9. Arguing with the door!

* edited * He didn't? He always loved messing with me. Maybe I'll do just the same. "Of course you didn't" I chuckled, trying my best to put some space between us. He's breaching my personal space! Tell him that it's a crime and I can put him behind bars for that. Well that got a little, teensy bit exaggerated. He rose a brow. Once more he does that, I'll pluck his eyebrows off! Though he looked so ravishing. "I threatened a man, threw him out of his own car and I came here, driving that very car." I snickered. "How did-" he paused to take a good look at me "-you manage to threaten a man?" Okay he is underestimating me right now. "And looking like that" he let out an amused chuckle. "You can stop acting now" I sang, trying to hide the anger bubbling up inside me. Deep inside me. Which may surface any minute now. He rose a brow. Again. I'll pluck it off the next time he does that. "Why are you so damn annoying?" I groaned, pushing him backwards. He stumbled a little, but got a grip of himself very soon. He pulled me close to him by my hips. Instinctively I slapped my hands on his chest, breathing somewhat ragged. "I like the way you pout when you get annoyed." I don't pout! I'm not a kid. "And even more so when I know I am the reason." Great going buddy! "I don't care" I struggled to get out of his grip but failed. Miserably. He rested his forehead on mine and trust me that sensation was worth dying for. My eyes blinked shut and I breathed slowly. Hold on a second! I was supposed to be angry with this guy! He abandoned me. He hadn't expected it and when I pushed him back, he almost fell. Almost is the keyword we cannot ignore. "You abandoned me!" I hissed. "In the middle of nowhere. How could you?!" I fisted my hands and hit him as I hard as I could. It is pretty safe to tell that it had no effect on him. None at all. "I came back" was his pathetic reply. "You mean you sent a random person to help me." "I.." "You couldn't even do it yourself." "Will you shut up" Sounded more like an order to me. "Of course not!" I hissed. "I didn't send anyone to get you." Ah the liar! He is pretty scared if you ask me. Look at how he covers up. Nothing visible on that flawless face! "Are we done with this?" I was really getting annoyed. Though the thought of making him accept the fact that he had sent someone to help me and not come himself, was tempting, I didn't care! "I am serious." "First- " I jabbed my finger into his chest "- you dare to leave me there." "Second-" two fingers poking into his chest "- you didn't even have the guts to come and get me yourself." He stayed extremely silent. And that was totally skeptical. "Third-" three fingers now "- gather up some courage and be a man enough to accept that" I finished. He leaned in swiftly but with expertise, his lips an inch away from mine. I curled my fingers that were jabbing him around his collar, pulling him closer. He easily maintained the distance not moving an inch. I groaned softly, urging him to kiss me. I tugged him closer and he pulled back, just enough to maintain the same distance. I know I whined and I also know that I am going to regret that later, but right now, I needed him. He smirked, pulling back. My jaw. That thing which I call my jaw, hit the ground! Well not practically. I hate him so much right now! "First" he started. "you got out of the car willingly." I rolled my eyes. "Second, I did come, only to find you gone." "You expect me to be there, waiting for you, twenty thousand years after you left me there?" "Why do you have to always.." "I am leaving" I said, pushing him as I walked ahead, not once turning back. And of course, Adrian did not like that.In a second my back was pressed against his study table. And the next, I was sitting on it and with his files laying on the ground. I looked at him, gulping as I did. "I did come and you were not there." I did not reply to him as I was busy thinking about a mirror. Can someone not hand me a mirror? I hope I don't look too flushed. Ah there! Thank you mate for showing me how crimson my cheeks are. "I had to literally search the.." "For me?" I asked, my lips curved at the thought. Though he thinks I walked away from him, he cares. For me. Time to smile like the Cheshire cat! "No, not for you. But for the only thing capable and deserving of being kept in a museum, under the tag 'utterly useless' , the thing in your head" he said, tapping my forehead slightly. My brain? MY BRAIN "Both of us know I am the smartest you have ever met!" "Let's not kid ourselves" he chuckled, making me want to rip his hair out. Maybe not, I couldn't imagine a bald Adrian. I slapped his chest. I love doing that if you haven't noticed yet. And I will jump at every chance I would get, to do just that. "Whose car was it?" Someone is getting serious now. "Why should I tell you?" I folded my hands across my chest. "You know better." And with that, his hands were on my hips, pulling me to the edge of the table. I don't know when he parted my legs, but he stood in between, his hands slowly moved to my back. I sucked in a breath. "Hm?" he prompted, his hands dug into my flesh, not in a painful way though. I bit back a whimper. He roughly pulled me closer by my hips, making me gasp. "I don't know" I whispered. I was clinging to him and that was all I could think about. "Whose car?" he asked again, very very seductively that is. I shook my head. "I really don't know" I said and he moved back. I instantly missed his warmth. He is playing with my mind constantly and I am not even able to do anything. He popped one button of his shirt open. I know he is trying to seduce me but I am strong. Very strong. I crossed my feet and leaned back, my hands supporting me. He rose a brow. I thought you were going to pull his eyebrows off? Next time. Just remind me. "Tell me you didn't send the guy" I dared him. "I didn't" his shirt fell to the ground. Again, he has to learn not to put his shirt down. "Enough already" I groaned. "I know you sent him and that is fine." He pulled out his phone, calling out an address as he massaged his temples. I couldn't resist the urge to do it myself. He always said it helped him with stress he used to go through. My fingers brushed his as I gently moved them in a circular motion. A small smile touched his lips. He nodded as he ended the call. "What recording?" I asked, as he made me stand in front of him. "Street cameras" he said simply as though he was saying he was going to get a recording from his phone. "What?" He didn't bother to reply. See, before he was always bubbly and talkative. Now he can be described as the angry young man, well silent and mysterious type of a person. "You really didn't send the man, did you?" It clicked now. It wasn't Adrian who had sent the man. This is truly creeping me out right now. If it wasn't Adrian, who was it? That person had not talked to me on the phone. If it was Adrian, he definitely would have. My phone vibrated in my pocket and I pulled it out. Reached home safe sweet heart? You drove carefully and without speeding, isn't it? and try not to block this number.
