Chapter 2- MATE!

When I wake up, I realise that I'm in the nurses' office in a not-so comfortable bed. The scent hits my nostrils again and I turn my head to the right and see, Cade!
*Mate* I say in my head or unless it was my wolf Laika. I sit up from lying down and can only eye him whilst he's asleep in the chair beside my bed. I can't help but reach my hand out to get his strawberry blonde fringe out of his closed, innocent eyes.
"What are you doing, Mate"? Asks Cade when he awakens, the corner of his lips making dimples in his cheek while he grins at me seductively.
I leap back, almost falling off of the bed, but instead of hitting the hard, cold floor, I'm met with tingles in my back.
*MATE* Now I know that's not me, Laika has been awoken by our mates' touch.
"Mate", I say without thinking, which makes Cade's eyes turn obsidian with lust. As I try to apologise for being clumsy, my lips are glued shut with his lips, he rubs his long tender fingers down my spine, making me moan with pleasure, which gives Cade access for his tongue to enter, fighting for dominance with my own.
"Sorry, I shouldn't be doing this to you, you've only just woken up". Cade looks at me apologetically, but I wanted more of his lips and tongue, I even wanted him to mark me as his own.
"But...". But before I could say anything, the nurse enters the room and asks Cade to leave.
"How are you feeling, Nyx"? she asks with a concerned look on her face.
"Still dizzy but I feel fine". I say being honest, as lying only gets you hurt. Before I leave the room, the nurse tells me not to overwork myself as it can cause me to collapse again. I nod and close the door after myself.
Half way into the end of the day, I saw Cade and another girl. I hate seeing other girls with him. I have always had a crush on Cade when I was younger, when my brother, Chase, first introduced us and my parents. Over time, Cade became distant with me due to my ranking, but I had always tried to basically be the clown of the pack until I saw him kissing his ex-girlfriend, Nadine.
I rushed out of sight of Cade and the others before I got an earful for eavesdropping and being nosey. The bell had rung signaling that the day had ended but I was stopped at the gates before I could exit. My mum had come to pick both me and my brother up.
"Hey sweetie. How was school"? she asks with a hint of annoyance in her voice. What got her angry?
"It was great, thank you mum". I said to her but she cut me off.
"Don't cut in, Nyx. I was asking Chase"! my mother yelled at me angrily. I had no idea Chase was behind me as well as his girlfriend and Cade.
Why did my mum change from nice to mean? I'm sure the twins had made her angry, right?
"Anyways, I'm here to take you all shopping, including you Nyx". This surprised me as we normally went out to get clothes if there was a party.
After getting to the shopping centre I found out why we were going out shopping. Ruby, Chase's girlfriend, has the same birth-month as me. Am I really being treated like this now by my mum? The Moon Goddess had always answered my wishes that my mum would always love and cherish me no matter what. Why Goddess, why?
Mum had picked out a black, sparkly dress for me and black open ankle high heels, whilst Chase got Ruby a long red dress that had a slit going down the side showing one of her long, perfect legs off. She looked like a model, unlike me, who looked like an apparently fat clown.
Cade and Chase had bought themselves suits that matched their taste.
After purchasing the clothes, we had a small amount of food. Well I did whilst my mum, Chase, Cade and RUBY ate their fill. Why am I so jealous and different from them?
