"We only have two guys left. This is going to be exciting. Our CEO is still in the game! How exciting is that? Is he going to be the winner or the other contender? We will see! Now for the fifth question: what is Cytherea’s favorite food here in New Orleans? Is it boiled crawfish or muffaletta? Ready guys! In 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Show us your answers!” First guy: Muffaletta Second guy: Muffaletta “And the correct answer is?” the emcee looked at Cytherea while waiting for her answer. “Muffaletta.” she briefly answered and smiled at the emcee. She was looking at the table where Athena is, and she noticed that Ares stormed out of the table. She was confused. Ares was not supposed to go anywhere, most especially that they don’t know when the stalker will appear. “Wow! It is a close fight. All of them got the correct answer. Let’s proceed to question number six. Cytherea, if you’re going on a vacation, which one would you choose: mountain climbing or going to the beach? Hmm, I wonder if our players will get this right. So, guys, you need to be ready to write down your answers in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Show us your answers!" First guy: Mountain climbing Second: Beach "It seems like we will have our winner now. They have different answers. Who is it gonna be?” The crowd cheered crazily. They were excited about who will be the lucky guy.” “Cytherea, what is the answer?” Cytherea put the microphone directly in front of her mouth and answered, “Mountain climbing.” “Oh, wow!” the emcee commented. “You are indeed an adventurous girl. We are told that you are doing vlogs on Itube, is that correct?” “Yes, I am,” she timidly answered. Her heart was beating so fast. She was silently praying that it was Gaus who answered the question right because she already knew him and she’s comfortable with him. “Before we reveal the lucky winner, why don’t you plug your Itube channel?” “Umm, yes. I would love everyone to check my channel, which is Cytherea Swan. For those who love food and travel, please check my channel.” The crowd cheered again. “Okay! I will surely check your channel, Cytherea. Thank you for sharing it with us. Now, show yourself player number two! He is the one who answered the beach. Don’t you like going to the beach, Cytherea?” “I actually do,” she answered. “But I preferred mountain climbing more if given a chance to choose between the two,” she added. Player number two revealed himself. Gasps from the crowd filled the room. Cytherea looked back to see who the man was, and her eyes widened as the man started walking towards them. The man smiled at Cytherea and hugged her when he got beside her. Cytherea returned his smile and hugged him too. “Aww, our CEO lost the game. But you two looked like you knew each other.” The emcee put the microphone in front of Gaus’ mouth so he can be heard. “Yes, we’ve known each other not too long ago,” Gaus answered, smiling. “He was actually the one who invited us and we were thankful that he did because we enjoyed the night,” Cytherea added. “Aww, too bad that our CEO was not able to win. Well, better luck next time, Boss.” Gauss smiled and hugged Cytherea once again before leaving the stage. “And now for our winner, please reveal yourself!” The crowd cheered as Lemnos walked towards Cytherea, smiling. “Congratulations!” The emcee exclaimed. Lemnos hugged the emcee and went beside Cytherea to hug her too. “How does it feel that you won this game?” the emcee interviewed. “I was actually surprised. I mean, I would love to win this game, but you know I’m surprised that I actually did. It’s an honor to be with you tonight.” “I don’t know, but I’m getting excited about the two of you. Cytherea is no longer available, but who knows?” The emcee giggled. “By the way, is this your first time meeting each other?” The emcee handed the phone to Lemnos so he could answer. “Oh no, we’ve met before, but this will be the first time that we actually get close, if you know what I mean.” Lemnos smiled. He was looking at Cytherea while answering the question. The emcee couldn’t help but squealed. The chemistry between Cytherea and Lemnos was too strong. They looked good together only if Cytherea was single. “I have to be honest here,” the emcee started. “No offense to Ares, but you two looked good together.” The crowd started yelling in agreement. “See? Can you both hear the crowd? They agree with me. You two really look good together and if given a chance, if in case Cytherea is still single, will you court her?” Lemnos smiled and looked at Cytherea, whose face was turning red. “She’s really beautiful and if she is still single… yes. I certainly will, without a doubt.” “Oh my god! It’s getting hot in here! Well, congratulations, Lemnos. Here is your cash prize worth $10,000.” The emcee handed the check to him, but he refused. “I will donate that check to the other games. I actually have fun playing the game, and it’s already enough for me.” “Oh my! We have an additional ten grand as cash prizes for our games. Thank you, Lemnos. We surely appreciate this. Now, as your other prize, you two will spend the evening. There will be two waiters that will serve you as well as a band to serenade you while you enjoy your desserts or another wave of foods for dinner. To commemorate your winning, you will have the opportunity to dance with Cytherea on the dance floor. Anyone who wants to dance can join them as well. We will have a thirty minutes break before we start our new game. The emcee signaled the band, and they started playing a love song entitled Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Lemnos took Cytherea’s hand, which she gladly accepted, and brought her to the middle of the dance floor. She placed her hands on his shoulder while his hands were on her waist. Lemnos was looking intently at her while Cytherea looked down. She couldn’t handle the intensity of Lemnos’ gaze. “Do I make you uncomfortable?” Lemnos carefully asked while they are swaying to the tune of the song. “Nah, I was just nervous.” “Why? I’m not going to eat you,” he jokingly said. “I’m not thinking you’re going to eat me,” she chuckled. “It’s just that this is the first time that I’m dancing with someone whom I just met. I’m not used to it.” “Don’t worry. I’m not going to do anything to make you uncomfortable.” “Thank you.” Cytherea smiled and felt relief. Their small chit-chat is making her comfortable. She was glad that Lemnos started small talks with her. “Excuse me, Lemnos, but is it okay that I dance with Cytherea too?” Cytherea looked and found Gauss beside Lemnos. “But of course, good timing because my phone is vibrating, and it seems my phone is ringing. You’re a lifesaver, Gaus. I will entrust Cytherea to you.” He turned to Cytherea. “I will be back and join you with those desserts they’re talking about.” Cytherea smiled and nodded. Lemnos handed Cytherea’s hand to Gaus before leaving the dance floor. From afar, a man was secretly taking a video of Cytherea and Gaus dancing together. “This video is enough to make Ares’ blood boil, Boss,” he muttered to himself.
