I stared at the pale face of my mate as she lies unconscious on my bed. The light from the lamp was softly illuminating her bruised porcelain heart shaped face. Vernon- who ever he is will pay dearly for attempting to hurt my mate in front of me.
My wolf growled, still angered by what happened.
