DAMON’S POV
The other day when I waited for Audrey at the hotel to tease and taunt her more, but surprisingly, she didn’t show up at the hotel, I was forced to ask the superiors if she got fired, but their answers were negative, and it has been a month since I’ve seen her. I’d been to the club and the restaurant, but she didn’t show up. What happened to her? Did she leave the city?
“Boss, I’ve gotten information for you.” Cj said and I frowned. I don’t want to do any job for anyone now.
“I’m not interested.” I waved him off, but he insisted.
“Boss, it's about Audrey.” My heart beats suddenly stopped when he mentioned Audrey’s name.
“Shoot.”
“She lost her mother and that’s the reason she hasn’t been to work since…”. What? Her mother is dead, and I'm just getting this information.
“Why am I just hearing this?” I asked, taking a drag from my cigarette.
“B…boss, the guards you assigned thought it wasn’t useful.” I scoffed. “Wasn’t useful.”
“You know what, put those guards in the cell for two weeks without water or food and replace them quickly.”
“Yes boss.” He walked out, and I groaned.
She must be really heartbroken, I know how it feels when you lose a loved one, and I’ve never felt so peaceful in a long time because I deprive pleasure from killing people, but ever since I met her the urge to kill isn’t there anymore.
“Bobby.” I called my chauffeur. “Boss.”
“Get the car ready, we are going to Audrey’s house and tell Cj to come along.”
“Yes boss.”
*Audrey I’m going to be there for you* I thought throughout the ride and as the car stopped, I got down from the car and stared at the building in front of me. It was small, it looked like my pet's house, no it even smaller than my pet's house.
I was putting a hoodie on to hide my identity from those f*****g paparazzi. I walked in without Cj and the guards, but they were close by. I pressed the doorbell and waited for a few seconds before the door opened and the Audrey who opened the door was an extremely diverse Audrey hothead, the only thing I could recognize was her black shiny hair which had also lost its color.
“What do you want?” She asked rudely like a grumpy old lady.
I coughed lightly before answering, “I’m Elias and I came as soon as I heard the news, I’m deeply sorry about your mum.” I introduced myself with a different name and with a different voice. She looked at me before opening the door wide for me to enter.
“Come in.” I entered the living room, which was comfy.
“Please have a seat.” I sat down, and she did the same, sitting in the chair next to me.
“So how are you doing?” I asked with a sweaty palm. Furthermore, I don't understand why am nervous, Jeez I’ve never been nervous.
“I… I’m fine, I guess.”
“You guess.” I threw back without thinking, I wasn’t here as Damon but Elias and she looked at me weirdly. “Sorry, erm Audrey.” I’m so busted.
“How do you know my name?” She suddenly asked. I would rather not hide anymore, so I pulled the hoodie cap off.
“You.” She yelled.
“Yes, me.” I smiled.
“What do you want?” She asked rudely, guess the polite Audrey is gone.
“I came to see you.” I replied honestly, and she frowned.
“See me, why?”
“Because you lost someone important to you.”
“But we barely know each other, and besides, we are not friends.” She rolled her eyes and I smiled. Oh, Audrey!! What are you doing to me? For the past one month, I haven’t seen you. I’ve killed twelve men and now that I’ve seen you, I don’t feel like killing anyone, and you are making me smile.
“Do you want us to be friends?” I asked with a smirk.
“In your dreams, Mr.” She huffed.
“So, how are you coping.”
“I’m doing fine, and thanks for your heavenly concern.” she said sarcastically.
“Good to hear. Who are you staying with?” blurted the question out before I could stop myself.
“No one. I stay alone and sometimes Cherry and Daniel do keep me company, wait why am I telling you all this?” I took note of the name Daniel.
“Because you want to, and who is Daniel, if I may ask?” I’m concerned about this Daniel because he’s a boy.
“He’s my boyfriend.” Bang, that’s what my heart and head felt. She has a boyfriend, and I wasn’t informed, Oh good I’m so going to kill those useless guards.
“You have a boyfriend.” I asked, and she gave me a *aren’t I old enough to have one* look.
“Why, am I not allowed to have one?”
“Y…you are allowed.” I cleared my throat to ease the stuffiness In it. “I mean, you are allowed to have as many boyfriends as you want.”
“Okay Mr, you’ve overstayed your welcome, you can leave now.” Wait, is she chasing me, out.
“Are you driving me out of your small house.” I teased, and she flared up.
“It’s small, I know, so leave.” she stood up.
“Audrey I came to sympathize with you and also give you a proposal but since you are driving me out, please accept my condolences.” I also stood up, but she paused.
“What proposal are you talking about?” I smirked.
“Come work for me as my masseur.”
“Get out.” She yelled and I frowned. I thought she was interested.
“Fine, I’m leaving but think about it because I know you will come back to me. Bye Audrey.” I pecked her forehead then wear my hoodie cap and walked out. I met the guy from the restaurant the other day, and maybe he’s the Daniel. f*****g scumbag getting close to my Audrey. * Audrey, you will definitely come back to me, I will make sure of that* I looked at the house for the last one before walking away.
