~ Mateo POV ~

I don’t believe this. A mere fly like her dared to stop me.

Since when did the humans become so courageous?

Aren’t they aware that they can’t fight our kind even in their dreams?

“Tsk, you should have known about the consequences when you dared to attack me, woman. 

Even your blood is not up to my taste. Such a waste”, I asserted to the trembling woman who was now shrieking on the ground.

Thanks to her I don’t have an appetite now.

I should have gifted her to my people, but the pain which is quite evident on her face is quite satisfying.

“Who sent you here, huh?

I can’t believe that your so-called king is such a  scaredy-cat that he sent a weak and timid girl like you to finish the prince of Vampires.

I am sure that he must have thought that you will be able to seduce me, but alas! Such a thing could never happen and that too with the likes of you.

Next time, tell your king to send someone up to my taste and preferences.

Oh, but I forgot that you will never get such a chance as this is going to be your last day, love”, I said to her in a cold voice whilst I traced down my finger on her timid body.

While I was finishing off the woman, I suddenly smelled a pleasant fragrance.

What is this?

Why am I suddenly getting excited over such a thing?

I again took a long breath and this time, I didn’t only smell the sweet fragrance, but I also heard some noise from the bushes.

Should I ask the little kitty to come out and show her face to me?

I hope that her blood tastes better than this woman.

“Come out, will you? I don’t think that you will be able to hide from me for too long.

Look, I am in no mood to play hide and seek to come out while I am asking you nicely”, I yelled in a loud voice whilst I get up from the ground.

I kept my left foot on the woman’s body, but instead of begging me, she started to laugh for so reason.

“You will die for sure, vampire prince.

You don’t know that we also have an allegiance with the werewolves. One of your greatest enemies.

Don’t forget that they can compete with you in terms of strength.

You are going to die.

Hahaha, just wait and ah...”, before the annoying woman could complete her words, I turned her into dust by placing my hand over her face.

Equal in terms of strength?

Huh, don’t make me laugh?

Those dogs can be anything, but strong.

“We will see about that thing”, I removed the dust from my clothes and then I looked towards the bushes and a smile appeared on my face.

So, the kitty wants to play.

No problem, I will play with her and after that, I will hunt her down.

While I was heading towards that place, I heard a voice coming from the opposite direction.

“So, which useless pack is here to face me, huh?

I hope that you can try to entertain me while you are at it, alright?”, I snarled while I looked towards the direction from where the noises were coming.

After few minutes, a pack of werewolves in their shifted forms came all together in front of me.

I then smirked at them whilst they all started to dash in my direction.

 I am alone here and none of my people is here with me and that too because of that useless woman who thought that she succeeded in seducing me.

What wishful thinking they all have, don’t they?

I only growled at them whilst showing them my fangs.

They did the same with me.

Then suddenly one of the werewolves jumped at me, but before he could attack me, I embraced him tightly and after that, I applied more force and he started to whimper in pain.

I am sure that some of his limps might have broken and that’s why he is squeaking.

I warned them to not challenge me, didn’t I?

Thereupon, I threw the werewolf who attacked me first on the ground and after that, they all started to gather around me.

Why can’t they all just give up?

They sure like to impose more work on me.

If they didn’t interfere in the first place then all I have to take care of was for that good for nothing king of the Thera Kingdom.

Now, I have to even face these idiotic dogs.

Once again one of them dashed in my direction to attack me, but I am too fast and that is one of the reason that they are far behind us in terms of powers and strength.

“Is this all you got, huh dog?

You should have prepared yourselves before facing me.

You people are so scared of us that you need the help of the whole pack to take care of a single vampire.

I had great expectations from you, but you all seriously disappointed me.

Killing you all is such an easy task for me”, I asserted to all of them in a cold voice whilst they all glared at me.

I am surrounded by the whole pack of wolves.

I should take care of them as fast as I can otherwise, my little kitty will run away before quenching my thirst.

While I was singlehandedly taking care of the wolves suddenly one of them attacked me from behind and I fell on the ground while placing my hand behind my back.

“What a useless attack.

Don’t you know that this kind of wounds won’t be fatal for me?

They will heal on their own.

Next time try to use your brain while attacking me, alright?”, I told them in an annoyed tone whilst I got up from the floor.

They all have started to piss me now.

The moment, I thought to handle them for once and all, they all started to run back after hearing someone’s howl.

What was that and why did they suddenly decide to run away?

This is just not making any sense.

Why did they suddenly decide to attack me out of the blue?

Oh, I forgot about that little kitty.

I think she will be enough to make my mood better by offering me some of her blood, right?

While I was thinking such things, I decided to head towards the place where she was hiding, but when I reached that place there was no one, but when I searched here and there, I saw that she has left some bandages and medicines on the ground.

Did she think that those werewolves were enough to handle me?

I can’t believe that woman thought that I won’t be able to fight those dogs.

Seriously, this is getting under my skin now.

How dare that woman compare me with those lowly creatures?

I then tightly clenched the medicines and bandages in a tight grip while my eyes were filled with rage and anger.

That woman dared to look down on me.

I will make sure that she has to pay me for this humiliation.

Even death won’t be enough for that good for anything woman.

I mean, she dared to mock me in this manner.

How could I let her go this easily?

While I was thinking about taking care of her suddenly I heard someone’s footsteps and when I turned to look around, I saw Edith who came forward while he was bowing his head towards me.

“We are ready to attack those useless bastards, your highness.

We all are waiting for your command”, Edith asserted to me in a low voice whilst the other was standing behind him.

They all are waiting just for my command and I don’t think that I have anything left to take care of anymore.

So, let’s just go and greet that useless king Stephan, shall we?

A smirk appeared on my face while I was thinking about how I will take care of that cowardly bastard.

I told them to follow me and we all were now dashing towards the Palace with full speed.

In just a few seconds we were inside the Palace of the Thera Kingdom.

They all were shaking in fear just by the sight of us.

“Call that useless king of yours.

Tell him that the Vampire Prince’s is here to meet him.

Oh, or should I say to give that bastard a painful death?

Well, I won’t mind snapping that neck of your king.

Tell him that I am waiting for him in the hall and if he dared to make me wait more than one second then I will kill you all in less than a minute.

Do you understand what I am saying right now?”, I asked the guy who was looking like one of the attendants of that bastard king.

He only gulped down hard and after that, he ran towards someplace.

The whole Palace turned upside down and I asked one of the people to guide me towards the hall and he silently agreed to what I said.

I like it when people don’t make any fuss.

While I was heading towards the hall everyone who passed me only looked towards me with eyes filled with terror.

Humans get scared too easily.

It is funny to look at them when they start to beg for their lives.

After walking for a while we finally reached the hall.

I then headed straight for the throne while the other pathetic humans were just only looking at me.

I then sat on the throne while everyone only bowed their head while looking towards the floor.

I was only tapping on the arm of the throne whilst I kept one leg over the other with a smirk on my face.

I am now getting bored.

Should I just spill some blood to keep myself entertained?

Well, it’s not like they are going to live after this day.

I should just start with his useless subjects.

I only snapped my finger and Edith came forward.

“What is your command, your highness.

I will do as you say”, he said in a calm voice whilst he lightly bowed at me with a smile on his face.

The moment I thought to order Edith, the useless King barged into the hall while he was huffing loudly.

His body was covered with sweat and his eyes were fixed on me.

“I am sorry, your highness, but I think you are misunderstanding something.

There is a peace-loving Kingdom.

We will never think to betray you”, he asserted to me with a scared look in his eyes and after that, he immediately looked towards my feet.

“A misunderstanding you say.

Do you have any proof to state that you are not guilty of the crime?

Nah, I don’t think so.

Now tell me how exactly do you want to die?

Do you want to die without feeling any pain or do you want to die painfully?

Well, I have chosen the latter option for you”, I told him in a cold voice while he only glanced here and there.

He is such a coward. How can he call himself a king when he is that scared for his life.

I don’t think that he even cares about his people.

I am sure that he will just abandon his people just to save his neck.

“I think there is a way through which we can build trust between humankind and the vampire kind”, he suggested.

“Oh, and what exactly is that great plan of yours”, I asked him in cold voice whist I looked at him with a dead look in my eyes.

He tried his best to tell me his plan, but every time, he ends up saying nothing.

Is he wasting my precious time?

After gathering his courage, he finally told what was going inside his head, “I  am willing to offer my daughter as your bride.

This will work as a truce between our kinds. Please consider this suggestion, your highness.”

He wants me to take his daughter as my bride?

I don’t think that I have heard something hilarious like this for such a long time. 

I then started to laugh loudly at his words while everyone looked at me with a confused look on their faces.
