Chapter 4

Jayden had me fight them all he'd made us all go straight to the gym protests following him as he marched off him not listening to any of it. My father had argued with him all the way there said no way was I going backed uo by mom and Jess. He'd remained silent got to the training mats and gestured for me to step up.   Then Joseph,  leisha , felix and Craig, He even put dad against me but Jayden pulled him out , he wasn't attacking me like he was suppose to. I took my hits damm I took my hits I will definitely be bruised and sore 10 minute rounds with each of them.Auntie Leisha was the worst she held nothing back where as the guys did. She didn't not one bit , when mum had scowled and tsked at her she'd just shrugged. " They won't p***y foot around with wimpy hits like they dished on her , do you want to know she's safe or not?". She had whipped around and was aiming to kick me in the head I'd ducked , landed a kick to her knee then her chest and sent her flying. Dad had paces the edge of the mats the entire time he was like a raging bull ready to attack.

In that moment I'd never seen Auntie Leisha look more proud of me, she was on the floor on her ass and she'd actually got a tear to her eye. That was auntie Leisha though she was warped in the head or something if I'd shot her in the leg she would have probably bought me a car or something. She'd stood up and declared me a bad ass said I took after her. " Alissia why didn't you tell me you'd been doing all that training " dad ask and I shrug. He nods his head at me toward the benches , I know what was about to come.

He was going to try and talk me out of this , but I wouldn't let him. I was as stubborn and head strong as he was. I take a seat and so does he , he leans forward and puts his elbows on his knees. I give him a minute he would speak when he was ready , I watch as mum tried to not make it obvious she was watching us. As Jess flailed her arms around infront of Jayden , probably saying how could he even think of going along with this. He had his arms crossed over his chest though , he may be a Teddy bear when it came to Jess. But he also wouldn't take no crap either.

" We just got you back Alissia,  now you want to go running off into danger head first . I know what Carter has meant to you,  what he's always meant. The part we played in you moving away , the fact Carter has dived into a pile of deep s**t. I get why you belive it's your job to save him. But Alissia it's not ". He looks at me fear , sadness and guilt swimming deep in his own eyes. I'd never seen my dad show weakness only ever with me and mum. But I see the love he has for Carter too and everyone else here.

" Dad if mum disappeared tomorrow what would you do or even Jayden?" He huff put a laugh and looks away rubbing his chin with his hand. " There I am " He mutter under his breath. Another words I had his smarts too, my loving nature to care for others cane from mum. " You've got me ther kid , but I'm fully trained " he shoots back raising an eyebrow challenging me. " So is Carter , do you think Carter would let anything happen to me ? Hes trained solid for all these years right? That's makes him more trained than you. Mum isn't trained you protect her. Atleast I can fight I may not be ops trained but I can fight ".

He squints his eyes narrowing them at me , " Carter's mad at you what if he refuses? " I just raise an eyebrow in answer . He holds his hands up in defeat " yea yea I know the answer already , that kod would die for you" he shakes his head and studys my face. " You went and grew up on me baby girl " tears spring to my eyes , I'd always been a daddy's girl. Launching myself into his arms I hug him tight to me. Truth is I'd be scared shitless. I hadn't seen Carter in five years and who knows how he's react to seeing me. But I had to belive underneath the hate he now carried for me for breaking his heart.  Was still the boy that hugged me tight when if had a nightmare,  punch a kid who picked on me, or comfort me if I was upset. The boy that called me issy and said I was his forever.

" OK OK kid your choking me " dad says and I pull back guiltily. Maybe I'd held on a little too tight. " You know I have to fight your mom on this right,  and you are not going until you get training from abram. Leisha will give you fake credentials and when you get Carter alone. You punch him in the face for doing this to all of us , then you tell him I said he better fetch you back whole ".  Laughing I promise I'll do it all he gets up of the bench then looks down at me. " You two better fetch down these fuckers , make all of this actually worth it. Because I tell you now if you get hurt I'll drop bombs on all there buildings laws be dammed,  civilians be dammed , playing by the game be dammed. They'll all die no consequences to anything or anyone else".

He wasn't quiet this time , the whole room heard him Jayden , Jospeh they'd follow his lead. There would be know talking him out of it , it would be how where and when. Just the looks on my dads bestfriends faces reminds me who my family actually is. A girls hero worship of her father makes you forget who they actually are as people. You just see your hero , but in this moment I'm fully reminded that my dad and my family where dangerous. Dad wasn't just the guy that gave me piggy back rides and brushed my hair after the bath and read me and Carter stories before bed. Joseph wasn't the one who would sneak me sweets or tell his son off for not letting me breath. Jayden wasn't the guy who bought me a pony, the one I said I would marry and he'd be my Prince.

The men in my life was ruthless and killers criminals with soft hearts for this they loved. Damm they was protective,  I nod my understanding to my father he leans down and kissed my head. Before walking off " Get Abram here ASAP he will clue us all in on everything , every detail , every move EVERYTHING. He will help us get her in safely and then we will be apart of this operation too. If he argues its his op that's its Russia's issue not ours , tell him to go f**k himself he made us apart of this when he involved one of our kids " he spouts at Jayden and stomps out the room.

Mom raises her hand to her mouth and Jess looks mortified. They know this is now happening,  it's a done deal. Mum looks at me and then rushes out the room , Jess turns and says something to Jayden and follows after her. Then he leaves phone already in his hand. Leisha walks towards me at the benches her face serious she stops as she gets close.

" Do not do this because my son made you feel guilty for his feelings, I know what happened that night. I know what he belived that meant for you two. Alissia you can not blame yourself for you wanting to experience life. Carter he loves like his dad I did the most horrendous things to Jospeh and he let me and even went along with them aslong as I was happy truth was I was miserablebut I didn't trust him to not hurt me , that's what Carter gets from me . If your doing this your doing it save someone you love not someone you feel responsible for. Because if he see's your there out of pity he'll find a way to toss you out, it'll get messy and get you both caught. Be there to help and be there to be his partner in all of this his equal in fetching down an enemy not to save him . God knows your the only one  he'd let get that close " she leans down and kisses my head too then walks off. This was going to be hard,  who's to say he doesn't out me the minute he meets me.
