Chapter 25 - The Annual Party 6

Ares was struggling from the man’s grip. He was contemplating if it was a prank or part of the game. He couldn’t also brush off the fact that maybe this was also the stalker’s doing. With that thought, he struggled even more. But the person was so strong that he couldn’t let go. Suddenly, he felt a sudden pressure from his neck that made him lose his consciousness. The man wrapped Ares’ body with a black cloth.  He then lifted him and put him on his right shoulder.  No one was able to notice what had happened at the dark corner of the ballroom.    Anyone that will see him would think that he was only lifting a roll of black cloth.   This dark corner was used for transporting the foods to the ballroom. It is connected to the restaurant's kitchen so it will be easier for the staff to transport the food and dishes back and forth. This hallway is also hidden, that no one knows it exists unless an employee of the hotel. Since the dinner has been served, this hallway is now free from the employees. The lights were already turned off. The man used this opportunity so that he could take away Ares.    He was very discreet as he walked his way to the kitchen. He opened the kitchen door. He saw that people were busy cleaning the kitchen. He fixed his black mask and went in, making sure that no one would notice him if he passed by.   One kitchen staff member decided to stretch his arms when he saw the man passed by.   “Hey,” the kitchen staff called the man.   The man stopped but didn’t face the staff that was calling him. He was waiting for the kitchen staff to tell him what he wanted.   The kitchen staff went towards the guy and was about to touch the cloth, but the man was too fast to block his hand.   “Don’t,” the man warned. His voice was stern.   “I’m sorry, I just want to make sure that this is the new role of cloth that was ordered,” the man apologized while scratching his head.   “It is, but don’t touch it. We will get into trouble if you do.”   “I know this is a very delicate cloth. Are you going to put it in the cloth storage?” he innocently asked. He found it odd how the man handled the rolls because he was wearing black gloves. He shrugged. He knew that the rolls were expensive and thought that might be the reason why.   “Yes.”   “Okay, I bet that’s heavy. Would you like some help?”   “No. Do you need anything?”   “Nope!” the kitchen staff said, popping the letter p. “You can go now. I’m sorry for holding you up. I know that’s heavy. Are you really sure you don’t want help with that?”   The man nodded and adjusted the rolls on his shoulder before walking to the other exit of the kitchen without looking back.    The kitchen staff shrugged. He found the man way too serious in doing his job.    ‘I like that man. He does his work well. He’s very dedicated,’ he smiled with the thought.   The man successfully exited the kitchen without any interruption. He went to the abandoned music room that was turned into storage. It is not too far from the kitchen, but no one ever goes there anymore. It was full of things for decoration and other stuff that the hotel doesn’t use anymore. It was a perfect spot to hide Ares because the room was soundproof. The perks of being an old music room.   The man looked at the surroundings first. He was making sure that no one noticed him entering that storage room. When all was clear, he took out the key from his pocket and opened the door. Once it opened, he immediately went inside and locked the door.   He put the rolls of cloth to the ground and unrolled them until it revealed Ares. He carried Ares again and made him sit on the chair. He took the black bag that was in the corner and opened it. He grabbed the masking tape as well as the zip ties. He used the zip ties to tie Ares’ wrist on each armchair.    When he was satisfied that the zip ties were tight enough, he ripped about five inches long of the masking tape and put it on Ares’ mouth. It will prevent him from making a noise. Even if the room is known to be soundproof, he couldn’t ignore the fact that it was still an old room. He needed to make sure that the plan would be carried out perfectly.    After a little while, Ares is starting to regain his consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes and found out that he was in an unknown place. The place was dim and only emergency lights were on. He wanted to scratch his eyes, but he noticed that his hands were tied. He tried to wiggle his hands to see if it loosens the zip ties, but it didn’t. He also noticed that his mouth was taped.    His heart is starting to get uneasy. He remembered that there was a pair of hands who dragged him and that he lost his consciousness as he tried to struggle from the person’s grasp. He knew that person was a man—no way a woman could do this to him.    Fear began to torment Ares. He remembered Cytherea. She was all alone and even though Athena was there, she was not much of a help if something happened. He started to look for any possible escape. He was thinking of Cytherea's safety. He had a feeling that the lunatic did this. And if something happens to Cytherea, he will not be there to rescue her. He started to blame himself. If only he could control his anger as Athena talked nonsense to him, this should have never happened.    He tried wiggling his wrists again in hopes that somehow the ties will unfasten themselves.    “No matter what you do, you will never untie those zip ties,” the man with a husky voice said, chuckling.   Ares stilled for a second, knowing that he was not alone in the room. The man has a dangerous tone. He smirked. He doesn’t care who the man is. He will never be intimidated by him.
