(Madison POV)
I frowned as I looked at my lunch. Sighing I got up and walked to the trash can.
I was not feeling hungry anymore.
I brought my mother's and sister's lunch and made my way up.
Today Dr. Isaac didn't accompany me for lunch.
Why do you ask? Well, he is having lunch with that Blondie Katherine.
Don't get me wrong. He did ask me and I did say yes but I have no choice. I wouldn’t mind if it was someone else too. I mean the moment I said it ok, she had this smile of victory and I didn't like it at all.
"You are back from lunch early," Vanessa asked as she took one of the lunch plates from my hand.
"Yes, I am," I said as I placed mom's plate on the desk.
"What happened," she asked frowning as I sighed.
"Nothing much. You guys eat, I need to go and once again talk to the reception for the room" I said as she nodded.
I walked to the reception and mentally danced when I saw it was a nice nurse.
"Hey, Maam. We have booked for a room needed for transferring my father who is right now in the ICU" I said as she nods and types something on the computer.
"His name?" she asked as she looked up at me with a small smile.
"Anderson" I replied as she nodded and typed in the computer.
"Oh yes. Your room is ready. Dr. Isaac has already confirmed and arranged everything" she said as I looked at her shocked.
I also notice that I am not the only one who is surprised. The nice nurse stared at me for a few minutes as if she was confused.
"Oh... Um, thank you ma'am" I said as I walked back to the room with a fast beating heart.
"No... No... I am sure he always arrange for all his patients. He is a very responsible doctor" I said to myself and sighed tapping my chest with my fist.
"Calm down," I said to myself.
"Calm down?" a familiar voice came making me jumps a step back in shook.
"Doctor Isaac," I said as I looked up at him. He gave me a very handsome smile and walked to me.
"Hello, Madison. I went to the room and they told you went down to reception" he said as I nod.
"Yes I was just confirming papa's room," I said as he nods his head.
"I see. I have arranged for everything. As soon as I finish my rounds and checkups we will transfer him to the room" he said as I smiled wide.
"Thank you so much, Doctor," I said as he grins and leaned down.
"My pleasure," he said as I blush. I noticed how his eyes momentarily went to my lips and then back to my eyes. He immediately moved back and cleared his throat.
"I will see you after my rounds," he said as I nod. He walked past and I turned to see him stop.
"Oh. Madison" he called as he turned to me.
"Yea?" I asked as he scratched the back of his neck.
"I hope you will forgive me for making you eat alone. I didn't want to" he said as my eyes widen.
"No no it is ok! I am not sad or anything" I said as he nods.
"If you say so," he said with a frown turning back.
"Well then I will see you later," he said as I smiled and waved.
"Ok doctor," I said but I paused as I heard him say the next sentence.
"I saw you angrily trash your food on the trash and walked off," he said and I turned to look at him shocked. But he just waved his hand and continued walking.
Heat rose on my face as I groaned and covered my face.
Oh my god! He saw!
I stood on the corridor for God knows how long blushing like hell. The people and the doctors looked at me weirdly but I was too busy being embarrassed.
I slowly made way to the room. There was no one inside and I knew they went to the ICU.
I quickly went and took a shower. I hate hospital bathroom but I kind of have no choice unless I like to be stinky.
After I dress and put on my jeans and top I made way to the ICU. I was surprised when I saw the doctor talking to mom and sister.
"Hello Doctor," I said smiling as he turned to me.
"Hello Madison," he said with his usual handsome smile.
"They are transferring Papa to the room as we speak," Vanessa said as my eyes widen.
"Thank you!" I said as I turned to Doctor Isaac.
"He is a strong man just like you," he said as I put his hand on my head and ruffled making me blush and smile.
On the corner, I saw Vanessa giggle and I glared at her before looking at Doctor Isaac.
A nurse came out of the ICU and whispered something to the Doctor to which he nodded.
"He is perfectly settled in the room. Let's go" he said as he walked forward. All three of us followed him and we had to go up to the 6th floor.
I gaped as we entered the room. I swear the other rooms are not granted like this. I mean there are actually 2 extra beds other than the patient.
"Sweetheart!" papa's voice rose as a huge smile broke in my face.
"Papa!!!" I said as I ran to him. I hug him carefully so I won't hurt him.
"I missed you," I said as he smiled and kissed my forehead.
"I missed you too. And you too Vanessa" he said as he hugged my sister and patted her stomach lightly.
Mom was crying in the corner and after papa consoled her, Dr. Isaac looked walked forward.
"Mr. Anderson, you look healthy," he said as papa smiled at him.
Dr. Isaac started to do check up on him as he simultaneously asks questions. Once he was done he smiled.
"You are getting more and more healthy. Just take care of yourself. A healthy diet, small non-exerting exercise like brisk walking, and finally no stress. You will have to stay in the hospital for some more time" he said as we all nodded.
"Alright then. I will see you all tomorrow" he said as he took his clipboard from the table.
"I have changed a few medicines and the nurse will come and explain it to you all," he said as he started to scribble open it.
"Thank you, doctor," Papa said as he smiled and nodded.
"It is my job, Mr. Anderson." He said before he walked out.
But before he stepped out, our eyes met momentarily and my heart skipped a beat as he smiled a truly genuine one.
