Chapter 19

    I walked down stairs and was helping Mickel fix dinner, we were having pork chops for everyone with mashed potatoes, green beans, corn on the cob, and chilli if they wanted that instead. I helped him fix the table in the dining room and set out the food in the middle. I made sure everyone had a glass of something to drink and then called for dinner time. Everyone came in shortly after, we all sat down and ate like a family, and in a way this was my family. 

    Shortly after dinner we were all sitting there and telling stories about ourselves. We were laughing and having such a good time, we had a little bit of wine with dinner. You could tell something was on Dimitti’s mind, when I asked what was wrong he came over to me and got down on one knee. 

    “I know we haven’t known each other long, but I know you are the one I want to spend my life with. We have had our differences, adn to me that only makes things stronger. I have such a strong love for you that I can’t hide it much longer. I want to spend the rest of my life knowing and loving you...    Will you marry me?”

    “Yes”

    I couldn’t help but to answer as soon as the question left his lips. I was so happy and in love with this man that nothing else mattered at this moment. He put the ring on my finger that he hadn't pulled out till I said my answer. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with this loving and caring man in front of me. I knew he felt the same and I wanted this moment to last forever. I kissed him right then and then looked over to Mickel who had the biggest smile on his face as well. It was like he knew he was going to ask and didn’t want to say anything. 

    A little while later we got up from the table, it was dark out, I told Dimitti to wait for me upstairs. I was going to help Mickel clean up like always. He went upstairs and as soon as I knew he was out of ear shot I spoke up. I asked him if he knew he was going to do that. What he told me shocked me more than anything. He said that DImitti had asked him for my hand and he said yes, that he gave him the ring his wife wore and was now my ring. I could feel the tears coming to the surface and I didn’t try to stop them. I went over and hugged him so hard, but it didn’t faze him. 

    After everything was put up and cleaned, I went upstairs to see Dimitti waiting for me with a movie on. I got into bed with him and cuddled till we fell asleep together. The next day we went and dropped the guys off at the training facility, the same one I had gone to. I had given them pointers on how to act and what goes on so they would be prepared. They took it all in and asked questions as well, I answered then the best I could and wished them farewell. 

    Once we left and were back to Washington, Dimitti wanted to take a drive with me. I agreed and didn’t ask any questions about what we were doing. He took me out the country, farther than what Mickel was and down a dirt road. It led to beautiful land that was cleared and had grass, trees surrounding the property. I looked over at Dimitti and the smile on his face told me all I needed to know, this was ours. I got out and started walking the property, it was huge, and I knew we would have all the land we wanted to do whatever we wanted with it. 

    He came up behind me and laid out plans, I wanted to know what these plans were. What I saw was a house, we were going to build a house for us to live in. I didn’t know how much this would cost but he told me he had been saving up for this for years. He had some people coming out today to look at the land and the plans to start building tomorrow. I was shocked, he had all of this planned out to a T. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it, once the guys had come out I told them a couple of changes we wanted in the house that we had talked about before they got there. 

    They listened, making notes on the plans as we told them. They went around and measured the property, putting flags where the corners of the house were going to be. They told us they would be here tomorrow when the sun started to rise and start as soon as possible. They told us it would be only a couple of months before it was done. I was shocked it would take that long, I was thinking years before it would finished. 

    After about a month we had finished all the wedding plans not knowing when our next mission would be. The wedding would be in a week and I had to get a dress, I didn’t have anyone to help me pick one out. That morning I got a call telling me the guys had finished their training and had passed their exams. They are coming back tonight, I would going to pick them up and welcome them back. I told Dimitti and said to get them to help with the dress, the only thought I had was that they made it back in time for the wedding and were going to be home. 

    I went to the headquarters and they all seemed to be happy to see me, they asked me how we were doing and what was going on. I told them about the wedding and how they made it back just in time. I asked them if they would help me tomorrow with the dress and they all yelled hell yea. I was so happy to have my family back together, the guys were all I had besides Mickel and Dimitti. Once we got back to the house Dimitti asked them to be his best men, they said yes except Clark and Sam. I asked them why and they said because they were going to be my maids of honor. I couldn’t stop the smile that came over my face. 

    Clark and Sam woke up just on time for us to get the shops right as they opened, and they were there all day with me helping me pick out dresses. We had finally found the right one by the time it was five in the afternoon. The dress had lace in the back and on the arms, it was an off white, buttoned all the way down on the back and was form fitting all the way to my hips. It was gorgeous, and I had fallen in love with it.
