CHAPTER 03 : LIVELY CEO

"Hey, I found you."
The CEO got delighted just seeing the small guy from earlier. He may be in the furthest corner but his fair skin stood out among them.
He was staring at him in all anticipation but the people completely misunderstood him.
"Ah, yes Sir. Ms. Ghaile Evenclaw, and I presumed you had known her for her exceptional voice." Pi said
He stared at him, confused.
"Her father is the President of the Humsvan Trading Corp., Mr. Jorge Evenclaw Sir." one of the executives added who walked towards them
Dylan nodded and took a glance at the beautiful lady. She truly possesses the beauty of nonstandard.
"Hello Ms. Evenclaw." he greeted
Ghaile Evenclaw politely bowed, "Good Morning Sir." she greeted in a curve of a smile.
"I am glad to see another beauty in my building!" he said
"Welcome, Ms. Evenclaw."
Ghaile shyly smiled, "I'm honored, Sir."
Willa and the others completely felt small as the honorary people mingle with each other.
"And of course hello interns!" the CEO then turned to them.
The two in front brightened up and bowed immediately, "Hi Sir!" Veen and Willa said in the chorus which made Daylan laugh.
"Such a lively interns Pi." Daylan turned to him
"Yes Sir." Pi smiled but unnoticeably turned to Shino and the other intern. Their faces are completely showing boredom and discomfort!
Good thing they're behind the three which can take the spotlight alone.
"You mentioned touring them right?" Daylan asked
Pi had a bit of premonition on this. A bad feeling.
"Why don't I accompany you touring the whole building itself?" Daylan gladly offered.
They gasped in shock. Pi and the executives immediately oppose his decision.
"Sir, you don't need to do that."
"It's completely not an option Sir."
Pi panicked once again, "We're all doing fine by ourselves Sir."
The people surrounded him but he shook his head, "It's my free day guys! I just got back overseas and finished my work. Do you think I need to refresh my mind on our building updates? Because I honestly think I need to." he said
They all stopped and stare at each other.
"But Sir, do you think you should rest?" Pi still opposed his decision
"Nah~ later. So where do we start? Are you done touring here?" he asked in full enthusiasm
They can only all sigh because the young CEO has been like this, whenever there's an opportunity, he'll grab it to check on the building and to his employees.
"We're done here Sir," Pi replied, admitting defeat.
"So how about we go to the 51st floor going upward?" he offered.
"As you wish Sir," he said in defeat again.
"Then let's go!" he led the way
Pi entertained him in all manner of talks while the others trailed behind him but from time to time he'll start a talk to the lively Willa and Veen. He'll laugh, giggle and chuckle whenever there's something funny.
He's completely a carefree person who had no negativity in his genes.
They visited the departments on every floor and truly it is, the kind CEO was always in vibes with the employees talking in pure casual with them which can only make them feel honored but also in panic due to his sudden visits.
The floors filled with waves of laughter and joy as the people swarmed to welcome the CEO in their respective floors and of course, Daylan welcomed them in all delight.
"It's an honor to be with the CEO on our first journey here but...." Willa panted
"....why do we have to follow him on every floor?" she said under her breath
The CEO introduced them to every department, traveling all around which made them keep paces as he follow him in every corner of the floors they visited.
They can feel glares and sharp scoffs all around them because what can they do? They got caught up on the CEO's enthusiasm this day.
But their feet were giving up and their energy is draining down.
"This is Daylan Jack for you. The most energetic CEO in the business world!" Veen exclaimed as they follow Pi and the CEO which were busy talking to another director.
Shino silently followed behind.
"Hey, you okay Shin?" Willa asked
Shino stared at her curly neon highlights, "Yes, thanks for asking." he replied
But Willa tends to stare at him for a longer time.
"Hey, are you avoiding me?" she asked
Shino awkwardly smiled, "No, of course not."
Willa stepped closer, "But you're not looking at me, at my eyes."
"Do you have sore eyes? They say sore eyes are infectious when you look at them." Willa said
"Don't worry about me, I developed this habit out of valid reasons." he reasoned out
Willa nodded, "Well, we're all having that."
She leaned closer to him, "I also had a weird habit."
"What is it?" he asked curiously
"I tend to eat paper whenever I'm stressed!" she whispered
Shino chuckled, "I think it's normal."
"Right!" she laughed
"Hey! Hurry up!" Veen called out to them.
"Coming!" Willa replied
"Let's go," she said to Shino and went to catch up with the others.
But he saw someone standing not too far away, he doesn't know if he's directly staring at him but he's sure that his body is inclined towards him. He's focused on the man's neck.
Shino then realized that it was one of the interns.
The guy, upon seeing that Shino noticed him, turned to walk away to follow the others.
Shino's eyes followed his unhurried steps walking away and feeling his hands become colder, he immediately clasped his palms together and rubbed them. This condition still comes occasionally whenever he's tensed or felt discomfort.
He walked towards the others without lifting his head, he tried calming his heart while rubbing his paling hands. It started shaking but it's not vigorous and if he can calm himself down, it would disappear a short while.
Then suddenly, he heard faint calls coming from behind.
He was about to turn his head but he felt himself bumping into a person ahead and unlike earlier, there's no impact this time however due to him, the person he bumped into, lost its standing.
"Ms. Evenclaw!" they called
Ghaile almost fell to the ground but the CEO in front luckily caught her, reaching for his waist to have her land safely on his chest.
Shino got rooted on the spot, realizing what did he had just done.
"Are you okay beauty?" Daylan asked as she retained his standing.
Ghaile raised her head to see the CEO's worried face.
She blushed and shyly nodded, pulled away from him.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Willa whispered to Shino who was the person calling for him when he's too focused on something else and walked too fast forward that he reached Ghaile.
Shino folded his palms, "I-I didn't see..." he uttered in guilt.
"But don't worry about it, I think we just found a perfect pair thanks to your sore eyes," Willa said as the people around the area gazed at the two, one was a fine young man and one was a beauty standing against each other.
Daylan and Ghaile were talking to each other, the man was smiling while the other is shy in responding.
Shino sighed as his heart finally calmed down. Good thing it's not a major scene on his first day.
