Chapter nine

AUDREY’S POV

Imagine the ego of that man, he came to my house, and he called it small. I paced up and down and the door open again, and I wanted to shout at him to leave, but paused when I saw it’s Daniel.

“Hey babe.” he walked in and placed a kiss on my lips while I smiled.

“Hey dan.” he looked at me.

“I just saw a man walking out, who was it?” he asked.

“Oh! That was Elias, and he came to pay a condolence visit.” I lied, and he frowned.

“He said he was a good friend of mum’s.” I lied and he believed me. Daniel and I are actually dating, not because I love him but because because *because of what Audrey* I don’t know why I’m dating him when I don’t love him, but he claims to love me, so I decided to give him a chance maybe as we are getting to know each other, I can like him.

“Back to earth Audrey.” he snapped his fingers at my face.

THREE WEEKS LATER

“A massage parlor. It has always been my dream to open one, and since nobody wants to employ me, why don’t I open one and be a boss.” I said with a wink, and he laughed.

“Okay then, do you have any shop in mind.” he asked, and I gasped, that’s true why didn’t I think of that.

“No I don’t, but I’ll look for one tomorrow.”

“No need for that, I saw one empty shop downtown, and it’s very spacious.”

“Oh, Dan, what will I do without you?” I said sincerely,

“Nothing.” He laughed and kissed me.

AUDREY’S POV

I stood at the front of my shop and smiled, *AUDREY’S SPA * was written boldly on the billboard. I walked inside and was wowed, Dan did a great work getting all that was required in a short time, he also employed some other masseurs and a receptionist.

“Good morning ma’am.” The receptionist greeted with a friendly smile.

“Morning, how are you?”

“I’m fine, ma.” I stared at her name tag.

“You are Joyce, right.” I asked.

“Yes, ma’am.” I nodded my head before walking to my mini office. I dropped my bag on the table still smiling widely, wow *Audrey, this is your dream and dan has made it a reality* my subconscious mind gushes. Oh Dan you are an angel.

The day came to an end, and we only had a few customers, but I wasn’t discouraged. I mean, we just opened. “Yeah.” After eating, I stood up as Daniel’s eyes followed me up. Okay, why is he staring at me like a meal? Hmm, whatever. I dropped the cup and plate on the kitchen sink and washed them before returning to the living room.
