Rain's pov
Father was no longer by my side, and to pay school fees, I had to look for a part-time job. Mr. Enrico was understanding enough to give me more time, even after the deadline.
Nadine took me to a restaurant, it appeared to be quite expensive based on the gorgeous interior decor.
“They're looking for a part-timer and the pay is pretty good.” She whispered in her soft tone.
“Thank you, Nadine!”
She was really a huge help.
“What are friends for!” A smile glinted on her plump lips.
The restaurant was actually her distant uncle's, so they didn't even take my interview and hired me for the job right away. There was only one small problem, I had to do the night shift.
But for money, my words agreed.
