Chapter nine

628 Words
Two Weeks Later...   I wandered through the house, Looking for Geran. We had become quite close recently, and I was actually meant to meet him for my follow up Examination, But he was nowhere to be seen. I checked all over the house and couldn't find him anywhere. As I was heading towards the back gardens, I saw Sterling and smiled. He smiled back and hurried over to me. 'How are you feeling?' He asked, Touching my arm gently, Luckily, it didn't hurt as much anymore. 'Its ok, thanks. Have you seen Geran?' 'I think he actually went back to his room, Its-' 'I know where it is thanks'. I smiled politely at him and excused myself. As I wandered out into the fresh air and down the familiar road to find my friend, I thought back...     I hurried up the stairs. Oh No! What if he told Alexander where I was... Maybe Alex already knew I was here, and just simply didn't care. Crap. It wasn't until I got to the room and tried to get my breathing in control that I realised exactly what just happened. I had embarrassed Christopher and his family in front of all there guests. I froze. Oh no! 'What the f**k was that about?!' I span around, excepting to see Christopher, but instead, Sterling stood there. I instantly relaxed a little and walked over to the bed to sit down. 'I saw someone I knew'. 'Kane Tavish?' I nodded. 'Yeah, I told Chris not to invite him, but he thought it would be funny'. 'Wait... WHAT?! Christopher invited him?!' 'Yeah'. 'Son of a-' 'Sterling, Get out'. I was cut off when he came walking into the room, rolling his sleeves up and threw his jacket on the table. 'Chris, Leave her alone, You knew something like this would happen'. I'm sorry, Is she yours? No, Didn't think so, Get out'. He gave me an apologetic look, I just gave him a smile back in response. I knew there was nothing he could do.   As soon as Sterling was gone, That's when it started. I was thrown against the wall, Beaten... Raped.. kicked around and thrown back into my room... I suffered a broken arm, black eye, cracked ribs... Many, many other problems. The next morning, Chris took me to Geran's room and told him to make all better again. He did his best.   As I approached Geran's room, Which was basically a small shed, I could hear talking. I wasn't trying to listen, but by the volume of the raised voices, you could pretty much hear everything. '.. We're just friends'. 'I'm not saying otherwise, I'm just saying be careful and keep your distance'. I couldn't make out who the other voice was, It sounded a little familiar, but I couldn't place it. 'So, I'm not allowed to have friend's now. I have to keep to myself and be lonely here!?' 'Geran, I'm not saying that-' 'Please leave'.   There was a little more mumbling, but then I could hear approaching footsteps. I didn't want them to think I was listening in to their conversation, So I knocked quickly, In hopes that they thought I had just arrived, But when the door opened, I was more than surprised to see Christopher's father stood there. I instantly lowered my head and my eyes shot to the ground. He said nothing as he walked past. Seeing me stood there, Geran told me to enter. I headed inside and closed the door behind me. 'What was he doing here?' I asked curiously. 'What do you want Rose?' He completely ignored my question, Sensing he didn't wanna talk, I let it go and sat down on his bed. 'My check-up?' 'Oh yes, How is it feeling?'
