Mattie’s POV I left the room, feeling confused and conflicted. I knew we had to deal with his past and his involvement in the war, and with the rogue Alpha, but it wasn’t fair or right to do any of that without Mal and Rae here to witness it. I left the room to give myself some thinking space. It was difficult to think straight there with his scent filling the air and the way he made me feel. I needed a drink, and my stomach growled loudly.
