Chapter 6

Meanwhile at Dark Hollow Pack

Alpha Russell can't help to worry for the woman behind that closed door, over the operation bed fighting her life to survive from the hands of those devils.

He can't help to be confused about what she said, and her intoxicating smell over her abuser's scent in her body. Her word stuck in my mind before she passed out.

Mate!

Something Alpha Russell believed he won't have. From such a young age, his parents informed him that he was cursed by the dark witch. He was still in his mother's womb when the witch said he can't recognize his mate. Then who is she?

Alpha Russell trying to understand what she said. But all sign to know once you meet your mate is there. Her scent was the amazing scent he scented, vanilla and lavender. He felt the spark the moment he touched her.

Though parents told him since he was cursed he cant feel the sign of mate bond. The dark witch block it. So how come he's feeling those in that woman? He is missing something he can't tell what.

"Don't be. She is our mate, I know it." Raven uttered inside his head. His voice was blank and robotic.

Alpha Russell frown on Raven's behavior. His wolf never acted like that till now.

"Are you alright, Raven? Are you sure she's our mate? Dad and mom said..."

"DON'T QUESTION ME! SHE'S OUR MATE!" He shouted in Russell's head using his Alpha voice while glaring at him.

Alpha Russell cringed and shake off his command. He mentally glared at him too.

"No need to shout, Raven. I was only curious. Don't act like an ass right now. And don't use that voice on me." Alpha Russell said coldly to him. Raven glared at him once more before he stays on the dark side of his mind. He's acting odd.

"Are you okay, bro? " his friend asked. He's Alpha Russell's second in command, Beta Marcus. He helped the woman and bring her here to the hospital.

"Find out where she comes from, Marcus. Everything. Keep the rogues alive. I'll deal with them later." Alpha Russell commanded.

"Yes, Alpha!" Beta Marcus bow his head into submission and immediately leave. He discreetly smirks, knowing his plan work.

Alpha Russell took a deep breath as he slams himself on the chair, in the waiting area of the operation room. He did not picture meeting with his mate in this kind of situation.

She looks horrible, broken, bloody, and fragile when Marcus brings her here. Alpha Russell silently thanks Marcus for saving her when she crossed their border, after running from those filthy rogues that kidnapped her.

Fortunately, his beta and some warriors were patrolling when she entered his territory. His warriors fought those rogues and capture a few while his beta brought his mate here to the hospital with the worst condition.

Alpha Russell met them before they could even enter the hospital, and take her on Marcus' grasp when he smells her intoxicating scent. Then he felt a spark when he carried her towards the emergency room. He confirmed who she was to him when she murmured mate before she blackout.

He wants to blame himself for what's happened to his mate. He has been known as powerful Alpha in the realm but he can't even protect his mate. She doesn't deserve to experience those.

Alpha Russell stood up and punched the wall in front of him. Raven surfaces, letting him known his rage because of what happened with his mate.

Panic erupted in the building. His warriors are trying to calm him down but he didn't stop until he feels his anger lessens.

Alpha Russell sees the crack on the wall and feels the vibration of the impact around me. Yet he ignores them and sits again in the chair.

He promises himself, they will pay for what they did to his mate. Every rogue that touched her will be hunted down. He is Russell Redwood. Alpha of Dark Hollow Pack will be their nightmare.

"Brother, are you okay?" Alpha Russell's sister asked worriedly. He took a deep breath to calm himself then he looked at her.

His sister looked at him with understanding. She is the only one that could sympathize with him now. Their parents are in the meeting with the Royals of different kingdoms.

Alpha Russell motioned for her to come to him, his sister did not hesitate and quickly hugged him. His baby sister is 10 years younger than him. The princess of their family and the pack.

Rose Marie Redwood is a miracle child, unexpected. Their parents thought that they would not have any more children because of what happened to her brother. Their parents had lost hope of having more children.

Others think their mother became barren because of the curse. So when their parents announced that there was pregnant, the pack celebrated her pregnancy. Their mother told her, almost have a miscarriage, though. She stays bed reddened until she gave birth with her.

"I'm good now, Princess." Alpha Russell kissed her hair. "What are you doing here anyway?"

"To stay with you. Beta Marcus said you found your mate but she is injured. I'm sure she's strong, bro, especially now that she has you." Rose answered.

Alpha Russell hopes so too. Even though he accepted before, that he won't find his mate, he is still hoping that someday their path will cross. He didn't think, it will happen today, at the wrong time.

"Mom and dad will be happy if they find out this brother," Rose exclaimed.

"I know they will, Princess. Thank you for coming here." Alpha Russell softly answered her.

Only with his family, Alpha Russell shows some real emotion. Towards the pack, he is always civil to his pack members. He has been known as ruthless when it comes to leadership.

Alpha Russell leads his pack with strict rules. Ruthless to those who disobeyed the law and did crimes. He's killing rogues that creating havoc in his pack but spear the others if they just passing through. He uses an iron fist only if necessary, something that the other pack doesn't know about.

"Alpha! "

Alpha Russell stand up and immediately strengthen up when they saw the pack doctor call him. From the doctor's expression, it didn't go well. Raven becomes alert in his mind too.

Tension filled around them.

Alpha Russell stares at the doctor. He gulps and clears his throat.

"We did our best, Alpha. We patch and stitch every wound in her body especially that deep wound, but there's only a 30 percent chance she will survive. Her wolf can't help her to heal because of the silver and wolfbane in her body."

Alpha Russell growls loudly when he heard the news. Silver and wolfbane are components that are very dangerous to werewolves. Those can kill them.

Raven is growling in his head too. Wanted to shift and attack the doctor but Russell manages to control him.

"Is there anything we can do, Doc?" His sister asked.

Their pack doctor, John nodded.

"There is a way, Princess." He said and face his Alpha. "Is it true, Alpha, that she is your mate?"

Frowning, Alpha Russell nodded.

"Maybe if you mark her, it will speed up her healing process and make her wolf surface, Alpha. They are both weak, right now. If we won't do something after 24 hours, we will lose her." The doctor explained.

Alpha Russell relives that there's hope but there's also a nagging feeling in the back of his mind. Before, he told himself that he will only mark his mate once they know each other enough to take the next step in their life, for her to become a Luna of their pack ... not in this kind of circumstance.

He sighed while the pack doctor and his sister are waiting for his decision.

But this is life and death situation, Alpha Russell wasn't ready to lose her yet, and if marking her will bring her back to life then he will do it.

"Mark her! NOW!" Raven demanded, growling in Russell's mind.

"Take me to her." Alpha Russell commanded. Ignoring the warning that was still in the back of his mind.
