Those Burning Eyes.
THE YOUNG Jillian wake too early. She is fond of morning or might well to say, she is a morning person. She loves waking up too early, going outside even though it is a bit still dark and wait for the sunrise. Those are the scenes she wants to play with her mind the whole day.
Jillian took her jacket from her closet. It is cold outside and she doesn't want to feel that cold, it will seriously bring her into cough and fever. She likes warm things.
Like how her late mother did hot chocolate for her and his dad buying her sweater. Everything is perfect for Jillian. She had a very loving mother and a generous and living father. She doesn't wish anything... But sadly, she realized that life is too short.
Hiram lang ang buhay ng tao at maagang kinuha na ng Diyos ang buhay ng kanyang mga magulang. She has no proper control with it.
Kahit ilang beses pang mag-wish sa mga star, maghulog ng barya sa fountain at umasa. She knows that they won't come back. They are gone forever. That is the painful truth and she is aware of that.
Dahil sa nangyari ay maaga na naging matyre mag-isip ang batang Jillian. She is now more mindful about life and reality. She early leaves the phase of being child. She is now much rational, and more capable to absorb the truth.
Hindi namalayan ni Jill na papasikat na ang araw. Jill is seating on the garden at ninanamnam ang sariwang hangin at ang pagdampi ng marahan ng araw.
The sunrise reminds her that if there is an end, there is also a start. Na kahit anong mangyari, Jillian should never stop striving. It is for her betterment.
Nabigla naman si Jill nang mayroong kamay ang nag-abit sa kanya ng tasa. Si tita s***h ninang Anna niya pala iyon. The kind smile that made her remind of her late mother.
"A hot chocolate, I know you love to sip one, namana mo iyan sa aming dalawa ng best friend ko at mommy mo. My child hates chocolate on the other hand," saad ni Anna sa nakababata na taimtim na nakikinig sa kanya.
"Maraming salamat po," pagpapasalamat naman ni Jill. Her ninang, what she said is the truth.
Jillian and her late mom loved chocolate. They have both sweet teeth. Ngayon ay mas lalong nami-miss niya ang kanyang mga magulang. What she is dealing right now is not simple.
At first, she felt so betrayed. Naramdaman niya na parang pinagkaisahan siya ng mundo at inabanduna ng ganoon kadali. Pero na-realize niya rin na ganoon talaga. Maikli lang ang buhay ng tao. Our finish line is on Godspeed. No one has the power to stop it.
"Walang ano man Jillian. You are so early to wake up, at nasakto rin na maaga akong nagising." Iyon ang sinabi ni Anna kay Jillian.
"I love sunset po. It is beautiful, vibrant at ito lang yung mga oras na kayang titigan ang araw. Sunrise makes me remind that life is need to be productive, never stop, tuloy lang." Nakatingin pa rin si Jill sa langit habang sinasabi ang mga iyon.
"You love sunrise? I see, manang-mana ka sa mommy mo. Even your hobby is a like with her. Habang ako naman ay Selenophile. You know I love moon naman. Kasi kahit mag best friend kami ng mama mo. We have still difference and it makes us closer to each other," aniya kay Jill.
Jill love listening to her ninang's story. She loves listening to some tales of her ninang and her mother. Kahit man lang doon ay nabubuhay ang mama niya.
"Sobrang close niyo po pala ano?" ani Jill sa kanyang ninang.
"Of course! Sa sobrang close namin isa't isa. We are almost been issued na mag jowa kami, even though we are both straight and we have boyfriends that time! Sa sobrang close namin ay mas in-una pang sinabi sa akin ni Juls na buntis siya kaysa sa asawa niya."
Nagkakwentuhan pa ang dalawa sa labas. They didn't notice that it is now fully bright outside, and so they decided to go back inside the house and have their breakfast.
They started eating even though without the presence of Jack. Jack is the total opposite of Jill. He is quite not a morning person. Kapag ginigising ito ng sobrang aga ay magkakagulo na.
But not this day, dahil takang tiningnan ni Jill ang bagong gising na si Jack. She is quite surprise, dahil halos anong oras na itong na gigising at hindi sumasabay ito sa kanila sa pagkain.
"Son? Why did you up so early?" taka na tanong ni Anna sa kanyang anak. It is quite unusual. Kaya maski ang mga katulong sa paligid ay na-sorpresa.
"Why? Bawal na po ba?" saad ni Jack. Dinig ni Jill ang iritasyon sa boses ng batang lalaki.
Nagkibit-balikat na lang sila. Jack is still throwing glares to Jill. Jill does not feel comfortable, kaya naman in-ubos na niya ang kanyang kinakain. Her appetite lost in an instant.
"Tapos na po ako. Maraming salamat po sa pagkain," saad ni Jill at saka na umalis. She can see the annoyed face of Jack.
'This brat,' ani ni Jill sa kanyang isipan.
JACK is now looking at Jill's back. He is so annoyed with that girl. Jack cannot understand why he felt so much heartbeats whenever that girl is on his sight. Natatakot siya sa tuwing napakabilis ng pagtibok ng puso niya kapag nakikita niya si Jill.
He cannot admit how pretty Jill's face, that Jill has this normally tantalizing eyes and beautiful face. Naiinis siya kapag may kalaro itong ibang lalaki. So he rather sees Jill alone than playing with other boys.
He is young and cannot interpret his feelings and thoughts well. He is still irrational and he cannot understand all of this things playing on his hearts and mind.
All he thinks is he hates Jillian. Jillian is trying to steal his parents away from him. And he won't let her do do it!
Isang araw ay pumunta ang mga barkada ni Jack sa bahay nila. It composes of young Denver, Brian and Rey kasama si Shina na kapatid ni Brian.
Naiinis sa oras na iyon si Jack. Dahil imbes na sa kanya makipaglaro ang mga kaibigan niya ay mas pinili pa nila na kalaro si Jill. Jack is so mad that time.
That he cannot contain anymore at hinila paalis si Jill.
“Ano ba Jack! Masakit!" reklamo ni Jill ng makalayo na sila. But Jack did not even care.
"Stop stealing my friend! Stop stealing my mother and father! Get out of here! You bastard!" galit na maktol ni Jack.
"I am not stealing anything from you..." mahinang saad ni Jill. Pero ngumisi lang si Jack.
"Oh yeah? You are stealing everything from me! Palibhasa, namatay na ang mama at papa mo!" The next thing Jack did not expect to happen.
Jill slapped him, dama niya ang hapdi sa kanyang pisngi at nakita na niya lang na umiiyak si Jill. That time, Jack felt that unusual guilt. He made Jill cried, but it doesn't feel that he won an argument.
"WALA KANG ALAM!"
