The fire was rapidly spreading throughout the village. Kitten recognized the urgency and understood that it was only a matter of time before the flames reached them. With a sense of urgency, she darted through the orphanage, carefully waking all the children from their slumber. "We must evacuate immediately," Kitten exclaimed, aware of the impending danger. As she glanced at the frightened children, a dreadful feeling engulfed her when she realized that one child was missing. The absence of Ruby created a sense of panic. Shortly after, a group of high elves, adorned in shining golden armor, approached. Their towering stature exuded strength and power. However, Kitten and the others couldn't help but notice the rigid demeanor and haughty behavior they seemed to possess. Although they often made jokes about it, there was no time for such frivolity. They understood the urgency of the situation and knew they needed to take immediate action. "Come, children," the leader of the high elves commanded. "I am General Azariah. It is time for us to depart. Walk in pairs and maintain a straight line. Follow my soldiers." "But what about Ruby? We heard her scream," one of the children anxiously inquired. "I will search for her. The rest of you must follow my soldiers," General Azariah declared. Worried" tone: "Kitten and the children anxiously trailed behind the soldiers, their minds racing with questions. Why were there such highly-ranked soldiers present? And why was there so much fire? What on earth is happening here? But above all, the most distressing thought was about Ruby. Was that her scream they heard? I must find her! From the day she arrived, I made a promise to protect her, to always be there for her. Kitten, filled with worry, bided their time until no one would notice and quietly disappeared from sight. Worriedly, Kitten frantically searched through the orphanage, desperately looking for Ruby. Her heart sank as she heard a deafening noise that resembled a fight, immediately causing her anxiety to skyrocket. Filled with concern for Ruby's safety and the source of the commotion, she couldn't help but think, 'I hope everything is okay.' Kitten's legs propelled her forward as fast as they could carry her, but her fears intensified when a loud explosion shattered the air, signaling that danger was drawing nearer. The panicked feline kept running until, unfortunately, she became ensnared in the blast, sending her hurtling through the air. Crashing onto the ground below from the third floor, she found herself buried under a pile of rubble. Worried sick, kitten was engulfed in excruciating pain that clouded her vision, rendering her unable to see properly. She felt someone yanking her out from the rubble. "Why are you here? What were you thinking?" The voice was familiar, but she couldn't discern who it belonged to. The pain was excruciating, causing her to lose consciousness. After a while, she began to regain consciousness and, much to her astonishment, Azariah was before her eyes. "Why are you still here, little kitten? You really should have left. I had the responsibility to search for Ruby. I assured you that I would locate her. It's a perilous situation there, with monsters surrounding us. We are being assaulted. Therefore, it is imperative that we locate Ruby immediately, Azariah. I must inform you, little kitten, that I am aware of her whereabouts," Azariah conveyed with a deep sense of concern. Kitten was deeply concerned by the sound of that. 'Where is she? What happened? Is she okay? Please, tell me she is okay, Azariah. Azariah, grappling with the devastating news, struggled to find the right words. You see, they had captured her. Kitten's worry consumed her thoughts as she wondered, 'They got Ruby? How? What will they do to her? Is she going to be okay? This makes no sense.' Azariah lost consciousness, and blood was everywhere. Kitten needed to act quickly and find something to use as a bandage. Then, an idea struck her - she could use her cloak. Swiftly, she tore her cloak into strips and tied them around Azariah's wounds as best as she could manage. 'Well, at least I've managed to stop the bleeding,' unconscious, leaving Kitten astonished. At that moment, Ruby appeared in the distance, and Kitten rushed over to embrace her. 'I thought they had captured you, Ruby.' Kitten exclaimed. Ruby replied, expressing her fear and explaining how she managed to escape. Kitten informed her that the others were safe with high-ranking soldiers. Suddenly, without warning, an intense blast of energy struck them. A man dressed in black armor emerged, seizing Ruby and forcibly carrying her away. In a desperate plea, Kitten shouted, 'No, let her go!' The man looked back, chuckling as he met Kitten's gaze. Mockingly, he raised his hand and fired another energy blast at her. Overwhelmed with pain, Kitten lost consciousness. The man callously remarked that her friend was now deceased. Several hours later, Kitten stirred and, to her dismay, noticed that they were gone. Tearfully, she cried out, realizing that they had taken Ruby. However, she quickly remembered that she needed to check on Azariah, finding her still unconscious. Kitten became aware that the fire had spread and the enemy had vanished.
