Two Weeks Later
Binoculars pierced through the early morning sun to view the burnt remnants of the two villas where disaster struck earlier in the year. The observer could see a group of people amassing near the front of the villa where the Lemans family stayed when vacationing at the Regal Wisteria Wailea resort. An off-duty police officer and a firefighter were present for safety reasons. Onlookers gawked at those interested in the villa, unaware of the true purpose behind their visit. Resort employees, who were instructed not to disturb any of these “special guests”, were busy going about their day delivering food, towels, and other services the resort’s high-end customers desired at any moment of the day.
Crouching near a large tree, the observer watched from afar.
