Those Glaring Eyes 

JILL instantly felt the awkwardness as he stood in front of the huge mansion. She is aware that her life won't be the same anymore. Everything has changed since that incident happened.

Dahil sa malagim na aksidente ay naulila si Jill. The memories are still painful for her. It is not easy for someone who lost both the important people in her life. Jill lost her mother and father because of a car accident.

She is nine years old that time. Young and naive and yet she knows that no one will like to adopt her. Both from her mother side and father side don't want to take off her, because of that, Jill felt the instant loneliness that hugged her because of rejection.

Isang linggo pa lang magmula ng mailibing ang kanyang mga magulang. She is young and yet the pain of being left behind is there, lingers on her skin... Destroying her childhood life. Change her from happy and joyful young girl, to an aloof and very quiet Jill.

Ang tanging kumupkop lamang sa kanya ay ang bestfriend ng kanyang yumaong ina, it is no other than Anna Thompson. Ang mabait na babaeng nasa late 20's ang kumupkop sa batang si Jill. Jill instantly felt okay as she learned that she won't go straight to the orphanage, that is like a strut cat waiting to be adopted. She felt a bit lucky after all of those unwanted event...

After two weeks ay narito na si Jill, sa harap ng tahanan ng mga Thompson. It is as big as her old house that got a mortgage. She is not ignorant about wealthy stuff since her late parents are also living in a comfortable life, before that accident happens.

"Pasok ka na ija, sigurado ako na excited ka ng makita ni Jackson. You know my son right? Magkakasundo kayo panigurado..." saad ni Anna kay Jill.

She disagrees using her thoughts. 'As if'... Jillian knows how Jackson hates her. That young guy has this bad blood to her. That boy always hates her. She can see the coming days with lots of arguments with that spoiled young Jackson.

"Ah, sige po tita Anna..." iyon na lang ang nasabi ni Jill mula sa kanyang maliit na boses. She started to walk pass to that humongous gate. Malayo pa lang ay kita na ni Jill ang batang mainit ang dugo sa kanya.

Jackson with his perfect comb hair. He got that stubborn and annoying brat look. He is pouting nonstop and throwing the same dagger stares at her.

Sa isip-isip ni Jill ay nakita na naman niya ang anak ni Satanas. Mabait naman kasi si tita ninang Anna niya pati ang asawa nitong si Tom Thompson. So she cannot decipher where this brat acquired that kind of horn from hell.

"Bakit nandito iyan mom? Dad?" pikang tanong ng batang Jackson sa kanyang mga magulang. Jill have this short yet fast thoughts where does his hate coming?

Sa isip kasi ni Jillian, noon pa man ay walang ginawang atraso si Jill kay Jackson. She tried to be friend that spoiled young boy, pero kay sa demonyo ata itong si Jackson at mainit lagi ang dugo kay Jillian. That is the reason why Jillian is so distant to Jackson since then.

Kita naman ni Jill ang pagluhod ng ninang Anna niya sa harap ni Jackson, para mapantayan nito ang tangkad ng bata.

"Anak? Alam mo naman ang nangyari sa ninang at ninong mo hindi ba? I already told you that," sambit ni ninang Anna sa anak niya. Just those words inflicted pain on the young girl's heart.

"She will be living with us starting today. So I and your dad expect good behavior from your ate Jill. She will be part of our family..." marahan na saad ng ninang Anna ni Jill sa kanyang anak.

Jill expected this to happen. Ang pag-aalboroto ni Jackson sa kanyang mga magulang. Jill knows that this boy will disagree again. She won't remind herself how Jackson hates her, not just her but her whole existence.

"Mom no! Hindi ako papayag! Ayaw ko siyang maging kapatid at mas lalo na ayaw kong makita ang mukha niya! She is unlucky! Baka mamatay rin kayo katulad ng parents niya," ani ng batang Jackson. Those words hit Jill so hard.

She can't contain the pain that she just found herself in tears. Tila hindi rin nagustuhan ni Anna ang nasabi ng anak niya kaya niya nasampal ang anak nito.

Jackson is also shocked that she was slapped by her mom. That things never happened before... It just added fuel to his furious emotion.

"Say sorry to her Jackson! Hindi kita pinalaking bastos at walang modo! Apologize!" ani Anna sa anak niya... But Jackson stubbornly cried.

"No! You hurt me! I hate you mommy!" at saka na pumanhik sa mansyon ang batang si Jackson. Crying and devastated with the outcome of his stubborn action. All of that was witnessed by Jill na pinupunasan na ang kanyang luha

Bumaling naman si Anna kay Jill. with that Apologizing eyes to her. "Pagpasensyahan mo na si Jackson ha? He became so childish since then na na-spoiled na siya namin. Hayaan mo at mapapaamo rin natin iyang anak natin. He is young, and he doesn't know what he is talking about. I hope you didn't feel mad about what he had said... He can be mean and insensitive sometimes," ani ninang Anna kay Jillian.

Jillian had no choice but to be understanding AGAIN. She will be the one to adjust AGAIN. After all she thought that she is just an outcast with this family. She has no one to run and live with. She is totally alone if not for her ninang Anna.

Iginaya na siya ng tito ninong at tita ninang niya sa isang silid. It is just a guest room since under renovation pa ang magiging kwarto ni Jillian.

For Jillian, this small room should suffice. She is not a materialistic girl. She grows contented and happy with every single blessing that will come to her life.

"Pasensya na ija ha? On the meantime, you will stay here. Pero pagkatapos na pagkatapos ng magiging silid mo ay lilipat ka rin doon? Okay?" sambit ng mabait na tito Tom niya.

She nodded with a faint smile. "Okay lang po ako rito. Maraming salamat po sa pagkupkop niyo sa akin," aniya while looking to the two good souls who adopted her.

Anna hugs her, she can feel the genuine kindness of this woman. Sabagay ay bestfriend ni Anna si Jessa since high-school sila. So, Anna felt obligated for her best friend's daughter.

"Ituring mo na ako na parang ina Jill ha? I know I could not equate the love of Jessa to you. Her love as your real mother cannot be replace...  pero huwag mo na kaming ituring na iba,ija. Okay?”
