Honolulu, Hawaiʻi One Month Later When Ed Steinmann opened the double glass doors to the entry pavilion of the Prince Kūhiō Federal Building, the morning sun glowed throughout the pavilion leading to the eight federal courtrooms comprising the United States District Court for the District of Hawaiʻi. He smiled at the familiar scenery and took a deep breath. Being in court was something Ed always enjoyed. It felt like a home away from home. Excitedly turning to Daniel Mendoza, Ed said, “Bro, you look great in an Aloha shirt. A good choice too.” Daniel’s Aloha shirt featured hibiscus and fern in a bright, deep blue color. “I’m glad you took my advice.” Looking somewhat dumbfounded, Daniel replied, “I’m just not accustomed to going to court casually dressed, especially federal court.
