told you I was pregnant"?
This makes Rory turn around with sadness, but a look of already saying I know who the baby's father is.
"I had a feeling that's what it was about and no, I'm not angry at you, Nyx".
I looked back at him shocked, tears welling up in my eyes again as soon as I saw his own tears.
"How did you know I was pregnant"? I asked, not hiding this anymore from him. I knew Max would come to the surface if I lied again.
"Jericho told me in a dream but she was in your form".
Jericho, the Moon Goddess, told Rory. She just keeps getting more and more interesting, doesn't she?
"Did she tell you who raped me"? I asked with a trembling voice. I could already see Max returning for the third time and I could tell straight away he knew.
*"Yeah, I know who. My supposed to be my friend and your mate, Cade"!
"What"!
A voice came booming from behind us causing me to nearly pee myself, but Rory or Max came in to defend me. When I got a better look at the outline, I could see it was Chase. He knew now about the pregnancy and the man who got me pregnant.
"Keep your voice down, Chase". Chase looks over to the person who has spoken, Rory. Max had been taken over again by Rory.
"Cade, got my little sister pregnant. Out of rape"! I thought my eardrums were about to erupt with my brothers shouting. Fortunately, they didn't burst. Rory was still holding me in a protective way which made me feel safe, a little too safe that I soon snuggled into the back of him.
Rory's POV
As soon as Nyx snuggled into the back of me, I felt somewhat relaxed. She wasn't my mate at all, but I felt at ease when I was touching her. Chase, on the other hand, was pissing me off with his constant shouting. Couldn't he see that Nyx hates loud noises? Hang on, why do I act like her mate?
"Chase, you need to keep your voice down otherwise your family and the pack will eavesdrop. Heck they may even be doing that right now". I said to Chase, which makes him think. He's talking to his wolf, Sebastian.
"Are you going to hurt her and call her a liar for saying that your best friend was the one who raped her"? This broke both mine and Max's heart, but I hated seeing Nyx in pain. I shook my head and I could see that both Chase and Sebastian were calming down.
"I want to protect her from him and everyone else who has hurt her. But if you think I'm going to let Cade get away with this just because he WAS my friend, you're dead wrong".
Chase and I come to an agreement that we will both support and protect Nyx from everyone, including you, Cade.
After that agreement, I pick Nyx up bridal styles and place her in her bed. I can't help but imagine us kissing and before I knew it, Max had taken control over me and had placed his lips upon hers, well really my lips, but who cares about that? I was kissing the girl that I've loved all my life, but she was placed with Cade and not me. Why Goddess? Why did you put her with him and not me?
"You'll have your chance with her, my boy".
A woman's voice came behind me and I looked all over for it until I spotted her in the mirror. The Moon Goddess had come to me again but she was in the mirror.
