One more truth

Rain's pov My feet followed him outside and interrupted his fast steps towards the terrace…appeared to be his favorite place in the whole school. “Thank you so much!” My breathing was heavy, it was hard to match his steps. “But why did you save me?” I questioned. His palm touched the back of his neck and he slightly tilted his head. “How about you do my assignments?” He broke the silence from his lips. “Huh? What?” My brows furrowed. “There's so much to write and I'm definitely not in the mood.” Felix Da Vinci voted for me because he wanted a personal slave…to do his fu*king school work!! My mouth didn't know how to answer that, but since it was him who saved me, I had to pay him back at all costs. His feet moved closer and closed the distance between us to inches, my eyes were lost in his light brown lenses and it felt like time stopped for me. Shouldn't he be banned from the clan for being so goddamn gorgeous? His fingers flicked before my eyes and pulled me back to my senses. What is wrong with you, Rain? You should be focused on your one true mission, instead of admiring his looks. “Where are you lost?” His brow twitched. “Uh…Nothing!” “Okay, I'll do your assignments.” “Meet me tonight at my dorm - 456” He nodded his head once and disappeared from my sight. To be honest, the whole Vinci family is a bunch of as*holes!! “Rain” Nadine rushed to me and hugged me tightly with immense excitement. She didn't participate in the voting, but her cheers were on my side. “Isn't that great?” Her eyes perked up. “Let's go and talk in my room.” My lips mumbled as everyone was staring at us with disgusting eyes. No one was happy to see me in the school, they were all against me!! As we stepped inside my room, she excitedly jumped onto my bed and rolled herself in a blanket. “Are you that happy?” “Of course, you're my only friend.” She answered, making a heart symbol with her fingers. “By the way…” “You got two votes!” “Two?” It was shocking. “Who else voted for me?” “No one came forward!” She said with a clueless expression. “Perhaps, your fan!” Her lips giggled. “Sasha went totally nuts, it was so good to see her like that.” Nadine started mimicking her and I must say she was like her mirror image!! “You're the first student ever who defeated her in her stupid dance game.” *Chuckles “But she will target me even more now!” My heart was sure of it. Since we were close now, bringing up her name wouldn't be a problem. My patience had been eagerly waiting to ask about her but there's a right time for everything. “Do you know that student who died before my admission?” “Ah…Sylvia!” She uttered her name. “What happened to her?” *Sigh “She was very nice, but I don't know why she jumped off the terrace!” Nadine believed it was suicide, just like the others. “Was she worried about something?” “Was Sasha bullying her?” “What? No!” “Sasha and Sylvia were best friends.” I was quite taken aback. “What are you saying?” My ears refused to believe that. “They were best friends, but then something happened between them and they stopped talking.” “God knows what happened between them but there was a rumor that they both liked the same guy and Sylvia won his heart.” “Though it was just a rumor, none of them ever clarified anything!” “But why are you so curious about her?” “Ah…she was your cousin, right?” It suddenly hit her mind. My fake identity was of Father's niece, who lost her parents in a car accident. “Were you two close?” She asked further. “Not exactly!” My lips lied. Only Sasha knew what happened between her and Sylvia and to get to know the truth, I had to get on her good books first, even though it was too late for that attempt. *** Meanwhile near a cave… Nicolas’s pov Humans were not even allowed to step in Marceta, yet I had a secret grave carved in the memory of my beautiful wife. “Belle” “How are you, love?” Her face was still fresh in my heart, she was my mate, my first and last love. “It is so hard to live without you, it pains me every night.” Tears rolled down my eyes as my palm touched her stone carved grave with dead flowers shrouding it like a blanket. “Did you meet Sylvia?” “She must be happy to be with her mother after so long.” “And Rain…” “She suffered a lot, because of me!” “Our daughter is all grown up, she went to the Blue Castle school to find the one who killed her sister.” “I made her a locket with the help of an old friend, who specializes in magic.” “That locket will keep her secret safe, but since it was made using my blood to provide her with my scent, our family's wolf scent…the locket is sucking up my energy and anytime soon, I will be joining you and Sylvia in heaven.” “Rain doesn't know this, but give her your blessings, so that our daughter can find someone who will be by her side through thick and thin.” “Someone, who will protect her from Gerardo Da Vinci.” I wanted to take her far from Marceta but without Gerardo’s permission even a leaf can't escape this town. “She needs a monster by her side to fight another monster.” *** Back to Blue Castle school… Rain's pov As promised, my feet stepped into his dorm room and oh boy!! The room was different from the others, it was gorgeous and had expensive furniture. The whole decor was in black color and even the floor tiles could give you a feeling similar to a billionaire. Gerardo Da Vinci was giving his sons special treatment, no doubt about it. He handed me over his assignment and asked me to leave with that same stiff tone of no interest in talks. I was about to open the door… *Knock *Knock “I forgot my basketball jersey in your room, open the door.” It was Asher. He grabbed my wrist and immediately pushed me into his big wardrobe. “Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh!” His finger hushed my lips. He opened the door and that devil stepped inside with suspicion in his blue eyes. “What took you so long?” “Shower!” Felix lied. What would he even think about us? This was so wrong!! The corner of his lips curved and he started taking steps towards the wardrobe. “You're hiding something, aren't you?” "I definitely smell her!" “Get out of my room!” Felix commanded. That ba*tard was still stubborn, he didn't listen to a word Felix said and opened the wardrobe only to see me half hidden between Felix' huge clothes… Our eyes met and he chuckled!! “So you were hiding her?” “Ah…caught you, Topolina!”
