Under the moonlight I

Mom came to me and cupped my cheek in her warm hands, a faint smile lingers on her lips. “It is because I am without a wolf? and just a mere human? If Dad was still a Beta, would we have lived differently?” “Aria, look at me. You are only a late bloomer. You are a werewolf and a strong one, trust me, Aria.” She let go of my face and wiped the tears off my eyes with her thump. “Let’s go, I’ve got the truck ready for us.” She turned her back against me and walked over to the truck, She got in and shut the door. I saw her crying, with her face turned to the window. She wiped her tears with the back of her hand. I took a deep breath and followed the steps she took. I hate to see her cry. I got into the truck and slammed the door. “Let’s go. Mom.” I lowered myself into the car, wishing I could disappear from it. “Hold on tight!” Mom suddenly yelled, halfway through the drive, my eyes snapped open immediately. “Mom, What’s going on?” I glanced around worriedly. “I’m gonna take care of it, you don’t have to worry.” She panicked, her hands tightened on the wheels and her knuckles turned white. “We are heading into the middle of nowhere!” I yelled. “Don’t worry.” She stared at the rear mirror fearfully. I was alarmed and looked behind her, there was another truck on our tail. Driving at the same velocity we were. Mom increased her speed. “Mom!” I screamed. “Don’t panic, honey. Hold tight.” “I won’t let them get you.” Her eyes were teary, she sniffed and looked away from me. Our truck was hit from behind, and whacked again, Mom screeched to a sudden halt into a giant tree. I jerked forward holding the seatbelt. “Ah!” I shrieked and bashed my head against the window, the glass was broken. “I’m sorry, honey.” Mom cried and hurried to get out of the car “To the back seat, Aria Now!” She looked restless. “What’s going on?” I squinted my eyes, I was bleeding from the side of my head. “No matter what, do not come out of the car, to the backseat now and hide! You hear me, Aria!” She warned, wagging her finger at me. “Here...” She thrust a paper into my hands ignoring my words. “You must find Hale.” She slammed the wall and walked out. How am I supposed to find Hale? I crawled to the backseat and hid just where I could see her. Who the hell was Hale? “...I told you, it wasn’t over!” I craned my neck a little bit, I could only see Mom’s face and the broad back of the tall man talking to her. There were other wolves around her. What was happening? My heart pounds heavily against my chest, and I can hear the beating clearly in my ears. “Where is she?” “I won’t say a word.” Mom shook her head and growled at him, her fangs coming out. “I won’t ask again,” Mom growled in reply to him and transformed into her wolf. Mom was an omega, I doubt she would be able to go against him, he was bigger and stronger than her. I clenched my fist, this was all my fault. “Mom.” I whimpered where I was hiding like some coward. My father jumped out of the forest and transformed into his wolf form, he is standing beside Mom protectively, snarling at the pack warriors. “Search the truck!” He gave out his orders. I hid when they clashed, fighting fiercely and my father stopped them from coming to get me. “Aria. Run!” Mom shouted. I pushed the door open, crying as I jumped out of the truck. “Get her!” My father blocked my view and the next thing I saw was the sliver bullet piercing into his heart. Argh! I shouted. “Run! Aria!” Dad growled. I took to my heels, running, screaming, and crying. I steal a glance at my father and his chestnut brown eyes were closed. Mom was captured by the warriors, she was struggling for them to let her go. She mumbled. “Aria, don’t give up.” “Get her!” I ran into the thick woods that was covered with tall trees and huge mountains. “Find the girl!” I leaned behind a tree and heaved a breath. I had to keep running, though I had no idea where I was running to. I couldn’t find anywhere out of these woods, the more I ran, the further I got into it. I heard a howl within the bushes. I looked behind me, they were so close to me, that a tree got hold of my feet and I fell, hitting my face on the ground. The full moon was casting its glow upon the bushes, and I heard his howl again. “Ah.” I tried to stand but I could not. My sight was getting blurry, the face was probably covered in blood, and the head was banged. The howl sounded close to me, I lifted my head and saw a black shoe standing in front of me, where I had fallen. I looked up at the long legs and saw a tall man about 6’4 with broad shoulders, the moonlight gave me a glimpse of his sculpted face. His jaw was strong and accented the masculinity he held. His appearance caught me off guard, he was the most attractive appearance among the whole pack but his aura did not feel as if it was ordinary. I slumped on his feet. “Take her.”
