Chapter 10 Bonnie’s taxi pulls up in front of Julia’s house. The cab driver turns around and asks for payment, but Bonnie asks for a moment. The car idles while Bonnie shifts in her seat. Bonnie looks up at the house and—at first—nothing appears to be out of the ordinary, but when Bonnie’s eyes move up towards the upstairs windows, she notices that the blinds are up and Jessica is sitting, watching the taxi cab. Her eyes are transfixed. Bonnie raises her hand and waves to Jessica, but she stays motionless. This motionlessness concerns Bonnie, yet she pays the driver and gets out of the car anyway.
