Libby breathed in the fresh air, soaking in the sun’s warmth on her face. After the heavy conversation at dinner, it was nice to get outside and enjoy this perfect autumn day. She spread a blanket under the shade of a gum tree, its leaves rustling overhead. Chloe and Paul unpacked the picnic basket, filled with fresh strawberries, lamingtons, sandwiches and cordial. As they ate, talk turned to Daniel’s impending tour and the changes it would bring. Libby’s heart sank as she realised she’d have to give up her dance classes.
