" dad please?" Amelia begged giving me the best dog puppy eyes she could think of, I rolled my eyes at her and shook my head. " no parties Mia and for the last time don't ask me that again or you are going to be grounded until you are eighty." Her eyes widened as she looked at me, wondering if I was serious. " dad you can't be serious! I'm fifteen years old, almost sixteen. so technically I have the right to make decisions for myself! You are trying to keep me from my friends who can’t even come here because of your rules, I’m tired of them and I want you to change them!” She had her mother's temper that was for sure. " I said no and that's final. Your friends can go to hell for all I care! Go to your room!" I was getting angry at her for even asking me this. She huffed and stomped her foot like the typical teenager she was and marched up to her room grumbling something to herself. " you know sometimes you can let up on her restrictions." I narrowed my eyes at my beautiful wife of so many years and somehow I began to wonder if she was stupid because that won't happen at all. That got her attention and she ran up to me giving me my much needed kiss. Her lips as soft as ever. After that I pulled her down on my lap and began massaging her shoulders. I began flexing my muscles at my sister which caused her to shriek and ran out of there like she just witnessed something awful. I shook my head and tried going back to work but I couldn't concentrate. I got up and walked out of my office instead, looking in every direction so I don't bump into any of them, but seeing how my day was going that was short lived. " dad! What's this I hear about you not wanting us?" Caleb shouted while rushing up to me. I sighed and looked at my boys who had this hurt expression on their faces. They both had my jet black hair and grey eyes but only Amelia had her mother's brown hair and my grey eyes. " what can I do to make it up to you uh? Just tell me and I'll do it." These kids sure has me wrapped around their fingers just like their mother. " well you could get us that video game we always wanted to play it's called halo." I rolled my eyes at Mason and agreed. They both started celebrating while running back to their room. Since they are twins, they are very much inseparable even though hailey and I tried separating them by giving them their own bedrooms, it just wasnt working. so we left it alone and got them bunk beds instead, to which they were extremely happy about. I sighed and went in search of Mia so I could see if she was ok. When I saw them in the living room sitting on a couch, All three of them were huddled up together and whispering in hushed tones. " what's going on?" They jumped and looked at me surprised. " n-nothing just girls stuff." Hailey replied and to which I didn't believe. I walked away after giving them my ' I don't trust you' look and headed towards the kitchen for some water. Maybe they were planning on doing something dreadful to me but I'll just have to wait and see. I grab a bottle from the fridge and went back to my office sighing and thinking how much my life had been changed for the better. I smiled when I looked at my family photo sitting on my desk. Hopefully everything go back to normal and everyone would stop being so pissy towards me.
