Look at the guy, in the grey sweatshirt. His brown hair ruffled, laughing as he is speaking to the girl in the red dress. He's Jeremy.
His hands snaking around her waist and she is shaking her head, see.
"Stop Jeremy, I am not.." the girl is desperately trying to pull back without hurting him.
"Oh come on now, why so shy sweet heart" he is chuckling, tugging her along.
Can you see how annoyed the girl is?
She is about to lose her patience anytime now. Ah and there goes the slap.
And one minor detail. The girl in the red dress, is me.
aaahaaa Flashback over aaahaaa
The above aha at the sides are designs to indicate a separation and for the dramatic feel.
Lame I know.
We all know how fast rumours spread in high school. Faster than forest fire.
And after that, Jeremy spread rumours, saying that we both were dating.
At first I decided to ignore it and him. But you know when it reaches a certain level, you ought speak.
But what did I do?
I didn't speak.
My friend ensured she had recorded, without my knowledge to be honest, when I was yelling at Jeremy in the corridor.
And the video, oh my, spread faster than the rumours.
I know it was horrible to have done that. My yelling can be justified to an extent but not the recording I know.
I did end up apologizing to Jeremy, because I did feel really bad they way he was trolled afterward.
Let's say I didn't talk to my friend for a while and he had said that he did only what Jeremy deserved.
One minor detail again, Jeremy had apparently told people that I would occasionally warm his bed.
Yep!
That was the only recent dramatic event that had taken place.
I'm really reconsidering going to Adrian's place. Not that I am not excited about it, it's just that I find it quite unacceptable of him to leave me stranded!
Call me dramatic all you want, but I was freaking out!
Not every time will something like this happen, where a guy magically gives you his car keys.
It was his freaking car!
I'm sure as hell not going back to Dylan right now, might as well go and annoy Adrian.
Remind me to ask what he had told my brother that had him agree to this!
Ah! Now the roads are familiar. That's what I am talking about!
I honk for as long as I can, trying to irritate the hell out of the not so friendly security guard, remember the one that had a scowl.
"Oi! Stop that will you?" he growled as he opened the grand gates of the Miller's house, still not letting me in.
I blinked. Where do I park this car? Well of course it's Adrian's, but where the hell is the parking.
I have to stop swearing. I use that a lot don't I?
"Where do I park the car?" I asked him. He shook his head, eyeing the beauty I was driving.
"Who are you?" he asked, settling his gaze on me. Well who was I?
The person who is going to argue to the moon and back if he didn't let me in.
"That girl" he suddenly seemed to recognise.
Oh what timing!
He scurried to the small cubicle at the side, dialling a number on the phone.
Time for an eye roll.
Does he have to be so irritating?
Sometimes I think I ought not to be as rude as I am. But in this case, he was the one who started annoying me and it's only right he gets it back.
Every action has an equivalent reaction.
One of the Newton's law I suppose.
The one I had easily forgotten, I just didn't remember it.
So simple, maybe that is the reason I didn't think of it.
"Go inside" he came.
Maybe I should try. A small smile would be a good start perhaps.
I smiled brightly at him. Why not add a thank you.
"Thanks" I said, looking at him, waiting for a reply.
He smiled. So wonderful I tell you.
Fooled myself and you!
Another scowl was all I got from him.
At least I tried. I'm not feeling that ounce of guilt anymore. Good to be rid of it.
I got out of the car and he looked surprised. I held the keys in my hand as I approached him.
I'm sure you would have guessed it by now.
Serves him right doesn't it? I tried being sweet and he didn't reciprocate.
"Park the car."
Ooh the swag. I just love myself.
The sea of trees looked different in daylight. It looked a lot more happy and less creepy sounds.
It was a jolly time, walking through them and there! I finally spotted the main door.
Thud!
I looked back to find a squirrel. I was always fond of squirrels.
It looked up at me, its nose twitching. I could see it was in dismay. I took a step towards it and it scrambled backwards.
Wow! I'm only trying to help here.
"It's okay, I am only going to help you" I smiled warmly as I slowly went closer.
The squirrel wouldn't have stayed where it was if its tiny foot hadn't been wounded.
I felt really uneasy about the situation. How will I be able to help without hurting it further?
"There" I gently picked it up after it gave up trying to run away from me.
"You are going to be perfectly fine" I smiled, trying not to look creepy.
I don't know how it sees me.
A giant, trying to kill it or something. But I thought I made it clear that I only wanted to help.
I was shaking slightly as I stood on my toes I realised it wants to go back up. Might as well just help it.
Look! It has a family up there. I stretched my hand and tried reaching the branch.
It sounds hilarious I agree. But I tried. The trees weren't that high, I don't exactly know what to call these.
They were between trees and shrubs. I mean much taller than shrubs, but not as tall as a normal tree.
The squirrel hopped on to the nearest branch and made its way higher up to its place.
I was suddenly turned around and met by black eyes that seemed to burn with anger.
Ladies and gentlemen, I take great pleasure in presenting to you Mr. Adrian Miller.
He didn't waste a second in pulling me into the house. I was dragged up to the study and he still hadn't said anything.
The door went shut and he was like a whirlwind, here and there, everywhere.
"Stop" I told him, he stopped pacing around the study and came to stand in front of me.
"You.." he breathed heavily, appearing like a raged bull.
"What is wrong with you?" I asked. Why was he so angry? I couldn't get the head or tail of it.
"How dare you?" his voice was a mere whisper but it was dangerous nonetheless.
"What?" I asked, trying to make him look at me.
"Was this your plan?" he walked menacingly.
With every step he took forward, I took one backward.
Trust me I've been with this guy for long enough time to know when to steer clear of him.
"Was it a joke for you?" he asked again. I gulped, shaking my head, not knowing why. Not knowing what he was even talking about.
"I had to search every god damn road for you!"
Why?
"You are insane then. You sent me a car and asked me to come home, that's what I did" I told him.
He rose a brow.
"You sent me a car" I stressed.
"I didn't."
