The breaking news horrified my soul…
Mr. Russo was caught up in a fire inside his restaurant and died. Apparently, it was an accident, but something was strange.
Nadine stepped into my room and hugged me tightly. She must have heard about her uncle's death.
“Nothing happened to you, right?” Worry flashed in her eyes.
“Uhm…I left early!” It was not a lie.
