“DADDY, can you show us your magic?”
“Magic?”
“Yes! You’re a wizard right? You know magic and spells!”
“Ahhh y-yeah but I can’t do it here, son.”
“Why?”
Tumikhim ako at tuluyan nang pumasok sa loob para matigil na sila Jake sa pangungulit kay Yuan. Baka kung anong kalokohan pa ang ipakita niya sa mga anak ko kung ipilit nila Blake na mag-magic siya.
Hindi naman siya magikero.

“Momma! What took you so long?”
“Kids, you two should sleep. Sabi ni Doc Arvie once maubos na iyang dextrose nyo pwede ko na kayong iuwi.”
“But we are not sleepy pa, Momma.”
“Momma, why are you wearing sunglasses?”
Napahawak ako sa shades na suot-suot ko at inakbayan si Jake. “Momma’s eyes are hurt from the light.”
“Why does it hurt?”
