(Isaac POV)
I woke up and groaned clenching my head.
After I walked away from my friends I was captured by Mr. Wilton, Kathy's father, and let me say... This man loves to drink. I had to keep up with him and in the end, I was drunk as f**k.
So drunk that my dad had to take us back home. I stayed at the family mansion and because of that, I needed to wake up early.
The hospital was an hour's journey from the mansion while it's only 10 minutes from my house.
I took a pain relief tablet, quickly showered, and put on my spare clothes.
"Eat breakfast," Mom said as I walked down the stairs.
"I am not hungry. I will be late if I don't hurry" I said as she frowns.
"I have made you, your favorite. Besides, you were so drunk asleep to eat a proper dinner. So I don't care if you are late. Your health is the priority" she said as I sighed and walked to the table.
I kissed her cheek and sat on the counter as she served my breakfast. After I eat and put a satisfactory smile on her face I made way to my home.
Entering my house, I was immediately notified of a message. I took out my phone and a smile made way to my face as I saw a message.
'Good Morning, Doctor!' – It said.
I smiled as I quickly texted her back.
'Good Morning, Madison. I will be running late today since I stayed with my family' – I replied mentally frowning for giving her details.
Why did I message her that I will be late?
"Don't think much. It's because I will be late for the rounds" I murmured to myself as I made way to my room.
"Master, Do you want breakfast?" Lily, my maid asked as I shook my head.
"Already had it," I said walking up the stairs.
Lily has been my nanny since I was a baby. Don't get the wrong idea. Mom was a significant part of my life. But Lily and I have a special bond.
After I quickly changed and put on my coat before driving myself to the hospital.
As I entered the hospital I looked at my watch. I was 2 hours late.
I entered my office noting the excess number of patients waiting.
"How many are there?" I asked as I sat on my chair and switched on the computer.
"As of now we have 8," the nurse said as I nod.
"Alright. Time to work"
(Madison POV)
"The doctor said they will shift papa to the room, today," I said in the phone.
I rolled my eyes as my aunt kept ranting about how idiotic it is to transfer papa to a specialty hospital in the city.
She is only thinking about the hospital cost. She kept ranting about how multi specialty hospitals squeeze the money out of us but to be frank, I don't care.
Our local hospital has given up on dad and if it wasn’t for Dr. Isaac, I don't know what I would have done.
"Shawna, I have to go. The doctor is coming soon" I said as I immediately cut the ozone.
"Is she still complaining?" my sister asked as I turned and rolled my eyes.
"Yep. For once, cant she silently thank the god her brother is safe?" I said as I sat on the bed.
I looked at the phone and frowned.
'So you will be late?' I messaged him 3 hours ago.
"He must be busy" I murmured as I switched it off and put it in my pocket.
"Were you looking whether your hot Doctor messaged you?" Vanessa, my sister asked as I glared at her.
"Oh shut up. I know you are crushing hard" she said as I turned to the side clearing my throat.
"I will go but breakfast," I said as I stood up. She grinned at me as she rubbed her 4 month old belly.
I walked to the canteen, purposefully walking through the path where Doctor Isaac's office is situated.
I could see a few patients sitting in front of his cabin, the nurse calling the next person's name.
I sighed in relief.
So he didn't reply because he was busy.
I admire Doctor Isaac and yes, my sister is right. I have a crush on him.
But I don't want to disturb him. I don't want him to feel that I am a burden.
I was so occupied in looking at his office; I bumped right into two women.
I smiled as I recognized one of them.
"Oh, Doctor Margaret. I am sorry" I said as she smiled wide at me.
"What a surprise, Maddy," she said as I smiled and nod my head.
Doctor Margaret was one of the assistant doctors who also, at times check on my dad. She was really friendly and at one point in time, she even started calling me Maddy.
"Who is this?" a beautiful girl in blond asked as she looked at me with her cat eyes.
"Oh, this is one of mine and Isaac's patient's daughter. A complete sweetheart" the Doctor said as the blond girl looked at me from head to toe.
"Maddy, this is Katherine. My friend" She said as I smiled and nodded.
"Is this the same patient's daughter?" Katherine suddenly asked as I raised my eyebrow confused.
"Sorry?" I asked as the Doctor laughed and waved her hand.
"Yes, she is, Kat. And Mads when you messaged Isaac, his friends played with him asking if you are his girlfriend" the doctor said as my eyes widen.
I immediately moved my eyes away as I blushed and cleared my throat. When I looked back at them, both had a completely different expression.
While the doctor was trying to cover up her smile, the blonde was staring at me in hate.
Obviously, the girl likes Dr. Isaac and from the way she was behaving, they were not dating.
"Nice to meet you," she said as I gave her an innocent smile.
"Same to you," I said as she bites her chin and once again looked at me from top to bottom.
"I have to go buy breakfast. I'll see you later, Doctor." I said as I smiled and waved at both of them before making my way to the hospital.
The blonde screams jealousy.
