6 - And the time stopped

I didn’t want to believe my eyes, ears nor nose. I didn’t want to believe he came again and was there to terrorize us with his slyness and viciousness. “I can see that your two kids are doing quite well…” His long nail stroked the tablet’s screen from behind Gabriel’s back. Dantalion I quite enjoyed this situation. I knew that these two were desperate from what had happened to their offspring. But I was more interested in fulfilling the goal I had set my mind to quite a while ago. Generations of humans ago, in their age. I wanted to meet Solomon again. I had to talk to him. I needed to see him at least once more to know what had happened. I needed that to take my revenge on him. To make sure his soul would be forever damned, even if it was supposed to be only a part of it! I had to make sure that if Solomon were to come back as a human, he wouldn’t ever be complete! Just like me without his presence here. He first drew a contract with me and others and then decided to let others go, while I was to serve even after his death! “Looks like they are arguing…” I said, a smile playing on my lips. “None of your business!” Ariadne snatched the tablet away from me and her wolf man. “You don’t want to save them?” I slowly let the words out of my mouth, looking at her. I didn’t need to really do anything, I didn’t need to move a finger in this situation. I wasn’t bound by a contract to anybody, so I could do whatever the f**k I wanted! Ah, such a sweet time! I don’t have to obey anyone’s words! I grinned from ear to ear. I enjoyed watching people suffer in their decisions.  Ariadne stood frozen in her spot. She was completely motionless. Gabriel as well. Did I come here at the wrong time? I should have come sooner! They were having a fight! I should have watched it! For hell’s sake! I missed out on such an interesting thing! I pressed my lips together. This was truly upsetting. Zia “Any ideas coming to your head? Or maybe your wolf appearing out of nowhere?” I tried asking Ansel. His scowl was enough of an answer for me. I could hear footsteps approaching. “What now?” I hissed at Ansel, who only shrugged. He had no idea how to get out, nor did I. We were just trapped here without any way to escape. At least we would see the ones that were holding us captives if they decided to come to the room we were held in. “What do you think of the girl?! Quite a pretty one, isn’t she? I bet she would make a really nice slut! Let’s see what she says!” I froze. They were talking about me! Ansel’s eyes were bubbling with rage. I could tell he hated how they were talking as well. The door opened. Two guys dressed in black pants and T-shirts entered the room. One of the two went to Ansel. He squatted down and took his chin in his hand, making Ansel look straight at him. “Let him go!” I shouted at the other guy. “Oh, quite brave, aren’t you? Girls like you make the best f***s!” The other guy grinned and came closer to me. I didn’t see what was happening to Ansel, but I only heard a painful grunt from him. “Leave him be! Don’t you dare do anything to him!” I was yelling at them, fear bubbling up in me. The only thing I knew about myself was that I couldn’t fight. I couldn’t help my brother! “Well, don’t worry, he’ll get his fair share… Now, about you. I believe we can get something into you. Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy it.” The guy close to me turned my head to him while smiling. I shut my mouth and tried kicking my tied legs against him but he only looked at them as they didn’t hit him at all. There was no way they would be able to hit him like this. “Get your hands off me!” I growled through my gritted teeth. “Hey, leave him! Let’s get some water, she won’t take the pill willingly… I’ve dealt with a few girls like her. You need to stuff it in water and feed them bit by bit. Only then do they get the whole dose!” He got up and took the other guy out. I looked at Ansel. He had a blue eye and his cheek looked purple-red. “Are you ok?” Tears were welling up in my eyes, seeing my brother like that. “I’m fine, you should care about yourself. This will heal up. They want to f*****g rape you!” I froze. My brother was shouting at me the words I thought were just a game those two guys were playing. Only now my brain sunk into the situation. “We have to get out…” I mumbled under my shaky breath. I couldn’t keep my composure. I was tied up, I couldn’t just run away. The door was shut and locked and we basically had only a few minutes until they would come again. Ansel groaned as he tried getting up. He then jumped to me like a little sparrow and fell down next to me. “Shhh… You’ll be fine. I’ll make sure to beat them up.” He whispered to me, sticking close to me, his shoulder squeezing into mine. I closed my eyes and hung my head. Tears were pouring down from my eyes. I’m going to get… I didn’t even want to say the word in my head, let alone out loud. Me, who had never had a boyfriend in my life! I was going to be drugged and… and… “You have to mix it properly! Give it to me!” My head sprung up as I heard the voice of one of the guys, who were here a while ago. “Ansel!” I looked at him with fear consuming me from within. His eyes looked the same, just that all his fear was coming from his worries about me. The door slowly opened but something shut them tight from inside. I jolted my head to see what was going on. But there was nobody, the door was closed and the guys outside kept arguing that they couldn’t open it. “What was it?” I turned back to Ansel, but he wasn’t moving. He wasn’t even breathing. He looked like a statue, just sitting next to me, not even blinking. “Ansel?” I tried talking to him but he didn’t move, either. “ANSEL!” I yelled at him, hoping I was only imagining things. That he was fine, that nothing had happened to him! I tried nudging him with my body, but it didn’t do anything. It was as if I was only air! “Oh, this always gets me going…” I turned to see the source of that voice. “What have you done to my brother?!” I yelled at the guy there. I didn’t see his face. “Oh, nothing much, don’t worry. Once we are done talking, he’ll be fine as well. Those two guys in front of this door, too… Now, now. How have you been, my dear Zia?” I didn’t recognize this man. I had no idea who he was, how he got here or what he wanted from me! “No need to be so wary of me. You used to like spending time with me when you were younger!” The man came closer, taking off his hat and finally showing me his face. “I’ve seen you somewhere…” The words escaped my mouth. “Yes, yes, you’re right… How are your legs doing? I hope they are working well as ever!” “Uncl-... No, you’re not my uncle. Dantalion?!” I couldn’t believe he was here! After so many years! Did he come to get me?! Now?! But why would he come to get me! And what about Ansel?! What should I do? What does he want from me? Fear was spreading all over me, making me shake. “Shhh… No need to be worried. I’m here simply to help. That is, if you want of course…” He smiled, talking to me in a soft voice, the same as I remembered. I swallowed. I was slowly getting dizzy and my eyesight was getting worse. Did I already get drugged? I was gasping for air. “Calm down, dear! We still have about a minute to go until you pass out from the time slip! Now, answer me this… Do you want me to save you and your brother from here? Do you want to be saved from these guys?” I could only vaguely hear what he was saying. I nodded. I had to get us out. “Good. I only need a few strands of your hair and a few drops of your blood, preferably.” I looked at him as he took out a brown scroll, which he unrolled in front of me. Somehow, he had already managed to take a few strands of my hair without pulling it out or using scissors. “Now, as for the blood… Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you too much, it will only be like cutting your finger with a knife while cooking!” I was trying to breathe well, but it was getting harder and harder. It felt like I could lose consciousness any second.
