Chapter 4: Wolf

*Derek*

               The weeks felt like they were moving slower than usual, but today was finally the day, Ciara and I would get our wolves and tomorrow I would be named Alpha of Bloodmoon pack. I couldn’t wait for the celebration to start, there was a high possibility that my mate would be here, and I would finally get to meet her.

               I opened my eyes to get ready and immediately noticed the difference, I could see everything so much better. Everything was brighter, more detailed than before “hello, are you there?” I asked in my head hoping that I would be able to reach my wolf “yes” a deep voice answered back “I could have told you that! ever since he showed up last night he hasn’t shut up about finding our mate!” my shadow said angrily making me laugh.

               I hadn’t talked to him in a while as he liked to keep to himself, but hearing his voice, even if he was annoyed was always nice “she’s near, I can feel her” my wolf said again making me smile “that’s great, I can’t wait to find her, I’m Derek” I introduced myself “it’s nice to meet your good side Derek, my name is Eliezer, now could you please find our sister, I would really love to go for a run.”

               I got ready and headed straight for Ciara’s room, I didn’t even knock I just opened the door and walked right in. She was still sleeping, so I decided to jump on her to wake her up, I know it was childish, but she would sometimes do it to me. I got in a running position, I took my first step “Jump on her and I’ll beat you up” I heard Ciara’s shadow say making me trip and fall hard on the floor “what the f**k Ciara!” I yelled making her laugh at me “you know she does the same thing to me all the time, why would you stop me?” “Because she is me and I am her, so jumping on her would be like jumping on me too” “whatever, my wolf wants to go for a run.”

               At the mention of my wolf Ciara got up from bed “oh my gosh! We got our wolves!” she screams excitedly “What’s your wolf’s name? mine is Elise and she’s wonderful already, she really wants to go for a run” “slow down damn, why are you so hyper? But his name is Eliezer and he’s ready to go for a run too” “well then what are we waiting for, let’s go!”

               Ciara took ahold of my hand and pulled me outside, as she was running down the stairs she suddenly teleported us outside making me puke as soon as we made it out “what the f**k Ciara! Give me a warning next time you do that; you know your teleportation skills always make me puke afterward” I said angrily to her. she knew how to teleport herself without any problems but for some reason she just couldn’t figure out how to teleport other people without making them puke afterwards.

               “Sorry, I’m just so eager to shift for the first time” she said while rubbing the back of her head “we should go deeper into the forest before we start shifting” I said out loud, but before I could take a step a deep pain ran through my whole body making me break out in a scream “Derek!” Ciara ran to me worriedly. Just as she was about to reach me she also screamed and dropped to her knees and hands panting.

               “Ciara!” I leaned down to check on her but was hit again with the same pain making me scream again. The pain was getting harder to bare “the transformation has started” Eliezer said in my head “we needed to be out in the forest to be able to shift, just relax and let me take control.” Relaxing was easier said than done, the pain was so bad that I didn’t have control of my body, I wanted to relax and let him take over, but I was having a hard time doing it.

               I closed my eyes just as another wave of pain hit me, I could hear my bones cracking and feel them rearranging, and right next to me Ciara was going through the same thing, she was screaming in agony her pain seemed so much worse than mine. I took a deep breath to try and relax, and just like that the pain was gone. When I opened my eyes I was laying on the ground, I looked over at Ciara and saw that she had shifted into Elise.

               She was a beautiful white wolf with black eyes, her wolf seemed to be bigger than my parents wolves and I wondered what Eliezer looked like. When I looked down at my hands there were no longer hands but instead they were paws. They were jet black in color, and I wondered if the rest of my fur was the same “holy s**t! Derek you’re completely black your wolf, it’s amazing.” Ciara said through the mind link that we finally received with having our wolves.

               “Your wolf looks amazing as well, you are completely white” I said back to her “I want to see, lets run to the lake” I let Eliezer take over for the run, he was so excited to be out and about he was taking complete advantage . He ran so fast it almost felt like I was flying, but instead of seeing everything in a blur like I usually do when I use my powers to fly, I could see everything clearly, it was such an amazing feeling.
