16. Awkward moments

"Okay guys, show's over." I stared up at Luc, watching him quickly drape his black dress jacket over my shoulders, covering my almost naked body from the guys view. "Thank you,” I whispered in a small voice, giving him alight smile,"Now, can you please turn around?" I nicely asked though fidgeting in my spot a little bit uneasy, earning a confused stare from him, raising one eyebrow, so I pointed down on the floor at the briefs pooling at my ankles. Following my pointing, he then made an 'o' shape with his mouth in understanding, quickly turning around to give me some privacy, also covering me from the guys’ view at the same time, so I hurried and dragged them back up my hips, then grabbed my mug and ran to sit on a stool at the counter to make sure they won't fall off again. "Are you ok now?" I heard him ask so I gave a slow nod, keeping my gaze down on my mug, too embarrassed to even look at any of them after that awkward moment. "Good. Then after you finish your breakfast I'll send Raph here with you to buy some clothes,” He stated, making me suddenly raise my gaze straight towards him, "What? No! I don't have any-" "I know," He quickly interrupted me,"That's why I'm lending you my shopping card. You can buy whatever you want,” He explained so calmly, giving me a light smile. "No,” I shook my head with disapproval,"I can't do that. I've taken enough advantage of your kindness already,” I stated, lowering my gaze back to my mug. Fuck...I should've taken my wallet yesterday when I left from home. "Please, it would be my pleasure. You could repay me later,if it bothers you that much.Plus, you can't just walk around wearing Raz's clothes..." He added, my cheeks starting to turn red again as I remembered I was still wearing Azrael's shirt and briefs -by the way, either he really has a big ass, or maybe I'm just like, extremely tiny... "Unless...you...like that, of course, which would be very-" "Ok! Ok! I'll do it!" I quickly stopped him before he could finish that sentence,"Just...shut up already..." I rudely mumbled, lowering my gaze back to the marble counter, earning an amused chuckle from him. Jeez...I've had embarrassed myself enough these past two days...I really didn't need another awkward moment. Speaking of... "Hey, Azrael..." I spoke in a small voice, drawing his attention, timidly raising my sight to look at him, immediately regretting when I did."I'm really sorry for..." I mumbled uneasy, searching the right words, only it was really hard since his haunting eyes were intently trained on mine, not giving me a single break. "I didn't know that was your room...So if you want it back, I could um...you know..." I awkwardly scratched the back of my neck, feeling my face already getting hot from the intensity of his stare, quickly lowering my gaze back on my already cold coffee. "It's ok...I don't mind,” His deep, slightly rusty voice drew my attention, daring me to look back into those deep blue irises. "But still, I'm gonna need my clothes back,” He then said in a plain, serious tone and I quickly nodded. "Sure,” I let out a small, uneasy chuckle, finding the patterns on the marble counter rather interesting. I then heard his footsteps retreating, exiting the kitchen, finding myself exhaling a long, audible breath I didn't knew I was holding. Leila The faint light peeked from between the curtains, gingerly caressing my cheek and I slowly fluttered my eyelids open, taking in my surroundings, looking at a very familiar living room that definitely wasn't mine. How the hell did I end up in here? I tried to get up, faintly remembering the last night events after we left Lucifer's house and Rick drove us to his, practically begging me to stay with him for a drink.I suddenly felt something warm restraining my movements, securely wrapped around my waist, tightly holding me in place, so I looked down, gasping in utter shock and confusion once I finally noticed the supposed"restrain". There was a muscular, bare arm resting on my abdomen, its slender fingers softly digging in my bare skin where my tank top had slightly ridden up. Feeling the warm, steady breath lightly fanning on my shoulder I slowly turned my head to the side, only to be welcomed by a very sexy, yet innocent sight. His dirty blonde hair looked heavily ruffled, like he had ran his fingers through it a million times, his eyelids peacefully closed shut, his thin, perfect pink lips slightly curled up into a light smile, seemingly having pleasant dreams. I let out a small sigh, silently admiring those perfect, masculine features. As innocent as he looked right now, I knew it too damn well that he was far from it when wide awake. Still, as cruel, or mean, or psychotic -like his sister likes to call him- he could be, I simply couldn't stop from being so damn attracted to him... It felt like craving for that pump of adrenaline, even if your life was in pure danger... "Leila..." His deep, husky morning voice suddenly pulled me out of my drifting thoughts, my heart doing a flip-flop at the sound of my name rolling off his tongue, his honey brown irises now focusing on my face, making my cheeks burn in embarrassment at the sudden realization of our close proximity. "H-hi,” I awkwardly stuttered, pulling out a light smile, struggling to calm down my building nervousness. "Mm...What time is it?" He mumbled in a groggy voice, slowly trying to get up, but as soon as he did, he instantly moaned in pain, crashing right back on the couch pillow, right next to me. "Oh God...I think I had a little too many bourbon glasses last night..." He mumbled, letting out a small chuckle, rather sounding like he was in pain, resting his palm on his forehead. "Yeah...something like that..." I sheepishly approved, letting out a humorless chuckle, remembering how he continuously poured himself glass after glass, cursing and beating himself up over and over again for saying those hurtful words to his baby sister. "I've screwed up, Leila. I've seriously screwed up.I know she's not that type of girl...I know she would never do that...And yet...I still can't understand, why? Why would she do something like that?" He twirled the glass in his hands, staring at the floor with a deep frown plastered all over his chiseled features. "Maybe she had a serious reason for doing that, you know?" I casually suggested, remembering what she said to me hours ago in that room. "Fuuck...I should've let her explain..." He muttered, nervously running a hand through his soft silky hair. Yeah, I don't think she could actually do that without you losing your s**t and shoot the poor guy... "By the way...I'm sorry for forcing you to stay here for the night..." His deep, husky voice pulled me out of my thoughts and I turned my head to the side, giving him a light smile. "It's ok...You had a serious reason, after all." "Yeah...speaking of...What the hell am I going to do now? She'll probably hate me for the rest of her life for this..." He mumbled mostly to himself,"Hell, she might even never come back to this house..." Hearing those sad words escaping his lips, I suddenly sat up, facing him,"Hey, don't say that. You know she loves you, no matter what. You're her brother after all, her only family. You know she can't stay mad at you for too long, no matter what you do. You just have to give her some space, for now,” I suggested, noticing how his features softened, almost staring at me in awe for some unknown reason until I heard him say,"How do you always know what to say?" It sounded more like a statement than a question and without a single warning, his muscular arms went around my small torso, crushing me in a tight embrace, the scent of his spicy cologne invading my senses, making me feel dizzy, my skin burning wherever it made contact with his.
