The Lycan Prince’s Love

As she drove down the strange back road that her map was taking her down she let out an elongated sigh. She felt weary of the place she was, with trees surrounding her at every angle. She was nervous, more nervous than she had been in a while. Her father called her suddenly asking her to come see him at his new home. She hadn’t seen him in years, too afraid to even think about it. He never seemed to love any of his children, he left his wife, our mother years ago and never came back, didn’t even check in for a visit or call us. Her heart sank as she thought about the past. Her mother had just passed away a few months ago, and suddenly her father wanted back in her life. The tears slowly escaped her eyes and fell down her cheeks as she thought about her mother. Suddenly she looked up noticing something large lying in the road. She slammed her breaks hard, as her car came to a complete stop. Her long dark brown hair was tossed back in a braid and thick curly ringlets fell down on the sides of her face. Her greenish brown eyes opened wide as she stepped out of the car and walked to the animal lying in the road. Her heart pounded in her chest. It was a wolf, she had never seen one before. She walked around to its face and noticed it move slightly. She was about to go get into her car when she noticed another wolf bolting towards her from the woods. A loud scream left her lips and the wolf bit down on her arm as she threw it up to protect herself. She tugged back with all her might and the sharp teeth in her skin tugged out with a sickening sound as they tore her flesh away. She screamed in pain and began running as fast as she could towards the address her father told her to go to. The wolf that bit her along with two others hot on her trail. “Help!” Willow screamed as she ran as fast as she could. “Please! Help me!” She kept pleading hoping someone would hear her. Just then one of the wolves lunged and sunk their teeth into the back of her leg causing her to fall. She reached around and found a stick, she turned to face the wolf that tacked her quickly jamming the stick in its mouth all the way to the back keeping it from clamping it’s jaws shut. She heard rustling from the brush behind her before seeing more wolves step out. There was a loud growling sound and the sound of wolves fighting as she began to lose consciousness. Her blood soaking through her long sleeve turtle neck and ripped jeans. Her once white turtleneck was now stained a sickening red color, and her eyes couldn’t stay open even for another second. *BEEP BEEP BEEP* She awoke slowly hearing an annoying beeping sound. She kept trying to reach for her alarm clock but couldn’t find it anywhere. Her bed was so uncomfortable and she felt something stinging and pulling in her arm. “Miss, miss please calm down! You need more rest!” Someone said through the darkness. “Whose there?” She asked not understanding what was going on. “Miss, my name is Doctor Julius. When you came to us you had lost a lot of blood. I was surprised you were still alive. Why are you here, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before.” She sat up slowly rubbing her eyes and finally opening them. Before her she saw a handsome man with blonde shaggy hair, and deep brown eyes. He was so tall, and so built, she would’ve never thought he was a doctor. “My father asked me to meet with him and gave me an address close to here. I’m not really sure where I am, he was supposed to be waiting for me.” Just then the doctors cell phone rang from his pocket, he quickly pulled it out and answered it. “Hello? Yes.. we found a young woman in the woods she was brought here to seek medical attention. She had lost a lot of blood. Her father? Of course.” He said before hanging up the phone and putting it back in his pocket, “So, you’re William’s daughter?” He asked before pulling out a chart. “Yes, I’m Willow Pierce.” She said before her father came busting through the door. “Willow! I was so worried! What happened?” He asked checking over her to see her injuries. “I’m not really sure, I was driving along then suddenly I was attacked by wolves.” She said, they both stiffened at her words. She could see that they were both looking to each other then back at her as if they were having a silent conversation. “Well, what a strange turn of events. How is she doc?” Her father asked apparently trying to move past the awkward conversation. “She’ll be sore for a little while, but I’m not sure how long it will take her to heal.” The doctor said before looking at her, then quickly back at William. “William, could I talk to you for a moment outside?” He asked and began walking to the door. She laid her head back and rested for a while, without meaning to she fell asleep and was out like a light almost forgetting the strange events that lead her here, almost. {William’s POV} I followed Julius out into the hallway waiting for him to speak, but he didn’t, instead he lead me to his office, and closed the door behind us. “This room is soundproof. I need to know William, did you know?” Julius asked looking me dead in the eye. I fumbled through my thoughts for a moment, know what? “What are you talking about Julius? Know what? I knew my daughter was coming to visit, I put in a request with his majesty himself.” I said not sure what he was talking about. “No! William! Did you know, that your daughter is an alpha female?” He asked stunning me to my core. “There has to be a mistake, her mother was a human!” I plainly stated. “Maybe you read the tests wrong!” “There is no way to read those tests wrong!” He blatantly spat out before tossing a stack of papers on the desk. “Look William, your daughter is an alpha, this is the alpha gene!” He all but screamed at me pointing to the top paper. “And this,” he continued. “This, is a suppressant for the wolf gene. This is so strong in her system that she must take it every day!” He said making my head snap up to meet his. “You mean to tell me, that my daughter is an alpha and someone has given her a drug to suppress her wolf?” I growled out. “My daughter has been sick for years, she’s been to hundreds of doctors most of them telling her it’s anxiety and depression! She’s on anxiety medicine, would that cause this?” I asked, curious on how this could have happened. “Let’s go back in and ask her about it.” He said turning and walking out of his office and back to Willow’s room. “Willow?” He asked as we walked back in seeing Willow had fallen asleep. Her lips were pale, and around them blue. What was happening? “WILLOW? I NEED SOME NURSES IN HERE STAT!” Just as he said that I heard it, the most terrifying noise I’ve ever heard in my life. My baby girl flatlining. A nurse pushed me out of the room as I was in too much shock to understand what was happening. After a few hours a nurse came out to get me. “She’s stable, we found a bottle of pills in her purse, and it seems like she had taken one right before she flatlined, the doctor is running tests on the pills as we speak.” She said, my mind trying to reach the room before my body could. As we walked in I saw her, her skin was too pale, and her eyes had dark circles as if she hadn’t slept for days. “What happened to her?” I asked the nurse. “We’re not really sure, the doctor thinks that she was doing fine until she took the pill, that pill for some reason set her back. He’s still trying to find out why.” She said walking about of the room, leaving me with my ‘Alpha’ daughter that I abandoned and my thoughts. {Willow’s POV} *BEEP BEEP BEEP* “There it is, that annoying beeping again, I wish I could silence it, my head is killing me!” I thought to myself. “Willow?” A small voice I almost recognized said softly. “Doctor Julius she’s waking up!” The voice screamed. “Dad?” I said softly my eyes beginning to open to look around the small white room I was in. “Dad, what happened?” I asked sitting up a little too fast making me dizzy. I grabbed my head and stabilized myself on the bed. “You had a set back.” He spoke calmly, at least that’s what the doctor said. “He’s running tests now to see what’s wrong.” “Okay, can you hand me my water from my bag?” I asked sitting up all the way making sure to go slowly this time. “Yeah, of course!” He said reaching into my purse and handing me my water. As he pulled it out my birth control fell out on the floor. “Honey, what’s this?” He asked handing me the water then picking up the pills. “Oh! Those are my birth control pills, don’t worry I’m not having s*x or anything. My hormones are just out of whack, mom took me to a special doctor for them.” I said reaching out to grab them. “s**t!” He yelled getting up and running out of the room with my birth control pills in his hand. I laid my head back and went back to sleep, too tired to care. {William’s POV} “Julius!” I yelled bursting into his office. I was expecting him to be sitting here alone, what I wasn’t expecting was the Lycan Kings Beta sitting here along with him. “Damn it, I was hoping I had more time.” I thought to myself. Beta Jackson was someone I didn’t want to find out, my mate, Willow’s mother, was his first love. Once we found we were mates she left him to be with me. He always hated me for it, and Willow is the spitting image of her mother, who knows how he would react! Once Maria had Willow, things changed, she didn’t want me around anymore, told me my aftershave stunk, and she hated the way my hair laid, everything was a fight. One day she just told me to leave, that she didn’t love me anymore. So I did, and I left my children behind with her thinking I made the best decision for them. Willow was still little, I didn’t even think she’d remember, and her and her siblings never showed any signs of being a wolf. “William.” He said snidely. “I hear we have a new visitor, and that she’s special.” I snapped my head to him then decided it was best to ignore him all together. “Julius, I think you were checking the wrong pill!” I said handing him the birth control pills. “I was about to tell you William, the other medicine came back as anti anxiety and depression medication. What is this?” He said taking the pills from my hand. “It’s her birth control pills, apparently her mother had her taking them to control a sudden outpouring of hormones!” I said looking everywhere but at Jackson. “Don’t they smell funny to you?” I said. Julius lifted them to his nose and took a short sniff, his eyes widened. “It’s so strong I can smell it! Who would give this to their daughter?” He said slamming them down on the desk. “Nurse!” He called through a speaker on his desk. A few moments later a short blonde nurse walks in. “Yes doctor?” She asks not daring to look around the room. “Take these and have them tested immediately, I already know the answer but we have to have proof!” He snarled throwing the package of pills towards her. She catches them, just barely, then turns on her heel running out the door. We sat in awkward silence for about an hour when she walks back in with a short stack of papers. “Sir, this is what we found.” She said softly handing the papers to Julius then walking out. His eyes scanned over the papers. “This is bad.” He mutters under his breath, “Who would give this crap to their own child, this could be a lethal dose for a wolf!” He stated slamming the paper down on the desk. No wonder the wolves that bit her died with this s**t flowing through her system. She has to stop taking these immediately so that way we can assess how extensive the damage to her wolf is.” Jackson cleared his throat. “The Alpha sent me here to question the girl about what happened. I’m going to go do so, then I will be out of your hair Doctor.” He said getting up and walking out of the room. As he quickly roamed down the hallway I felt I needed to stop him or warn him. I ran out after him. “Wait Jackson, before you go in there!” I began as his hand twisted her doorknob and his eyes finally rested on her. “Dammit!” I thought to myself as I quickly raced to the room. “So, she’s Marie’s child.” He stated coldly. “Yes.” I said softly. “I was trying to warn you, I know she looks almost identical to Marie, I just didn’t want you to see her and get upset.” I said looking down. He was on his knees in the floor by her door. I’ve never seen him look so pitiful, the great Beta of the King’s inner circle, reduced to a puddle because of my daughter who is the spitting image of his first love. “I have to ask her questions, it was the kings orders.” He said standing to his feet and walking over to her. “Girl!” He all but yelled. “It’s Willow.” I said harshly. “She won’t respond well to being called girl.” “Willow.” He said in a softer voice. “Wake up I need to ask you some questions.”
