EPISODE 8

Cate covered her falling mouth as she repeatedly read the text that they received. They both applied for a part time job as an administrative assistant, there were five job vacancies so they both tried their luck.

"I still can't believe we got considered for an interview, we don't have any experience and we don't have our degree yet! The Gold Carter Super-Nova Company doesn't entertain unqualified job applicants! How did this happen!?" Cate stomped her feet like a toddler and jumped happily while we held our hands together.

"I don't know!" Sabina yelled happily and giggled. "Maybe because they saw our school records, I mean we're both top of our class and we're currently enrolled in this top-notch university! This must be it! Everybody knows only the best brains could enter this university!"Sabina tried to find a logical reason for this miracle.

She purposely applied in a company where Kale and the Caddel family had zero influence, she knew she could be given a special treatment in Señior Antonio's business empire but she wanted to earn money that wasn't from him or his business. So when she received the text, she was ecstatic!

Meanwhile...

EVANDER AND GRAYSON CARTER — SUPER-NOVA COMPANY BUILDING

"Look at this." Grayson couldn't stop looking at the 2x2 inch picture on the resume of Sabina Hayes Caddel... she looked very familiar.

Evander furrowed his eyebrows and picked up the paper from his brother's desk. Blonde hair, thin but sweet smile and her eyes resembled someone familiar... "Who is she?" He asked, completely interested now.

"We'll get to know her soon." Grayson lit his cigarette and blew a long horn of smoke in the air as he looked out of his wide open window. They're currently at the top floor of their tower, the building was the tallest building in the middle of the city.

For months they've lost their hope in finding her...

"She applied here? For a part time job?" Evander couldn't wrap the information in his head. If she is currently enrolled in a top-notch university then she must be from a rich family, but why does she need a part time job?

"Maybe she's looking for job experience." Grayson chuckled, he found it ridiculous as well. He couldn't find a reasonable explanation no matter how smart he is.

"Her birthday.." Evander gasped.

"That's why I'm personally interviewing her tomorrow. Do you want to come?" Grayson lifted his head lazily to face his brother. He was three years older than his brother, although he is the second eldest son of Jonathan Carter, he had no choice but to consult things with his younger brother.

"I wouldn't miss it." Evander Hansen Carter replied with stern necessity. He left and immediately gave someone important an emergency call, every hope that crossed their path never passed without their utmost effort to determine the truth.

The uncanny resemblance..... coincidence or not, doesn't matter. He had to make sure it was her!

Grayson saw his phone rang while his brother was leaving, he wasn't in a mood to answer the caller but he knows that the woman will not stop calling later. He preferred to deal with her now, rather than endure the annoying calls. He needed some peace to think later!

"Hello." Grayson picked up the call. "I'm busy, keep it short." He ordered before the woman could start speaking.

"I left the invitation on your desk this morning, did you receive it?" She asked, her seductive voice irritated him. He was not in the mood for flirting, he'd rather sit and smoke in his office and think about that young woman he saw earlier...and also that young woman's friend - Catelyn..

He saw the invitation and didn't even bother to pick it up.

"Is that all?" He asked impatiently.

"Kaleo and I are going on a date night, shall I arrange your meeting with him in advance?" The woman giggled, implying she has more plans after a date night with Mr. Kaleo Caddel.

Althea Heart, a 25 year old model, who was constantly linked to the Caddel family due to her scandalous flinging with Kaleo Caddel.

"You'll get the project after I've bought the Ship Building Company from him. Don't ever think setting up a meeting is enough, Althea." Grayson pressed the end call rudely, making Althea groan in irritation. She has to secure another five year contract with the Carter's SC Fashion Company or else her career would be over! It was tough for her to maintain popularity and keep the projects and endorsement coming. Without a powerful and influential man backing her up in her modelling career abroad, she slowly became unpopular after several big breaks started to come less and less frequently.

'How can I convince Kale to sell his Grandpa's Ship Building Company and private port?' Althea could only glare at her own reflection in the lady's room. Kale only agreed to have dinner with her because she reminded him of his promise to her.

He'll continue to help her as long as she lets his family believe she's still his girlfriend.

This made Althea think that Kale couldn't move on and that he's still got feelings for her. She's confident that Kale loves her so much.

'Maybe he'll sell it to the Carter's to help me, but I have to be his wife first to do that.' Althea thought about it deeply. When she becomes his wife, she'll forever be rich and famous. All the ladies of that family are! Except for that adopted girl, Sabina. Señior Antonio loves her but doesn't let her attract attention. She wasn't allowed to have social media accounts, attend huge parties and the whole city is forbidden to take stolen photos of her!

Rumors say that Señior Antonio killed people that tried to photograph his adopted granddaughter!

Althea felt satisfied with herself after a few retouches to make her lips look more inviting. She has to seduce Kale into marriage! She wants that kind of power, one that Sabina enjoys!

Sabina Del Casa —South Maeda Exclusive Neighborhood, Ventus City

"Woah! This is your new home?" Cate looked up and admired the Villa, Grandpa even named it after his granddaughter to show everyone how much he loves her.

"I think it's too much." Sabina worriedly looked at the hugeness of the house, she silently computed the estimated value of the lavish estate in her mind and slowly felt her head hurt.

"How can I afford to pay it back?"

"So I guess you'll have to endure your brother, we'll be leaving now." Cate pushed the last of her luggage inside the empty living room. Sabina has not yet purchased some furniture and a nice couch to match the beautifully furnished living room and kitchen.

"Don't leave, Cate." Sabina pulled her back inside the house and ordered Mr. Dante to stay as well. "This is my house now, I will be the one to decide who will stay and who won't." Sabina said with seriousness.

Dante and Cate almost fell on the floor with a wave of strong surprise that crashed them. Sabina has never dared stand up for herself when the Caddel family bullied her but this time, she looked so ready to do that. Cate felt proud of her, if there's someone that the Caddel family should fear offending? It's definitely Sabina!

One word from her and Señior Antonio will grant everything her heart desires!

"But Mr. Kale would be angry, Ms. Sabby. I think we should not disobey him." Dante didn't feel good about her sudden bravery, he was scared that the young master might cancel his daughter's sponsorship and scholarship.

Sabina thought about this the entire day, she used to be very obedient especially if it was Kale who ordered her around but today, she decided to start practicing her independence and trust her own capabilities to support herself. She's going to start by living without servants, earning her own money and no Kaleo controlling her life.

"Grandpa will understand, I'll talk to him." Sabina firmly decided.
