" but mom...." I shook my head which caused Mia to drop the question she was about to ask.
" Mia as much as I am on your side about your father being too strict with you, he is correct. You are too young to go to a party and that's final." She sighed and flopped down on her bed covering her eyes with her hands.
" don't be like that Mia, now come on your aunt is downstairs and she wants to come up with different ways of torturing your father for what he said." That got her attention and she jumped up off the bed with a wicked grin on her face.
" yeah he deserves everything he's getting and more." I laughed and took her hand in mine so we could go see what Sarah was up to.
" ok ladies let's sit down, Josh is in the twins room playing video games so there's no one here to distract us." I nodded my head and we sat down close on the couch in the living room.
" ok here's my plan, I say wait until he's asleep and dye all of his hair grey." That came from Sarah which caused Mia and I to start laughing really hard.
" what? He doesn't like his hair grey so why not make it more grey than it already is?" I began laughing even more but then I got quiet as I thought about something.
" hey how about we all do a girls shopping spree including my mom and Jessie with her daughter and purchase a lot of stuff. He gave me full access to his spending account so why not make the most of it?" Sarah was about to reply but Dominic chose that moment to appear out of no where scaring the life out of us.
"what's going on?" He asked with a look on his face like he didn't trust us.
"N-Nothing just girl stuff." I replied and he walked away. Shoot I cant believe I stammered like that so now he's going to realized something was up. Mia nudged me with her shoulder and raised an eyebrow at me.
" really mom? You just gave us away." I shrugged my shoulders and looked at Sarah who sighed and got up.
" well your idea sounded like fun, so let me know which date our shopping spree will be and I'll be there." I nodded my head and got up. I wanted to invite Jessie over with her daughter Olivia so they can spend some time with us. Dominic bought her and her husband a mansion as a wedding gift and they live close by which was better that way. When Dominic broke the news that it was a six bedroom house, they were shocked but excited and thanked him every time they saw him. Along with the house he bought them two vehicles as well.
Living close by was fun At least I get to see my best friend and god daughter everyday. Jessie’s daughter Olivia is twelve years old and very close to the twins. I remembered once they said that she was their girlfriend and they were going to protect her with their lives which shocked everyone. Dominic forbade the twins from having Olivia in their room alone after that and the only way they could see her or talk to her was when she was in the company of an adult. I mean Dominic really overreacts sometimes and I told him that which resulted in me getting the s******g of my life and I never brought it up again. He can be so stubborn sometimes and over the years he had gotten worst.
Luckily Sarah had her own restaurant now which was doing great so far so I was able to work there on my free time. She made me partner which was great.
Dominic was trying to get me to quit because he wanted me home and not working at all. I’ve always wanted to be independent so I fought him until we came to an agreement. I get to work three days out of the week and only during the days because he doesn’t want me out at nights.
Before having Mia, Dominic had tight restrictions on me and I was going insane because of it. If I went out with Jessie at a club or something, Dominic would always show up there and made sure I never set foot out of the house again.
I had actually told my mom about it and she said that she thought it was sweet. Really? I had to go through lock down because of my overprotective husband.
He is even worst now when it comes on to his children. He made sure they had their own personal driver who had to listen to him and not them so the driver’s responsibility was to take the kids to and from school but knowing Mia, she tried to use Edward to take her to the mall one day instead of school which got her grounded for six months. You heard me, six months. I wanted to ground her for at least two weeks but I knew I wouldn’t win on that one so fighting with Dominic was just a waste of time. Sarah went back home with josh so I was kind a bored here.
Dominic was back in his office and I didn’t feel like talking to him right now.
“ Mia do you want to go for a walk with cooper?” Cooper is our golden retriever that Dominic bought for me two years ago when I was sick with the flu. He was trying to think of ways to make me feel better so he came home with cooper instead.
“ yeah mom let me go get a leash on cooper and then we can go.” I nodded my head and got up from the couch. I looked down at my clothes that I was wearing and shrugged. I was in a jeans shorts and blue blouse that I tied in the middle. My brown hair was up in a bun so I marched up to my room and grabbed a sunglass.
“ ok let’s go.” Mia nodded her head and cooper began wagging his tail and barking happily because of the walk.
“ come on cooper, here boy!” Mia shouted and cooper began barking even louder while playing with Mia. I laughed at them and took part in playing with cooper as well.
The morning is beautiful and peaceful which was something I enjoyed the most. After our walk and making sure that cooper did his business, we went back home and saw Dominic standing outside waiting for us. Oh oh here we go agai
