Chapter : 4. Personal invitation..

Triplet’s point of view :-

“Hey. The invitation came from the Spirit Lotus Pack. The hunting game is on Saturday.”

All three of us brothers are sitting in our office, going through all the paperworks when Delvin mentioned the upcoming hunting game in one of the prime packs. We get an invitation every month and had to send some in the month we are assigned to organize it in our pack. So, it was not anything special for us.

“Give it to Tyler. He will take care of everything as usual.”

Tyler is our beta, and he is the one who handles the duty of presenting our pack into the hunting games. He takes our boys to the assigned packs and returns with the prizes safely. Us three alphas, on the other hand, never join any of the games or even think about participating, even though we are single.

“This one’s special. This invitation is for us. Hear this.

Dear Alphas of Oceans Howl pack,

On behalf of the Spirit Lotus Pack, I, alpha Elijah Francis, invite the powerful and honorary alphas, alpha Dedrick, Delvin and Donnell Remington, along with their pack members, into the upcoming hunting game of our pack. The event will be held on this Saturday 25th of November at noon. It is my humble request to the triplet alphas to be present at the game on that day. I would be honored if the alphas will spare some of their time to my personal request. Your presence is very important to me and our pack. Please..” Delvin read the content of the letter to us, making us amazed.

“Personal request? What does that mean?” Donnell was confused about what alpha Elijah wants to say in the letter. So, I cleared it up for him.

“He wants us three to be there at that day for some personal reasons. We just have to find out what it is.”

“And to do that, we have to go there that day.” Delvin cleared the rest.

“But we don’t go to hunting games. Everyone knows that. Then why did he invite us like that? He could have called us some other day or perhaps come here if he had something to say. There’s no way we are going, right?” Donnell is right, but I don’t think we have a choice this time.

“We have to go. Spirit Lotus Pack is the most sacred prime pack among all. The rate of their birth and womans, are significantly higher than any other packs. Going against the wishes of their alpha and turning them into our enemy will be a stupidity. If he is requesting us so desperately, it will be something very important.”

“I agree with you. We should make an exception this time and go there to check what he wants to say. Maybe it will be something for our profit. We should keep this invitation.”

“Well, let’s go then.” We all finally came to the decision that we will be joining this month’s hunting game after years.

Yes, years. It’s been three years or more since we stopped going to any hunting games. We stopped right after the death of our mate. Our destined mate. Yes, we found our destined mate without having to participate in a game. But unfortunately we lost her very soon.

We lost our mother the day we were born. She brought a miracle into the earth by giving birth to the first triplet alphas in a century. But she didn’t make it out alive. We were raised by our father, but we also lost him when we were only sixteen. It was really hard for us brothers to overcome it all and take control of the pack as its alphas. At one time, it came to a point when any one of us was going to take the leadership. But it was impossible to judge who it would be because all three of us brothers are different in our own way, but together we were the strongest.

I am the more silent and serious one among us three. Delvin is the voice of us triplets and the thoughtful one. And Donnell is the most active and energetic one. When all three of us brothers are together, no one can compare our strength. So, we finally came to a decision that there won’t be any one leader. All three of us will be, to rule our pack as one. So, we became the triplet alphas of Oceans Howl Pack.

When we were nineteen, we went to a hunting game with our pack’s single males, but we were still not the age to participate. We didn’t had to come to that age because before we become twenty, we found our destined mate at that game. A simple girl of a prime pack. She came into our life as a blessing. We loved her a lot and even after waiting for three years when she didn’t conceive; it didn’t break us. Instead, we were happy that we will at least have her for all our life and enjoyed every moment together.

But the happiness didn’t last long as we finally got her pregnant. It was a different joy on its own. The thought of becoming a father was something unexplainable. We were beyond happy. But not for long because like our mother, she also died during childbirth. And to make it worse, we also lost our baby.

That incident broke our hearts, and we accepted that this is the curse that the moon goddess gave us specifically. We are not meant to have a family except each other. So, we gave up on the thought of having someone as our own. We gave up on the thought of having a mate beside us. We know that no matter who we bring into our life, they will end up dead like the rest of our family. We accepted our loveless life.

We did go to a few hunting games after that, but never participated in one. But every time we did, people tried to convince us to participate and choose a mate for us. For them, we were too young to give up. But we know what will be the result of accepting another mate. We didn’t want another girl to die because of us. So, instead of continuing or thinking about their suggestion, we stopped going to any games. We gave that responsibility to our beta while we stayed back in our pack, protecting it from any possible danger.

It’s been three years since we last went to any game. But now it seems like we have to attend to another one just to keep our alleys close. We knew it would be awkward for us because others are going to think that we finally changed our mind and went there to participate in the game to find a mate. But the truth is, we will never forget our lost mate and never replace her with another.

Soon it came the day of the hunting game and we head out to the Spirit Lotus Pack along with our single boys who will be participating in it. They weren’t many participants, so we only took three cars. In one was us brothers, along with our beta, while the other two were for our boys.

As we reached that pack after three long years, it seemed so different from before. The air in here was different. It was pure and energetic. We couldn’t find anything changed, but our soul seems to have gotten lighter and pure the moment we stepped out of the car. No wonder why they call this pack the purest.

As we came out of the car, the first thing we noticed was alpha Elijah standing a few feet away from us with his beta and another young girl who was wearing sports wear. It was odd for a girl to wear those clothes in such a day. But my eyes weren’t stuck on her clothes. It was stuck on her beauty. Her hair was tightly tied up in a braid, hiding a lot of her real beauty. But still, she was probably the most gorgeous girl I have ever seen. Her bright skin, her perfect figure, and her glowing blue eyes were attracting me towards her. Who is this goddess like beauty?

“Are you looking at the same girl as we are?” Donnell came beside me along with Delvin, taking me out of my trance.

“Yes. Who is she?”

“She’s the daughter of alpha Elijah. She will be participating in this year’s hunting game.” Tyler gave us our answer, but all three of us looked at his face in shock.

“She’s participating? In those clothes?” We all watched as she walked away from her father to get ready for the game. That is one strange girl the alpha got. Very weird.

Once she was gone, us brothers went to talk to the alpha while our beta went to take our boys to get ready. He also stepped forward to us to welcome.

“Alphas. I am glad that you kept my request. You have no idea how much this means to me. Welcome. Welcome to our little pack.”

“Is everything okey, Alpha Elijah? You requested us to come personally? You know we don’t join the games. So?” Delvin stepped forward to discuss the matter on our behalf.

“I know. And I am sorry for this. If it wasn’t about the most important thing of my life, then I wouldn’t have bothered you with this. Please forgive me for this inconvenience.”

“It’s okey. But can you be more specific about what you want to say? What is the matter?” He took a big sigh before speaking up.

“You see that girl over there? That’s my daughter Amelia. She just turned eighteen this year and will be participating in this hunting game. She is the only family I have and I love her a lot. She’s special. Not only for me, but for the entire werewolf kind. She’s our princess. But now, I want her to be your queen. I want her to become your mate because only you three can help her with her mission. She needs you. We all need you.” Now I understand where that girl got her weirdness from. I couldn’t understand a word he just said except that he wants us to participate in the game and take his daughter as our mate. We looked at each other’s face before Delvin spoke up again.

“We don’t understand what you meant, but we can tell you that we are not here to participate in the hunting game. We are not here to find a mate. Sorry for refusing your offer.”

“I wish I can tell you everything to make you understand. But I can’t. I can only beg you to save my daughter. I need your help to protect her. She needs your support to go forward. Please. Please consider it once. You will soon find out why I am asking for your help. Trust me. This is very important for the entire werewolf kind. Make her your mate. Make her your queen. Please.” I don’t know why he kept saying to make her our queen. What does that even mean?

“We are very sorry, but we can’t help you. You should find someone else for your daughter. We are not accepting a mate. Not now, not ever.” His face became full of fear when we refused his request. I can’t believe he called us here to offer us his daughter. What was he thinking?

“Don’t worry about your daughter, Elijah. I will take care of her. I will make her my mate.” A sudden deep voice startled us all. All of a sudden, the surrounding air changed into heaviness and sadness, completely opposite of what we were feeling till now. The darkness. It’s coming in our way.
