Pearl's POV
"Chicken"
I close my eyes and focus on the party before me.
"Chicken. Chicken. The biggest chicken you are" Mist screams again and again.
"Okay then what do you want me to do? Leave my Beta position? It is not a position anymore, Mist! I killed their beta. Do you even understand what brought me there in the first place?" I roar at Mist.
We both stay silent for a while.
"Chicken" she screams again before blocking me and I sigh.
I look around and I find Conrad talking to Joanna. Ryan and Flynn are talking to each other with beer in their hands. Everyone is talking to some or the other.
I just want to go home and have dinner with my son. I want to tuck him under the blankets and watch him sleep. I want to have long deep talks with Selena and Nova again.
